1st time at Scarlet Door for my own shoot rather than a workshop.

Shawn was fantastic and we wanted nothing, he even lent me a lense to produce the desired effect on one set up. His experience, know how and tradecraft meant I got some of the best images I have ever produced.

I will be back!

Attending a workshop here you'll find Shawn runs a friendly and professional establishment. He's extremely knowledgeable and most of all teaches you very well.

What can I say about Scarlet Door studios that hasn't already been said. It's a great studio with good space for shooting as well as model prep. I've shot here several times now and each time I've come away with some cracking images. As already mentioned, Shawn is an absolute legend and is always on hand to assist (and to make coffee!!!). Shawn always runs great workshops and model days of which I hope to attend several in the months to come.

Many thanks to Shawn at Scarlet Door. I shoot there often. Shawn is a great teacher and is always on hand with ideas and expertise. He runs a great studio. (Also makes great coffee). The workshops and model days are brilliant. A lot of fun and I always learn something new.

Belated Big Up.

Had studio lighting 101 with Shawn and Becky Dee at Scarlet Door. Took me from the basics to old style glamour in 2 hours! Great fun and learnt loads. I have already implemented many of the techniques on location shoots.

The session also opened my eyes to the possibilities for Studio shoots.

Excellent location, big space, good company, hands on help, relaxed atmosphere = Happy Tog.

I will be back.

Scarlet Door is a large studio with a wide range of equipment.

I have shot there tonnes of times and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

It currently hosts a wide array of studio days, which I am planning to regularly attend.

A final comment, the owner Shawn is an absolute legend. Cracking bloke and helpful when needed.

World of Light

Recent health problems meant recent plans were cancelled however I was finally back shooting at the studio for the first time even though I was limited in what I personally could do. A quick phone call to forewarn him, but I need not have worried as Shawn provided all the lighting set-up and assistance and we got a fantastic shoot done.

Friendly, supportive, helpful, very professional so of course absolutely recommended.

I was in Shaun's Studio twice last weekend. The first time for Mike Crowshaws' Advanced Lighting Workshop, then again the following day when I worked with Michael Lait. On both occasions he went out of his way to make sure I was ok. He assisted whenever was need, and was generally and all round awesome guy. His studio is well equipped, with a well lit area for models to do their makeup etc. Tea flowed throughout the day :D

Thanks again for looking after me and making it such a lovely experience.

Had my first workshop evening at scarlet door on wednesday, I wasn't really sure what to expect but the evening went very well with shawn constantly present and constantly at hand to help with lighting. Shawn is a great guy as well as talented at what he dose. the evening felt more like a socail meeting than work it was a lot of fun. I can't wait to arrange another. :)

Just had my first shoot at Scarlet Door and finally got to meet Shawn. A nice spacious studio with a good range of equipment although I only shot with a single Bowens flash with beauty disk and diffuser and a reflector. Good choice of backdrops although I settled for the grey that was already in place. Then, of course, I had the gorgeous Rebecca Leah as a model, which was the icing on the cake for my first visit. Shawn is a really nice guy, friendly, helpful and yet stays in the background unless you need him, when help is forthcoming. I will be happy to shoot there again as and when funds permit.

I often take part in the studio lighting workshops that are on offer at Scarlet Door through Shawn and Glen. They are both great teachers. The studio is nicely located, great facilities and easy to find. I have also booked this privately as I have found it so good and easy to use. Highly reccomended

As I needed a refresher, to get me back into the studio again. I booked a 4 hour Glamour course with Shawn. Model Sammi Jo.

Shawn ran the lighting set ups, really great and in a easy fashion to take in. One to one shooting with the model which is always a bonus.

A very friendly open evening all had. No questions went un answered, and Shawn goes out of his to make sure all had a good shoot. Most of all, we all learnt some thing more to studio set ups.

The studio is well equipped, with lighting equipment. Great space to shoot. Definitely will use the studio again.

Had a great and enjoyable studio day at Scarlet Door. The studio is fully equipped with various lighting equipment and props.

Shawn was brilliant, he really knows his stuff. He was always there to assist and give advise.

He is very welcoming, provided refreshments and made sure I was always comfortable. He even provided great heating which I loved as I am always cold.

I also loved the chats we had through out the day. A great day and I will definitely recommend to all. Thank you.

It is just over 12 months since I walked through the door and met Shawn. Since that time I have attended numerous excellent workshops that are run by both Shawn and others. Attended studio days with fabulous models which I could never afford to have shot on a one to one basis and hired the studio privately. It is a great space, well equipped (lights, backdrops etc) and Shawn is always on hand to give as much or as little advice and guidance as you want or require. I still consider myself as "someone who owns a camera", but there is no doubt I am moving in the right direction, in no small part to the activities at Scarlet door and the assistance and guidance of Shawn......Would highly recommend to all models and photographers (all levels).....Thanks Shawn...... :)

Nice stuio wiht a relaxed feel, space and really good height. Shawn is a thoroughly nice chap and is helpful whilst maintaining a great atmosphere. I'd have no hesitation recommending and look forward to attending in the future.

Had a great day attending a Studio Workshop organised by Mike Crowshaw with the help of Shawn, who was brilliant at quickly changing the lighting setups, then fading out with a coffee and a jaffa cake. Very friendly chap, great studio to work in.
