I recently attended the Mannequin Madness event at Aura with Rebecca Perry. Laura and Jason had put a lot of thought into the theme in preparation with several sets on the day.We all had plenty of shoot time with Rebecca and got some great images.The studio is an awesome space with great natural light as well as an abundance of high quality studio lighting.Looking forward to working there again sometime and it comes highly recommended.

I recently attended a workshop at the studios with Rebecca Perry. It was clear the studio team Emily and Jason had put a lot of thought into the theme in preparation. There was plenty of support when needed too and they were happy to share their expertise during the day.

The studio is easy to get to and there's no trouble parking right outside. It will continue to be my studio of choice - I'm already booked in for another two events.

I've probably got a stack of references to leave after this one, but never mind! 😅 I'm really behind with references and this is one from a tour I did during which I spent several consecutive days shooting at Aura Studio with different photographers... Every shoot different, every shoot inspired with the individuals who came to work with me, and every shoot thoroughly enjoyed due to the great facilities offered by this venue. 😀 It was in fact the last time I got to work in the industrial side of the building which some creatives may well remember, AND the last chance to use some very cool props as it was in the midst of a sale that the studio were doing of many of their posing boxes etc. I feel very glad that my photographers and I managed to jump on the chance while we could! before Aura made it's grand transformation.

The great (and possibly most famous) thing about this space is the diversity of light sources. ☀ The natural light is phenomenal with the huge windows, and what a lot of folks indeed go for! But the infinity curve/studio side of things is also quality with an abundance of top kit to get just the effect you're after for any given project. 🙂 My multiple shoots varied across all of the lighting and set options: no two shoots being the same! There was dreamy and soft in the diffused window light, through to edgy and styled with quirky posing props on the plain studio walls, to me becoming part of the furniture or just sunbathing in the suns strong rays when they beamed on through! 😆 I love it when you have several great sessions which are just charged with endless unique creativity, though admittedly I do find that having a great place to work plays a big part in helping that inspiration as I did notice my photographers being really keen to pick up on shot opportunities themselves. The fact that I had been to the studio sale (as well as some of my photographers!) also meant that I had a cool new outfit range to test out in the gorgeous sets and light hehe!

The studio were also very flexible and helpful as I was planning my tour, different photographers had different availability and duration requests which meant I was pinging back and forth with Aura HQ constantly to get it all planned. Surprised they weren't sick of me before I even got there! 😂 But no: very accommodating and patient, willing to do whatever they can to bend over backwards for bookings and help clients fulfil their creative pursuits. Comms' are always a breeze, and when you're there help is always on hand to either get some jazzy lighting setup arranged for you, to move things or even assist if an extra pair of hands is needed to fiddle with a reflector or something. It's a caring and positive environment which adds lots of good vibes to your shoot(s) and this is why it's always worth returning multiple times! ❤ Oohh - there is always a good cuppa on offer as well! 😜

I tour a fair bit quite often finding myself in the South and beyond, Aura is a brilliantly convenient (and top quality) shooting venue which makes an ideal stop on the way down. It's also a good halfway point for people in the North and South to meet up because it's conveniently quite central in the country... I have had photographers come shoot me here from all over the place. 👍 Dead easy access from the M1 if you're driving, free parking and lots of shops/businesses closely to pick up essentials after a shoot or between shooting. 🙂

I'm always delighted when I get to drop by and catch up with the lovely Aura team! Get yourself booked in for a safe, professional and innovatively inspired space to base your photo shoot from! A late reference, but only because it's worth taking the time to properly sing their praises... In fact you better watch this space because I have several more references to come! 😁

They provided space for a 2 hour shoot with Keira Lavelle. We were provided with ample space and all the facilities needed. A hoist turned out to be very useful. Perhaps the most useful facility was the excellent natural light and the space which made the stereo much more dramatic. Laura was very helpful and I was pleased to meet her having communicated years ago about a possible shoot. I intend to be back here soon.

I had a 2 day studio day at the new Aura working alongside Ivory Flame in the white room. Laura is fantastic host, friendly, helpful and on hand if you need anything. The large studio space has lots of sets dotted around and is big enough for 2 models to shoot separately with individual photographers simultaneously. This made the studio day run smoothly opening up the option to book to photographers onto the same time slot and working 1-2-1 with myself and Ivory.

I love this space and look forward to returning later this year :)

My first shoot, not counting a recent workshop, at this Studio under its new management.

It was great to be back in a studio whose attractions fully justify the drive from London. There is ample space (we shot in the Apex) for two photographers to separately shoot two models, using both natural light and flash.

Laura and Jason were welcoming and helpful but melted away when not required.

It is great to see this great photographic facility being further developed and taken forward under the new regime. Very highly recommended.

This is the first time I have used this well known space, now Aura Photographic. Laura and Jason were excellent hosts, with Jason being very helpful and patient with my requests for setting up lights and moving large props, and Laura ensuring that we had everything we needed.

As anybody who has used the space know it's one of the best studios around, with features that you can't find elsewhere, so I would highly recommend it and will definitely return.

What a fantastic shoot I had here yesterday with the wonderful Ayla.

