I had a shoot on a studio day and Shawn was very helpful and I learned something from him. I would highly recommend it to any one but someone beginner or intermediate you must give it a try I'm sure you will learn something from him.

There have been some changes since my last shoot and there appears to be more room but no matter Shawn has a terrific array of equipment and can arrange lighting for a variety of sets.

I've worked at Scarlet Door a handful of times now, and it's one of the best studios around with everything you need plus Shawn the owner is a great guy and really knows his stuff - it's a brilliant place for either experienced photographers or beginners and the same with models.

I was booked for a workshop that Shawn taught, he goes through lots of different set ups and looks, is very good at teaching and also letting people use their own ideas too. Always a great day!

Of course I would recommend Scarlet Door, its my home ... But for people wishing to book Scarlet to use here is a side note.

Shawn is a great guy, he is passionate about running Scarlet Door and will do his upmost to accomodate.

there is a wide range of lights and modifiers and and lots of space to manipulate the light. I seriously cannot recommend the studio more

I Have now had a number of shoots at scarlet door and would highly recommend this place.

Not only is it heavy equipped with equipment you have Shawn on standby to help with anything you need.

I recently attended a lighting workshop and the information and knowledge provided by Shawn was ace.

He explained different styles, different lighting techniques and how to direct models to get the most from your shoots.

With an added bonus the studio has now had a refit and looks fab. The studio feels alot bigger with alot of space to feel comfortable shooting any style.

Would defo highly recommend this studio and Shawn. Thanks

Update on previous reference.

I took part in a workshop held at Scarlet Door and loved every minute of it. Although the original model had to pull out due to an injury, the comms from Shaun were fantastic and he had another model fill in immediately and she did not disappoint.

Since the studio has undergone the refurb there is bags of room to shoot in and the models prep area is awesome.

I never fail to walk away with great images from Shaun's workshops. His lighting skills are great as is his passion for all those attending to enjoy every minute. He takes the time to explain everything that he does and ensures everyone understands.

Scarlet Door is and always will be my go to studio.

This is a fantastic studio. Apparently I was one of the first people to shoot in it since the refurbishment. The changing/make-up area is perfectly set up and he even supplies baby wipes, cotton pads hair grips and all the other little things that you always mean to bring but occasionally forget. The side is hinged so you can either have it closed for privacy or open so that you're part of the room while doing make-up.

There is a great studio space has everything you could need plus and interesting range of backdrops. Easy to get to, parking outside and Shawn is lovely.

I have shot at Scarlet Door several times over the last year or so. I'd like to update/endorse previous reference.

SD is a great studio with all the facilities you need to produce some super photos add to the proprietor ... Shawn .. he's always on on hand to help and advise. To be honest he's helped me considerably over the year to develop ... cheers Shawn ...cheers SD ....

Oh yes .. his studio days are great ...and lighting courses are well worth attending

It was my first shoot at Scarlet Door today; the pre shoot comm's were excellent, the studio day with Ulorin Vex very professional organised by Shawn, who has a very well equipped studio and is always on hand to help. I highly recommend Scarlet Door and look forward to shooting there again.

I have just spent the most amazing hour shooting the beautiful Carla Monaco at Scarlet Door Studio with assistance and tuition by the owner Shawn.

Having picked up a DSLR for the first time six months ago, this was my first proper shoot. Although I lacked experience and confidence both Shawn and Carla made sure I not only gained a lot more knowledge which was my goal, but left with some truly stunning images.

I can't wait to return.

World of Light

So far this year I have been able to shoot Victoria Bond, Carla Monaco and today Scarlet Door had a visit from the uber talented Portia Victoria. Shawn is able to bring in great models, also runs great workshops and supports the shooters providing quiet encouragement which I for one find immensely helpful. So if you are serious about shooting Scarlet Door is definitely a place to visit and shoot at. Absolutely recommended especially if you are local to sunny Bracknell.

Uber cool studio with a really nice easy going vibe and creative atmosphere, plus Shawn there is a top studio geezer, like a ghost but there whenever you need him, my fave studio; cheers I'll Shawn I'll be back soon.

Had a great series of 1-1 sessions and group shoot at Scarlet Door recently. Shawn was a great host, always eager to help and on hand all throughout the sessions. On the group shoot, Shawn came up with a variety of lighting set ups and techniques to help advance the photographers current skills - he did it in a very professional and fun manner. Everyone had a blast and learnt something new! I can not wait until I am back in the studio, this is definitely one of the best! Akari xx

I worked at Scarlet Door on my '3 day' studio day :) I was delighted to have sold out for 3 days and I couldn't of asked for a better studio to hold such an event.

Shawn the owner is such a lovely person, looks after everyone, gives assistance and help when needed to model and photographers.

The studio is warm and comfortable with good changing facilities. The studio is a big space in side and lots of equipment for all photography needs.

I can't recommend this studio enough and I will defiantly be going back.

My friend and I shot beautiful Carla Monaco at the Scarlet Studios. We had lots of lighting equipment and props at our disposal. And helpful assistance from Shawn, the owner. He was always at the ready to help with lighting when ever needed. His coffee and tea making expertise was equally appreciated. Great guy, super studio.
