I had a beautiful shoot with Alan: we had been talking about it for months if not years, due to the covid we had to wait until now but finally we made it and it was great! 🥰

Communication with Alan is the key that makes his shoots work so well. He is a clear, open, easy going person. He seeks and encourages feedback before, during and after the shoot, he establishes a true collaborative relationship that involves the model in every proposal. Exactly the kind of relationship that I love to have!

We shot 5-6 hours at Aura Studios and despite my train being late we didn't let bad luck discourage us, and we brought home excellent results and we are already planning a next shoot together! 😊

Can’t wait for that and can’t recommend working with Alan more!

If you love creating art with your photographer from the beginning of the project till almost the end (I’ll leave the post production with Alan 😁), than Alan is definitely the person you want to shoot with! 😊

Another amazing shoot with Alan!!

For the past year I have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Alan five times! Each shoot we have been blessed with the most beautiful weather and this was no exception. We had some gorgeous October sun.

I love creating with Alan. We have the best shoots! Alan has a great eye and is a fantastic photographer. We work really well together, AND he’s one of the nicest people I know. Alan is great to work with out on location, this time we visited a stunning barn with a roof like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Oh my did we adventure here. Working together we got some amazing images, Alan captured it all beautifully. We also grabbed an opportunity as we passed a field of sunflowers, and finished of at a derelict building. We covered so much, it was ace!!

Thank you Alan for yet another adventure creating the most amazing images!!

Yesterday I shot with Alan for the second time and again it was bloody lovely!

He turned up promptly on time for a cuppa and a quick chat before we began our day, to get reacquainted and organised. We laid out all our various props and garments, picked what we fancied for the day and began our ascent up the hill! Alan didn't hesitate at all when faced with a rather intimidating uphill climb to our location, even with a slight knee injury which was impressive. A total trooper!

Although the elements were against us at the top, we managed some gloriously powerful images. I'm always in awe of Alans ability to time his capturing of moving fabric so well. And even though we were expecting lots of sun, Alan took serious advantage of the clouds we were presented with and caught the atmospheric drama beautifully.

A favourite thing about shooting with Alan is his accommodating nature. Consistently checking in with his models wellbeing, always bringing snacks, and I thoroughly enjoy the little debrief we do at the end analysing the images over a beverage. He's aware of my desire to improve and therefore provides a safe little space after the shoot to check over everything we've done, not just to evaluate but more importantly to check my comfortability with the images we've taken. A true gent.

What an absolute joy it is to work with Alan!

From the beginning of our correspondence (which was many moons ago during the lockdowns) we quickly established a friendly and productive communicative dynamic, which led for a great gentle planning of our first shoot together when the world and our schedules allowed.

Alan is a wonderfully easy person to get along with and a real professional. All pre-coms were direct and concise, so after a few phonecalls and messages exchanged, we felt confident that we could approach the day happily ~ although with different personal styles, able to find that sweet spot where our aesthetics could collide and merge into a fantastic creative crossover!

The day itself was brilliant. Alan was a true gentleman always checking in with me to make sure we were both happy with the directions we we were taking. The day progressed at a natural gentle pace of relaxed shooting, back of the camera checks and assesses, whilst relishing in a cheery and productive atmosphere. I'm truly proud of what we accomplished!

Alan is so kind and considerate, he was happy to come and pick me up to take me to the location, brought us teas and snacks, consistently checked I was comfortable and content, and dropped me back home with us both already excitably scheming our next adventure!

I love what I've seen so far of the finished images and I'm excited to feast my eyes upon the rest. It's been a true pleasure, I look forward to joining forces again soon 😁

This was my fourth amazing shoot with Alan! This time we joined a group shoot at Dorchester Prison

I absolutely love getting creative with Alan. We had this beautiful building to explore and that’s exactly what we did. We started off at a stained glass window, the window was absolutely stunning! We got some really beautiful images and that was just the beginning. We made good use of the areas we visited, and from what I’ve seen on the back of the camera, the images are absolutely stunning! Alan is an amazing photographer, he bought along some lighting to help with the darker places. I can not wait to see the final edits.

Alan is such a caring person, always checking that I was warm enough and ok. We were very prepared so I had slippers and a big dressing gown, and Alan bought snacks to keep us going. It was another great adventure!

Wavepower aka Alan is such a great photographer. I recently shot with him for the first time and had a great time working with him. He is very knowledgeable with the dance industry and what will look good and what won't. He came to our shoot with ideas and poses for us to work with, this was incredibly helpful as we really could see what he was looking for out of our shoot. We only had 2 hours to shoot together but managed to get many different amazing photos. I would highly recommend booking!

I wanted to work with Wavepower ever since seeing his incredible work. I had always wanted to do implied nude dance shoots but needed to have a photographer that I trusted and had a great rapport. That relationship was instant from our first phone call and was super excited for the shoot.

The shoot was everything I'd hoped and more. We were on the same page and worked hard to get the results we wanted. As Alan was so professional and warm, I felt more than comfortable doing the implied nude section and couldn't believe how epic the images were. You know you've got a great shot when you say, "is that really me?" Such dynamic professional and artistic shots. I'm very eager to work with Alan again, raise the bar and create more work that I'm proud to show off!

Alan is an absolute joy to shoot with. Today was only our second shoot but it certainly didn’t feel that way.

We have had 2 shoots that consisted of 2 amazing adventures. This time we set off around areas that I grew up in, visiting ruins and rivers and canals, we had the best day!!

The first shots of the day were of me next to a beautiful lake with the most amazing bridge in the background. It was the most amazing start to which was an amazing day.

Alan is a fantastic photographer and yet again he has captured stunning images which I can’t wait to share with you all! We spent all day driving around and finding places to shoot. Alan is great company, the day flew by!