Laura and Jason were so welcoming, friendly and also happy to assist when required.

The studio itself offers beautiful natural light alongside all the studio equipment and props you'll ever need. All this is also offered at a very reasonable price.

Overall a photographer's paradise that is well worth the 200 mile round trip. I can't wait to go again.

Ghost Light Photography

Sometimes the destination is more than worth the journey. Aura is one of those destinations. An exceptional shooting facility with so many opportunities. Large windows give abundant natural light, white and black coves give plenty of options for studio set ups. A wide range of lights, modifiers and props for every eventuality.

Pre-shoot communications were both quick and informative, the online booking process was smooth and straightforward. On the day, assistance was available when required but we had the space and freedom to shoot in our own way.

This is an absolute gem of a studio. A few hours is barely enough time to scratch the surface of the possibilities on offer.

I have been modelling across the globe for ten ears and I can honestly say that Laura (the studio owner) is one of the most welcoming and nicest people you can meet in the industry.

I cannot recommend her studio enough! Truly superb inside and out. The space is very versatile to work in.

An excellent space and I always felt so fully looked after from the moment I arrived to leaving.

I already look forward to my next visit in February for our photography event!

Very very very highly recommended by me to all models and photographers!

APS Phototography

Another great shoot at the studio, this time using the Armoury studio for 4 hours with Beth Kate, and then in the afternoon i had organised a 2 hour sampler for 3 colleagues who had never been to a studio before. Jason did a session for them on the white and black curves with Beth as the model and the guy and girls were blown away with this and now have their appetites wetted for some more studio work.

This was my first visit to the rebranded Aura Photographic Studios having previously been there under the former management. The event was a Laser Workshop, with two models and seven photographers in attendance, under the leadership of Laura aka Emily and her partner Jason.

The level of care that went into this workshop was much appreciated.

Group shoots alongside strangers can always be a bit weird, to say the least, but the Aura staff made every effort to make everyone feel comfortable and a part of something bigger, and this made all the difference. I was placed in a group with two other photographers, and as a group we made every effort to make sure that everyone got something unique from the shoot. Nothing was too much trouble, from moving lights to setting lasers, all of our concepts were met with maximum effort!

Fully recommended, and I can't wait for my next shoot there!

A lovely second shoot back at AURAPhotographic after my first on the Thomas Holm Workshop a few weekends ago. This time I was back in the Apex, relived to find that all the old props and sets were still there. Jason was on hand to help me set up, and provide a most welcome cup of coffee. It was also lovely to catch up with Emily later. Its a big relief to know that this fantastic studio is still there, and available for us all to use. I wish you both every success for the year ahead and the future. Thank-you for a lovely morning.

I have visited AURA Photographic Studio twice now. The first time for one of the excellent Thomas Holm workshops and then a week or so later for a two hour shot with the equally excellent Gemma Marie.

The fist thing I'd say about AURA Photographic is that it's big! There are two ginormous studio rooms to shoot in, great back-drops, plenty of lighting and a growing collection of props. Emily is an excellent host and doing a great job, having recently acquired the studio.

Definitely worth a visit.

Always wanted to shoot at this studio but was nearly a 3-hour drive to the studio BUT on a workshop for Thomas Holm I thought I would kill two birds with one stone.

Fabulous spaces to work and Emilly could not have been more welcoming, nicer and more helpful.

I've just concluded a large group shoot and three days of workshop at Aura, and I can highly recommend the venue. Emily has only recently taken over the place, including all the inventory from the previous owner, and that is the only qualms I have; there are almost too many posing boxes, furniture, beds, and props in general, which makes choosing what to use hard.

Hehe, I can't really hold that against them though, can I?

Emily and Jason (and Wolf) were very helpful in getting all the techniques to work, keeping me well hydrated with coffee and tea and catering, and making sure I could concentrate on teaching while they handled most of the practicalities.

Thanks so much for the good energy, amazing facilities, and good props, I'm looking forward to the next round!

Yesterday was my first time meeting Laura as myself and Edson Caballero were running a partner acrobatics / acroyoga event at her studio.

The studio is incredible, I'm so so glad she has occupied the space and is putting in endless work to make it her own.

My event had a lot of specific requirements in terms of space, height, lighting and so on, and I could not have chosen a better place to host it! Laura was beyond incredible from our first interaction online to the end of an exhausting day.

Even being November, the studio was well heated, everything I needed was accessible, she helped out no end with making sure I had tea, lighting sorted, triggers working and I can't even begin to explain the work she put in herself to make my event run for the few participants who joined remotely due to COVID. Without Laura, I'd have been a headless chicken trying stressed to the max to bring it all together, but with her there my part (almost) felt effortless despite the 8 hours of acrobatics!

Laura is so friendly, welcoming and made me feel incredibly safe and well looked after during my time at AURA.

I want to scream from the rooftops just how incredible she is and what an amazing studio she has!

Laura's passion for photography shines through and as I was leaving late into the evening, exhausted and happy, there she was painting sets and putting in yet more work on the studio!

I love the space so much that even with a 2 hour drive each way i'm back again later this week for another exciting opportunity and will continue to recommend her studio and use it as frequently as possible!
