Pencil Study for an oil "One Friday Morn'," (A3)

Very near to beginning an oil (on panel) of a mermaid perched upon a rock, set upon a stormy coast (after a prolonged period of Artists' block). I am getting very excited now, if a little nervous. This could be so good IF I get it right. Ella's outline is already on my canvas, but here I am pondering the finer details of her tail. If this project is successful, it will be the first of a mermaid series. Watch this space.
