I had my first shoot at Aura which I rented for the day to shoot ballet poses with Beth Kate.

The studio is absolutely fantasic. It is situated in an old Napoleonic-era military ordnance depot with huge vaulted ceilings, 5 wonderful large 19th century windows which flood the studio with natural light, and a massive Infinity Cove to allow plenty of room for ballet jumps and other aerial effects. The studio is also full of high quality props which are all avaialble for use free of charge.

Emily and Jason were wonderfully helpful in helping set up the lighting for the later studio part of the shoot and were also generous with the refreshments.

I totally recommend Aura and will definitely use the studio again.

On Wednesday, 11th of January I had the honour of shooting in this amazing studio space. It contained a fabulous infinity wall, very high ceilings perfect for my ballet shoot with Bob (trebor images). Female run, safe environment. Would highly recommend

Attended a themed fashion shoot a few weeks ago, Rouge / Noir. The day was a great success Marie Jean Saxton modelled a range of fashion outfits with some been made by studio owner Emily. A number of different lighting set ups were used throughout the day and background effects which contributed to very successful and enjoyable day. It was a very well planned and thought-out event and the second group shoot I have attended, the first been the Thomas Holm studio workshop which was also an excellent. Can highly recommend the studio and also the group workshops on offer, also the studio owner Emily who puts so much effort into organising these events.

Had a wonderful first shoot at the amazing Auraphotographic studio with the wonderful SubEnchantress.

The studio is a large, airy space with excellent studio lights / kit and infinity wall at one end and a great open space at the other with gorgeous natural light. An abundance of props and with Max, our most cordial host for the day, anything and everything was possible; we achieved all we set out to do and more. Max was a tremendous help and nothing was too much trouble.

Thank you Aura for a great shoot and I hope to visit again soon!

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

Had a lovely day at a group shoot with Marie Jean today. I believe Emily made some of the costumes! It was a well thought out themed shoot and the input from Aura and the other photographers made it a very pleasant and productive day. Marie was awesome to shoot (a good choice of model). Another fabulous event at Aura! Somehow three years had passed (cheers covid!) but I was delighted to be able to come back and work from one of my favourite studios! It’s always a joy to collaborate with Emily, she’s super talented at what she does…. She’s not just a studio owner but a darn fine creative talent and she even makes pieces for shoots!…. She even made me a black corridor for one of our sets for the rouge noir event! Now THAT is dedication! Other studios please take note….

Aura is spacious and light and the new space is just incredible! I was very very well looked after throughout my whole stay and really couldn’t have asked for more as both Emily and Jase took care of everything and made me feel welcome (and warrrrrmmm)

The groups were full of lovely people, I’ve never once seen anyone walk through Auras doors that could make a model uncomfortable at all. It just goes to show what a special studio this really is, magnified and reflected back through the calibre of photographers who attend.

I can’t wait to come back already and I’ve already looked at some dates lol so I’ll be straight on it getting something else booked in.

If you haven’t worked here, you’re missing out! Get your butts there!

Great club night at Aura studios on Friday. Two great models and helpful advice on a variety of sets made it an enjoyable and productive evening.

The studio is very spacious and there was plenty of room for two shoots to be going on simultaneously.

I will be back...

Well I've now had the pleasure of working at this diverse space on many occasions now and every time has been absolutely fantastic!

Firstly the studio owners are fabulous host!, Nothing is too much trouble for them.

For Models, You have access to amazing facilities, your own private room/changing room dressing gown, styling and all the little things that make working at a studio even more comfortable to work in

The space itself is superb! You could be there for a full weekend and still not shoot everywhere! Beautiful decor features make for special imagery.

I felt warm, safe, looked after and creative.. As a model I can't ask for anything more.

Very highly recommended to all models and photographers :-)

An excellent first time shoot at the superb Auraphotographic studios today - and what a first class experience it was.

Comms before the shoot were excellent, with a handy reminder sent the day beforehand - which was a great touch!

Arriving at the studio with our model and co-photographer, Emma gave us a very warm welcome, and showed us around her wonderful studio.

The one thing that is amazing about Auraphotographic studios is the huge amount of space, with lots of creative set-ups in various places around the room as well as an absolutely massive white studio area - which was perfect for our dance related shoot.

