Had an excellent shoot at Scarlet Door Studio. Shawn is an experienced professional photographer which shows in the facilities available at the studio. Layout is well thought out and welcoming for both photographers and models. Shawn was at hand through out the shoot to provide assistance with lighting which was a great help. I highly recommend the studio to all who want to create top class imagery.

I have shot at scarlet door to many times to say ....Shawn on every single occasion has helpful attentive and suggestive, I have never experienced a place like it, and I have shot at a lot of studios....there is always a cup of coffee on the stove and a cheery smile from Shawn, he's lighting expertise is second to none and the quality of his workshops outstanding, I hope shoot there many, many more times, however he does need to get more Jaffa cakes in !!!

I had a great studio weekend at Scarlet Door this month- Shawn is fantastic company, runs things very well, pre shoot communication is excellent and I always have a great time. I can only add to the things everyone ese has said- highly recommended and I'd work there again any day.

I'm very new to photography and have just spent another amazing hour at Scarlet Door Studios. My aim is always to learn something new and I certainly did that today.

This is my second visit to Scarlet Door and yet again Shawn was extremely helpful and enthusiastic, again I came away with a buzz and want to take more pictures.

My 3rd visit to the studio I believe! :)... To many to remember!... I really love this studio!...

Its always nice and warm... and with the re-jig of the place it has a fabulous changing area with mirrors and proper make-up mirrors!... Couldn't ask for more!... Tea/Coffee and such!... The studio itself is clean and simple with a variety a props and backdrops!... Fabulous place for Fashion/Beauty and real high end shots!...

I have recommended this studio to so many people and will continue to do so!!...

Oh and did I mention the studio owner is bloody awesome & lovely!

I shot at the Scarlet Door Studio as part of a lighting course run by Mike Croshaw. The studio is very well equipped and well run, Seam was very obliging with setting up the various lighting arrangement for the course. Very open and unrestricted giving the photographer and model plenty of room to move around and get the ideal image. Highly recommended.

Shawn's lighting knowledge is amazing and he explains it in such simple terms that even the newest of new photographers will understand.

The studio is extremely well equipped and has excellent tea, coffee, drinks facilities.

The models area is fab and private and again very well equipped.

I love using this studio and will continue to do so for a long time to come.

I had my first shoot at Scarlet Door today and I can honestly say it has been one of my favourite venues to shoot in so far.

The makeup area was fantastically kitted out and it was really lovely to have my own little room to get our model ready in.

Sean, who was with us throughout was friendly and very helpful making sure the studio was nice and warm for us before our arrival on this rather chilly day.

Would highly reccommend and I hope to be back soon!

First shoot at Scarlet Door. Excellent pre-coms from Shawn making it easy to plan and set-up the shoot. He's very welcoming and provided great assistance throughout the shoot with nothing being too much trouble. Also, as Alia-Michelle has mentioned, it was much appreciated having the studio at a pleasant temperature on a very cold day!

My first time at Scarlet Door and I shall be back! The studio is a very good size and the equipment is fantastic - no shortage of lights and adapters, plenty of props and adornments for the model along with the usual necessary facilities. And Shawn, who was on hand throughout to advise on lighting and set-up. The time saved by this was significant but, more importantly, the security of knowing that this guy was there to adapt the lighting to overcome issues was fantastic. Oh, and he kept it warm too, very necessary on a freezing cold day. Very highly recommended indeed.

Brilliant workshop tonight at Scarlet Door with Rosa Brighid. Shawn was excellent at leading us through and explaining a wide range of different lighting setups and styles of shot, with the opportunity to shoot each one and experiment as well. The attendees at the workshop had a range of levels of experience which was also really useful, as I was able to learn from the other people there as well. The studio is really great in terms of space and facilities. Would totally recommend Shawn and Scarlet Door! :-)

After much research, as im new to the area and the photographer was travelling some way, we decided on scarlet door. Its a lovely roomy studio, a big comfy changing room, and shawn on hand to help if needed. He was very friendly and made us cups of tea on arrival (thank you!), and stayed out of the way unless we needed help, or just fancied a chat in our breaks! Highly recommended, hope to go back again in the future. Thanks again!

Learnt lots about lighting , shadows , camera settings , all i wished for and lots lots more,
