During my time in the south I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at Scarlet Door.

Shawn was fantastic in his approach to helping me plan my Model day and promotion of my one to one sessions. His advice and support whilst working away from home was very valuable and much appreciated.

The studio offers superb facilities for models and photographers alike. With a friendly professional set up, I can honestly say my first experience of shooting at this fully equipt studio was very enjoyable, I certainly intend be booking and shooting here again on future tours! Highly recommended!

I love this studio!

Great use of a decent sized space, plenty of choice of backdrop colour, good heating facilities, large changing room area with a huge, lit vanity mirror and last but not least, a brilliant owner with a solid client base.

I had a fantastic studio workshop here, both with Shawn and Modelography.

I would love to shoot here more often and couldn’t recommend more to other models and photographers!

My second time at Scarlet Door. What a great studio this is. Easy to use and great equipment. Shawn is downright awesome. Friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. Helped set up the lighting in a highly collaborative way then made himself scarce until called on for further help.

Great studio, great guy. Highly recommended.

I’ve used the studio for many years ,great space and props, tea , coffee always in supply.

Shawn is great , always greets with a smile and takes interest in your own wellbeing , if you need help he’s there and incredible knowledge.I would recommend 100% Scarlet Door, hope to come back soon.

I have been shooting at Scarlet Door a few times now and will do so going forward. Not only does the studio provide me with the on and off camera (tea&coffee ;-) ) essentials, I always learn so much from Shawn either in the workshops he is running or outside when I bring a model along.

Definitely recommended.

in the 12 months i have been doing model photography i never really knew where any good studios were for me to shoot in , that was until scarlet door studio was highly recommended to me , and boy am i glad that it was recommended , ive shot at scarlet door 4 times now since november and i just love the place its also ideal for me as its right on my doorstep and i will now be continuing to use the studio for other studio shoots in the future , shawn is an amazing guy the studio is always set up ready (props,lighting,heating etc) and there is an endless supply of tea and coffee and shawn really knows his stuff if ever you get stuck , i cannot recommend scarlet door studio highly enough for anyone wanting to shoot there and it is always a pleasure , will be booking the studio again very soon

Had my first ever shoot at Scarlet Door yesterday with the delightful Charliee.

Great space, plenty of room, plenty of lighting ready to be used and all that good stuff you'd hope for, and the inimitable Shawn, who was the ideal host; jumped in and helped when it was requested, kept out of the way when not, and kept the tea flowing!

Had my first workshop with Scarlett Door and it was great. Shawn made me feel welcome straight away, he also organised a shoot that was a well organsied, structed and professional workshop. The workshop was working alongside Charliee. Definetly recommend the studio and for sure be in touch again!

I attended a fitness/dance workshop run by Shawn today.

Superbly run in a relaxed atmosphere. The night was very informative. We covered a lot of different sets. Each lighting setup and the reason it was chosen was well explained.

Everyone got ample time to shoot each set and Shawn was happy to answer any questions and help as required.

The studio is very well equipped and combined with Shawn's experience the options are endless.

His choice of Dee and Charliee as the models was perfect.

Shawn and the studio are highly recommended and I hope to shoot there again soon.

I attended my first workshop at Scarlet Door last night arranged by Shawn. He organised the workshop which was structured in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. Charliee and Dee were the models who performed superbly throughout the evening and were ideal for the dance/fitness theme. Shawn covered a lot in the time available and was on hand to answer any questions. This was my first visit to Scarlet Door and will be visiting the studio again very soon. Thanks Charliee, Dee and Shawn for a really enjoyable and informative evening.

Had some technique issues showing up, particularly on location shoots. Booked a 1-2-1 tutorial with Shawn. He has the ability not only to critique constructively but then proposes the necessary corrections or adjustments, clearly demonstrates how they work and can explain in simple terms why. A really positive (and enjoyable) learning experience.

To cap it all, Charliee. was available to model for the tutorial Followed by some of her gymnastic cheerleading jumps and poses while Shawn and I "played around" with different lighting and sound activated triggering. I had great fun and learned a lot (they seemed to enjoy the jumping acrobatic sets as well - bonus!).

This was my first visit to Scarlet Door on my most recent tour.

It's a brilliant and well equipped space which was lovely to work in.

Shawn was always on hand for help with the lighting and making much needed cuppas!

I sincerely hope to return in the future! :D

Stargazer Photography

I've been coming to Scarlet Door now for a year and it's high time I left a well-earned reference.

As a studio, it's perfect for me - excellent space and height, quality lighting, great choice of backdrops, super-quick heating for those chilly starts and a wide selection of modifiers. There are no restrictions and limitations imposed on your creativity by the studio set-up.

Shawn is always a massive help and it's always great catching up with him.

Photographers love it here, models love it here, I love it here.

I had the pleasure of using Scarlet Door for a recent shoot. This an extremely well equipped space, very easy to find and helped make the shoot relaxed and laid back.

Everything worked very well from internet connectivity, lights, background rolls, display screens, heating and parking. Couldn't fault the facilities in any way.

I'd recommend this space to anyone in the surrounding area and hope to use the space again very soon.

I worked at Scarlet Door as a model for Kris Karl's headshot workshop over the weekend. This is the second time I've worked at the studio and I really enjoy it.

Shawn heats up the studio and keeps it warm through out the day. The changing room was really cosy and warm! Plenty of tea as well :)

Shawn is a really easy going person and easy to talk to. Love his weird mix of music on his playlist as well.

I've now moved so I'm quite close to the studio so I look forward to hopefully working there again at some point soon.