The studio is equipped with excellent pixapro kit, triggers, light modifiers, snoods, etc etc - and Emma gave us a great technical run through of the triggers, helping us with various settings, and after a while giving us some well valued creative input. The props and furniture are excellent, and our model-dancer was delighted both with the sprung floor and space - and the natural lighting streaming through the windows.

I highly recommended studio - and I know that I will be heading back some time soon.

Check out the online events being held by Auraphotographic, which look to be excellent, and do yourself a favour and book some time at the studo; you won't be disappointed!

Attend the club night which is amazing value, with plenty of time to shoot each model, not rushed. The studio it self is amazing and has everything you need. The two models this evening were amazing and was made to feel welcome by the owners will be back.

Attended a Fashion Nude workshop ran by Thomas Holm at Aura Photographic. A very well structured and presented course held within a first class studio environment offering both options for studio and natural light photography. A large white infinity cove, large Georgian windows and lots of additional accessories created a very enjoyable and inspiration day. Both the studio and Thomas’s workshop can be recommended. Thanks to all involved.

A great course delivered by Thomas Holm at Aura today, the studio hosting this very well indeed working very hard to make the day successful. A big thank you to owner Em and the ever helpful Jason, who although being a fellow delegate worked so hard behind the scenes too. Highly recommended.

Due to train strikes and an incident in the rail network I was delayed, I had no way of getting to Aura, Emily went above and beyond and came to Birmingham to get me. So glad she did, great studio and great workshop, the dancers were good and the instruction from Thomas Holm was helpful.

I had no idea that this amazing studio was undiscovered by myself in an area that I often travel to for shoots!

I attended the studio as a model for one of Thomas Holm's workshops and was absolutely blown away from the second that the blackouts were opened. I'm a lover of natural light, so this space with it massively high ceilings is like a creative sweetshop for me. The array of props meant that shooting art nude back-to-back with multiple photographers on a studio day never got fatiguing. Unfortunately there wasn't time to shoot any suspension or use the Killing Eve bedroom set, but that's to be rectified in January as I loved the space so much that I and co-model Georgia Brown are hosting consecutive TWO studio days there.

Now about the people involved: Emma and Jase are friendly, bright, beautiful people who made me feel safe and welcomed to a family. I immediately felt like I'd known them years and as though I'm now part of something really special.

Can't wait to soak up all the wonderful atmosphere at Aura Studios again very soon.

I shot at AURA on Saturday with SubEnchantress. It was my first time back in the studio since the change of ownership. It is a glorious space, already great to shoot in with both the natural light and the infinity curve setting, not to mention the array of props – walking in for the first time, it is a bit like walking into the toy shop and being spoilt for choice as to where to start. However, it is clear that Emily has big plans for improving it further, expanding the shooting space an creating a different area which will be exciting to see when realised.

Talking of Emily, she’s friendly and helpful, happy to provide tea and aid with the moving of lighting and props, and it just makes for a positive environment. Definitely recommended.

(On the day we were there, we were also aided by Alan (Wavepower), who was around prepping for a shoot of his own – so a shout out and thanks to Alan as well, though that was just an added bonus!)

I shot at AURA today with Craig2112.

This studio has endless possibilities and wonderful natural light. It has more props you can shake a stick at. I took advance of a lot of them.

Emily was always on hand to help with lighting and moving things around. Plus she makes a fabulous cuppa.

The studio is currently having a few renovations to include a mezzanine floor which will look superb when completed. I really hope to go back when that’s completed.

This was my second time visiting AURA as a part of a model tour and as always it was a delight to be there. I am made to feel so welcome as is everyone who walks through the door. Laura and Jason can't do enough to help and they are so kind. The space is lovely and I really like the new changing area. Would highly recommend and hope to be back again soon! :)

My first visit to Aura for a portfolio builder group shoot with Chris Conway. I was made to feel welcome and fully enjoyed the evening. The space is large and airy with loads of equipment and lots of items that could be used to create sets. Thanks to Laura for providing such a great environment. Highly recommended.

My second visit since the change of ownership. I was hosted by Jason today who looked after me and my model very well and helped throughout the booking with tea, setting and moving lights. My 4 hours there flew by and I had an enjoyable and creative time there using various features of the space. The natural light there and the hi speed flash units were used to great effect on the day. Lovely helpful people, lovely studio.

This was my first visit to the studio since a change of ownership and it was lovely to see what Laura had done with the space and to hear what she has planned next. The opportunity for variety is astonishing at Aura and I hear there will only be more to come!
