Hi I am an amature artist based in Mid Devon. I have always enjoyed art, but with family and work demands I never had much time to pursue my passion. Now that my kids have grown up a bit and I have a bit more free time I have managed to sharpen up my pencils and enjoy not only drawing and painting but also mixing with other Artist, especially whilst based in London where I attended regular life drawing and portrait art classes.  In fact if any of you are from London you will know its possible to attend various art classes and events almost every day of the week if you so wish.

A few years ago I started posting a few of my sketches on a social media site and must say I so enjoyed the feedback, comments and support I received from fellow artists and models. It was through a number of these interactions that it was suggested I might join PurplePort not just to show my drawings but also to meet other like minded people.  My drawings are generally not for sale, this is my hobby and I do it for fun and enjoyment, but I'm more than happy for people to have the drawings if they want them and especially if they are drawings I've done of them.      

Lastly and perhaps of some interest to some of you, my wife and I are in the process of starting up a residential Art and Wellness retreat set in a beautiful 300 year old house and gardens in Mid Devon uk. All being well and the builders completing on time, we hope to be able to offering retreat course dates and residential courses towards the end of the Summer beginning of Autumn this year. We have already hosted a number of Mindfulness events, craft, life drawing days, and a small number of photography shoots but are looking forward to being able to offer a lot more events and residential stays later this year.