I had spotted the name, Wavepower, and soon became a big fan of his work. It wasn’t too long before I had contacted him, and after some fabulous comms being exchanged, we were arranging a shoot.

Alan had some time become free, so I was delighted when he offered me one of the dates to shoot. It was fast approaching and in no time, the day had arrived. And what a brilliant day it was!

Alan arrived on time and full of enthusiasm. We had a quick brew and discussed our plan for the day. We were blessed with a misty morning and took full advantage of it, heading straight out on location. Alan and I clicked instantly, and I soon found myself running on the spot with excitement whilst flicking through the boc at what we were capturing. Alan has an eye for detail and knows exactly how to get the best shots. Tweaking the fine details that make the shot spot on.

We had a mini adventure visiting various locations that I had mapped out local to me; we even made some new discoveries too! We had so much fun, Alan is a great guy and a real gentleman. Always making sure I was ok and clearing the paths for me to get down that were overgrown. He had my back throughout the whole shoot and was always at the ready to throw me my jacket if needed. Time literally disappeared which is always a sign of a good shoot. We totally smashed the entire day if I do say so myself.

Alan is such a talented photographer. I’m so pleased with what we created. He is a joy to be around. Sometimes you meet people and you just get along so well, and meeting Alan felt like meeting up with an old friend even though we’d never met before today. I’m so happy with what we created. I feel blessed to have not only worked together, but to already be planning shoot 2.

Alan is such a joy to work with! We had a fabulous day shoot together, shooting a range of fine art nudes, figure scapes, and aerials. He is an absolute gentleman and has a very keen eye for detail. The images in camera were fantastically composed, and he was immensely collaborative in his approach to creating images. Highly recommended, I’d work with him any time.

Alan is SUCH a wonderful and talented person to shoot with! Time flew by and I was sad to be heading back from our shoot location. We did a day trip to a beautiful secret coastal spot and I had the best time shooting amongst the gorgeous scenery. I had the pleasure of working with Alan at a recent workshop at Inspire Studios. We had 4 hours together and they flew by! Pre-comms were very good so I knew we would be straight to work to make use of our time. Alan showed great attention to detail and happily showed me the images from a safe distance, as the shoot progressed. I really enjoyed the fact teamwork was very strong in our collaboration and we bounced off each others ideas, creating some really stunning dance shots. Timing is everything with dance photography and I felt very confident in Alan's approach that we would get the money shot! A very skilled photographer and excellent company, I highly recommend Alan to any model and thank you again for a great shoot!

Having worked with Alan four times before I knew we were in for a great shoot!

Alan is an excellent planner and communicator, our shoot was organised easily and I knew the places Alan wanted to shoot and during our time we bounced and flowed off each other to create some amazing images. Alan has so much love and passion for beautifully lit images and has a fantastic photographic eye which I love getting in sync with during our shoot :)

I thoroughly look forward to shooting with Alan and I was lucky enough to have my second shoot with him last month (before the lockdowns)

We shot some completeeeeely different styles and sets to the first shoot which was so much fun and created a range of contrasting images! Alan is versatile with sharp attention to detail and I always feel comfortable and safe shooting with him knowing his artistic eye will only capture beautiful photos. I had my first shoot with Alan this week and i'm so happy with how it went. Alan is a wonderful photographer to work with, he has a creative eye, attention to detail, and is very considerate and thoughtful toward models and the images created.

I loved the book and photos he brought for inspiration, I felt like we could have gone on and on shooting forever, there was such a creative flow between us and I was absolutely shocked by how fast the time flew by! The shortest 4hour shoot i've ever had! :)

I worked with Alan twice in 2018. Both shoots was amazing and produced beautiful photos.

Alan is a talented photographer that is professional, easy to communicate with, makes you feel comfortable and kind hearted.

He also was very aware of how tiring shooting ballet and dynamic poses can be. He made sure I was always ready to do the poses and had plenty of breaks inbetween.

I felt extremely comfortable through out the shoot and this made ideas easy to convey. We was able to bounce off each other to create images we was both happy with.

Hopefully we can work together in the future, now I’m back to modelling.

I had my second shoot with Alan yesterday after having to cancel due to Covid during the Spring. We worked at The Natural Light Spaces Studio and had a wonderfully creative, successful, full out day!

We worked on various sets, props and lighting methods but mostly focused our attention to art nude and dance. Alan loves to work collaboratively with his models and this really shows as we spent the day bouncing off of each other to create the best of the best. He has a keen eye for shapes, lines and attention to detail and allowed me to try some things I have wanted in my portfolio for a while....and after 8 years he was the first photographer who finally caught me doing a beautiful grand jeté!

I am very excited to see the edits start to be uploaded and can't wait to work together again when I am next in the UK. Highly recommended.

Another awesome shoot with Alan!

As I was planning a short London tour, Alan got in touch with the idea of me travelling over to shoot with him and Paulinfocus - I couldn't say no to that!

I don't think I could ever get tired of shooting with Alan. He's such a brilliant person to be around and so easy to work with. His pre comms, as ever, were excellent, and he and Paul had a clear plan for how the day would play out. I felt super creative and at ease during the whole day, being able to pose freely as well as adapt to any direction from Alan. It was a very enjoyable shoot.

I hope we get the chance to shoot again in the future!

Second shoot now with Alan. Alan is meticulous to detail, which enables him to get flawless pictures every time, as a model this means it can be a challenge to stay in the same pose but it's a good challenge and one that defitinely pays off too! I really enjoy working with Alan and I think we bring out the best in each other, really happy with the most recent images we have created at Inspire Studios! :)

Alan remained socially distant at all times and regularly shows the back of camera. A truly fabulous gent, with great conversation too- I look forward to next time and can't wait to see the shots!:)
