Pippa.
I love shooting with Alan, his style of photography compliments my style of modelling perfectly, and we also shot at the perfect studio for both of us - Natural Light Spaces!
Alan is highly respectful and has great artistic intent, we worked well together in creating that perfect shot by adjusting the lighting, angle, he was happy to hear my feedback on athletic technique as well.
I was well energized with enough breaks and snacks that Alan had bought along. His reflexes are ON POINT! Capturing many jumps and even a no hands headstand, Alan understands athleticism and dancers which makes him a real joy to work with.
I felt in my element of creativity and I can highly recommend Alan to all!
Thank you :D

I shot again with Alan and Ceridwenimages at NLS - this time in trio with AnnaRose and Ayla! It was a really fun afternoon, shooting ballet, shapes, big gowns - a whole range of things! Alan and Ceri really know how to run an fun and creative shoot! I had unfortunately injured my back a couple of days before the shoot and immediately messaged both Alan and Ceri. They were both really understanding and ensured I wasn't going to feel pressured to push too far and injure myself further, which took the pressure off me and let me heal properly and was very kind of them both :) As ever, I highly recommend Alan to other models and hope we can shoot again soon!

It was great to work with Alan recently when he attended a workshop at my studio. He is an experienced photographer who had absolutely no problem finding his way around the studio. Alan's direction with our model was outstanding, and he worked very hard to get the images he wanted (which were excellent!). It was interesting to discuss studio tactics and I enjoyed finding out about his approach to shooting other genres such as dance photography. Alan was very easy to get along with, very organised and and I'd have no hesitation in recommending him to others. Thank you!

I had a wonderful second shoot with Alan at the NLS. As always pre comms where excellent so I knew the aim of the shoot and the items to bring to make these shots happen. Shooting with Alan always flies by because he is very easy to work with, chatty and professional. I enjoyed how Alan makes it a true collaboration between myself and him which lead to capturing the brilliant shots you see on his portfolio.
I hope to get another chance to work with Wavepower.
Highly Recommended!

Had a second, wonderful shoot with Alan at the Cottage studio last week and it's still a pleasure to collaborate with him! The dance shoot is something he's very good at. He knows exactly when to capture the best moment, works quickly and he's always up to keep going and create the best picture! I really like working like that as we always get amazing results! He also has a good eye for details!
He's still very organised, excellent at communication. He cames full of props and ideas in mind.
Once again, we really had a productive shoot, thank's Alan for this second opportunity! Highly recommended, especially for models who like to contribute to the shoot and create epic images! Trust me, you won't get bored!

I had the pleasure of working with Alan recently on a location shoot in Wales.
The weather forecast was a bit iffy but we decided to be optimists and go along with the planned shoot anyway.
It rained pretty much the whole shoot! However we both made our best efforts to still get some great images and this definitely paid off seeing the images that Alan has posted so far :)
Alan was very thorough with pre shoot communication and was very kind and considerate on the day bringing yummy cookies and grapes and tea and good conversation :)
I hope that we get to work together again with better weather or indoors as Alan is a friendly and creative photographer with lots of fantastic ideas for images.
Thanks for a lovely afternoon Alan sorry about the welsh weather!

I had my first shoot with Alan on Saturday and I couldn’t recommend him more!
Alan is a lovely guy, very chatty and respectful. Throughout the shoot he was so dedicated to every shot he took and paid very close attention to detail. Alan allowed me to have a look at the images after the shoot and I was very impressed and can’t wait to see them when they are finished.
I would definitely recommend Alan and would love to work with him again in future.
Thanks again!

I met Alan for coffee a few months ago and we agreed to keep in touch about projects that might interest both. Alan came along to a mini event I organised on Saturday as well as a mini pp social the previous evening.
Alan is great company and it was great to meet his lovely wife Sue. Throughout the shoot Alan was incredibly helpful assisting in every way he could, including acting as a de facto donkey to assist in moving all out gear around the location. Alan is an all round nice guy and so considerate. I won’t comment on his images, you can see for yourself that they are excellent.
In simple summary, Alan is wonderful to work with and a top bloke.

At last, I got to work with the awesome Alan! We had a lovely full day shoot in a beautiful sculpture park location, and shot a wide range of group and solo images (I was modelling alongside Jezebelle and CheallyCreatez).
Not only is he an excellent photographer but he showed us the images so we could all adjust and improve the shot, made sure we were all comfortable and well fed and watered (and supplied with ice cream) and was an absolute joy to work with.
Highly recommended 100%. Thankyou so much for a lovely day.

