I had a studio day at Scarlet Door on Saturday and really enjoyed it! Shawn is really nice, friendly and fun to be around for the day and really looks after you while you're modelling there - I found the heaters following me around the room without even having to ask once :-) Shawn was always on hand to help the photographers and despite being very humble about his photography has a huge amount of knowledge which he's willing to share (he'd also be a great person to get tuition from) and is patient and good at explaining set ups and is quick to interpret what photographers coming in are looking to achieve. The studio has lots of props and cool shoes to mix and match with your own outfits, lots of backdrops, a great dressing table for make up and a dressing room with a full length mirror, a private changing space and as much tea as you possibly want all day. The photographers coming in seemed so comfortable and at home too, so there is an overall relaxed and welcoming vibe and you settle in for the day quickly. I really highly recommend Scarlet Door (and Shawn!) and hope to visit again very soon! :-)

I attended a studio day at Scarlet Door with model Portia Victoria. Shawn was a great help with the lighting and also with the styling. I hope to return to the studio for some more studio days in the future.

I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot with Portia Victoria at Scarlet Door studios a couple of weeks back. Shawn is an absolute legend and has a fantastic playlist... :) Honestly, I instantly fell very comfortable at Scarlet Door... something very relaxed and creative about the space - I will deffo be shooting at Scarlet Door again.

Had a brilliant first shoot at Scarlett door last night. The studio is a great space with plenty of props, accessories and the lighting equipment is great.

Shawn really knows his stuff if anyone needs tuition?

The hospitality was spot on too- refreshments provided throughout the shoot ;o)

I'd recommend the studio space to anyone.

Another fantastic full day at Scarlet Door, I have worked at this studio many times now and can't recommend it or the studio owner Shawn highly enough! The first few hours were for a one to one photography lesson workshop - Shawn is an excellent teacher and really knows his stuff!

Every time I have worked there I have been made to feel very welcome, refreshments always offered and a well equipped lovely makeup/changing area.

Highly recommend the studio to everyone!

My first time down at Scarlet Door and straight away I could see why it's so popular. A great space with plenty of equipment that allows you to be as creative as you wish.

Shawn's a great host, available to assist if needed, especially when the photographer manages to cause a strobe to start smoking. :D

Highly recommend and looking forward to getting back there soon.

I held a Studio Day here and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! Easy to arrange, brilliant communication. And then the studio itself is brilliant! Huge amounts of equipment to create the shot your aiming for. Shawn is always on hand to provide advice and help if needed. Tea and Coffee in plentiful supply - essential for models and photographers creativity! I would highly recommend booking Scarlet Door!

My first visit to Scarlet Door and loved it, Shawn was brilliant, answering any questions and giving great tuition. A wonderful model in Sammi Jo who was very versatile and great fun to shoot. Any nerves I had prior were calmed by Shawn, Sammi and the rest of the guys there. Loads of space and ample shooting opportunities. Will I be back - most definitely

I had a giggle at the bit that asked 'Did 'Scarlet Door' show up?' not sure how i studio could no show lol

i had a the chance to spend some time and do a quick couple shoots in this studio today and loved it

Shawn was spot on the studio was lovely and clean and again the coffee was awesome

i look forward to working there again

I had the pleasure of shooting at Scarlet Door Studio on Saturday. One of the best model days I have had by far. Totally relaxed and fun atmosphere. I was well looked after and felt totally at ease throughout. I am already looking forward to going back. Highly recommended to any models/togs x

I had a shoot at scarlet door yesterday with Mike Croshaw and I was very impressed with the studio. It has a fantastic atmosphere as well as all the equipment needed for a shoot. There was a great area for the mua to work and for the models to get changed in privacy. Also the owner played my favourite music which was a bonus!

I hope to visit scarlet door again soon :)

Attended the Mike Croshaw lighting workshop today at Scarlet Door. Its a great studio with lots of scenes and props and Shaun the studio owner was more than helpful. Will deffo use again or attend an event there!!

I've used Scarlet Door studio frequently over the past year and always enjoy shooting there. It's large enough to have all the space you need for a studio shoot and there are tons of props and backdrops available for use. There is a wide range of equipment on offer and Shawn is always helpful without getting in the way, which is a tricky balance to strike, but he manages it with ease.

It's a very relaxed atmosphere but always professional, which is why I keep using it and chose it as the venue for my lighting courses.

I attended a course today at the Scarlet Door studio. The studio is spacious and well equipped. Shawn was a great host and although not running the course personally made a great contribution to the day. I hope to use the studio again in the future.

I had a great day at Scarlet Door today. Shawn very kindly picked me up from the station and was a really good host with tea and coffee on tap! The makeup area is excellent with lots of room, with a lighted mirror.

I would highly recommend Scarlet Door, and I would be more than happy to work there again.

World of Light

Shawn's Glamour Workshop with SammiJo was a great start to 2014. With a small group of togs a great model and Shawn leading us through a variety of setups and ideas. Each photographer had plenty of time to shoot and vary setups and it was a great social event to meet, socialise and learn from both Shawn, Sammie and others in the group. Absolutely recommended for both less experienced and those wishing to just refresh and refine.

I had my model day at Scarlet door studios in Bracknell yesterday, i love it there! photographers were never stuck with lighting, the studio has loads and loads of different looks that can be achieved, different papers, materials, lights, ladders, props, etc! shawn the owner is such a great guy, he'll help with anything you need help with.. he'll run around making tea's coffees or in my case he'd buy me bottles of coke! thats a good guy there!

was so much fun, and a successful studio day.

An Eye for Beauty

My first shoot at Scarlet Door and certainly not, I hope, my last. Shawn was very kind and helpful before the studio day with Rebecca Leah, which meant I arrived feeling relaxed. He gave a great welcome and, as it was new, we talked through things before Rebecca arrived. The occasion was relaxed and flexible, and Shawn helped me work through ideas so that we achieved a lot, and he was there to tweak the lighting until the effect was just right. I am thrilled with the results and am now beginning edits. He is very easy to get on with, and I look forward to return visits when I am in the Reading area again, staying with my daughter. Thank you Shawn.