Shooting with Alan was a joy, he is a very thoughtful and respectful chap who has an absolutely love way around the camera - always thinking of the details, giving fabulous feedback and showing us models the back of the camera :)
And the images looked amazing!
I do hope to work with this wonderful photographer again, I can wholeheartedly recommend this amazing individual to all models and creatives :)

Alan booked myself and another model to do some cool duo flour shooting at NLS, shooting alongside Ceridwen Images. Flour is always good fun, and adding a second model in (a talented dancer too) really added an extra cool element. Alan had an extensive moodboard of ideas which was handy when planning shots, and we even managed some aerial flour shots which I have been wanting to try for ages! It was a tiring day (and the flour adds an extra element to manage) but Alan and Ceri made sure Nina and I had sufficient rest and fresh air. Once again I'm very happy to recommend Alan to other models, thanks Alan :)

I had a wonderful and over due shoot with Alan last week. This shoot was a first for me in many ways, it was a part duo shoot with the wonderful Em, a flour shoot and a part shoot with Alan and Ceri.
They all taught me about how to use the flour for a shoot and gave wonderful feedback.
Alan had a image in his head of what he wanted and I hope they we achieved these.
We had been in contact a while ago but never got round to the shoot until now.
I had a wonderful experience and hope to shoot with Alan again.
I would recommend him to new and experienced models, I feel everybody could take something away from shooting with him.
Thanks again

We were pleased to welcome Alan to our studio for his first visit the other day and we hope it won't be his last.
Pre shoot communication was first class. Well planned and prepared he kept us informed at all times.
He is a complete professional, curtious to the model, respectful of everyone and great company.
It was a pleasure to watch him work around the grounds and we look forward to seeing the results.
Highly recommended to any model or studio.

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon Alan - It is great to work with a fellow creative.
Alan is great, behind the camera and in person. From when Alan responded to my casting, his communications was perfect, kind and professional - I could tell we was going to have a fantastic afternoon.
Alan kindly picked me up from the station and we then made our way to Far Forest Studio. Immediately, our love for what we do was in tune. Our creative brain thoughts clicked conversely and even more so when we began shooting - what more do you want from a shoot. As an art nude model it is important for me that the photographer can respect the art nude form and express this in their own aspect.
Thank you for approaching me Alan, I'm glad you did. I 100% recommend working with him.
Best Wishes
Amethyst

I had a full day shooting with Alan yesterday, at five different locations across Somerset. It was a very hot and sunny day but Alan worked hard to get around the obvious issues of shooting in bright sun light.
We had very different locations including a lavender farm, a wheat field, a disused lime kiln, a wood with interesting tree shapes and a very picturesque beach.
We worked through a wide range of clothed and nude sequences and as always Alan showed me the back of the camera so I could see what we were capturing.
Alan took great care of me and brought a cool box full of goodies. He is professional, considerate, chatty, fun and respectful, and I recommend him to both new and experienced models. He always offers great direction and encouragement. His model photography speaks to itself and he has made such rapid progress in the two years he has been doing it.
I can’t wait to see the final images. Thank you Alan for a thoroughly enjoyable day :)

I has an amazing first shoot with Alan! I had briefly met him before when he was at the NLS where we decided that we must book a shoot, I was delighted when he came all the way to shoot at the NLS with me, pre comms where excellent and we had lots of good ideas planned out for the day.
Alan is lovely to work with, polite, creative and easy to talk to which made the day fly by.
I hope to work with Alan again in the future!

It was lovely shooting with Alan.
Communication was great and he booked a nice studio for our shoot. Professional, very respectful, well prepared with various props and open to ideas, we explore a few concepts and possibilities given from the environment.
I would gladly work with him again and I look forward to seeing our pictures together :)

For our fantastic fifth shoot, we shot flour ballet. I knew from working with Alan on tutorials previously that he was keen, as I am- to shoot flour/powder dance - he was on top of the list I kept from tutorials of photographers who are interested in this genre of dance photography- and that he, like me, had studied the flour ballet photography of A. Yakovlev. So when the opportunity to do an impromptu flour shoot arose at Natural Light Spaces (which is an ideal studio for dance photography, with a Norwegian sprung wooden floor and high ceilings), we both jumped at the chance. I’ve long loved doing flour dance shoots, so I was duly grateful to Alan. I feel that, when flour is combined with a ballet- trained model, there are so many possibilities for motion freeze capture to photograph- many of which haven’t been exploited or explored already, as this is a relatively new genre of photography- it is virgin territory. In shooting flour, people often tend to do the same one or two shots over and over- the hair flick, or the basic “stag” leap, for example- but there is the entire classical ballet vocabulary to potentially use, of both static poses and movement, as well as that of modern dance. So there is the real potential to take photos which are unique and truly new, never been done before- and creatively, that excites me.
Also, this was a great opportunity to implement what I’ve learned from previous flour shoots- for example, when I first gave Carl Grim the idea of shooting flour last year, 45 degree lighting was used, and I found that simply doesn’t work with certain dance movements. With Alan, you have a photographer who truly collaborates as a partner, and allows for proper discussion and preparation prior to the shoot, so we were able to successfully shoot ballet poses which work best square-on this time, instead of at 45 degrees.
I’m grateful to Alan also for organizing hotel accommodation and sustenance for me as we stayed overnight in Northampton- which he kindly arranged as he knew I was anxious to prepare for our next shoot- a duo with the great gymnastic model AnnaRose, and that I would need to wake up at stupid o’ clock to stretch and warm up. As always, Alan showed great consideration and professionalism in the lead up to our shoot and on the day. And this flour dance shoot is just the tip of the iceberg. Natural Light Spaces have kindly invited me back to shoot flour dance again for their portfolio builder session. And Alan and I are planning possibilities for our next dance shoot, as this is a genre of photography we are both passionate about.
Highly recommended. 😊
