This was my first (and definitely not last) time shooting at The Pit. I LOVED it. It's a gorgeous place to shoot and has amazing lighting. Definitely one of my favourite places to shoot already and I've definitely recommended the studio to a few people. I can't wait to come back to shoot again!

We booked the pit out for the first time last month and what a cracking place to shoot!

It has everything a photographer would want, wifi, power, grungy walls and a pub down stairs. Smart set up and welcoming staff. So impressed we got in there again for a shoot coming up soon and I have a feeling it will be many many more times before we are bored!

I'd never been to the Pit before today. I'd been missing out!

A couple of hours shooting with Zenith and Neena, then a bit of time as photographic assistant while the girls shot each other. No cameras were harmed in the course of the day.

Lovely space - though it helps to be short (like Zenith) or stoop (as I do) when makign yoru way around. But it's absolutely worth going, because there's so much space, and the light has a wonderful quality. Not to mention getting hte kind of shots that you normally have to climb over walls and creep under barbed wire to get - I think they call it 'urbex'...

I will, as Arnie said, be back!

Shot at The Pit today on an all day shoot and boy did we use the hours well!!

The Pit is such an awesome location! I love the cheat urbex! Never disappointed with the presentation, the warm welcome etc. Just beautiful all round!

Didn't even realise that I could leave a reference for a studio, but I had my second shoot there yesterday and it was amazing! I wanted to go there because so many incredible images emanate from there and I wanted to see for myself.

I did find that windowlight (for me) is harder to work with than it looks, but on this second shoot, I started to get more of a feel for it. Once you find the 'right' light, this place is second to none for light quality!

If you have never been there, you need to go there. I am pretty sure I will be returning several times.

Had the pleasure of shooting at the Pit yesterday and what a great experience it was. The floors have stunning natural light flooding into them and the walls and props are perfect for the type of shots I was trying to achieve. Would thoroughly recommend The Pit to anyone and will definitely be returning again.

I had the amazing pleasure of working at The Pit yesterday, what an outstanding studio! There were tons of props such as tables, chairs, jewellery, mirrors, and they had soft boxes and other lighting equipment. It is such a beautiful venue with shadowy corners, large windows with perfect natural light, and fabulous wooden flooring. I can easily and highly recommend this studio to an photographer or model wanting to find a wonderful and unusual location!

Great space, lots of lovely natural light, lots of open space and interesting walls.

Also plenty of space to bring your own lighting/backdrops/props etc., though access is a little tricky and up several flights of stairs

Danny was great set us up and then left us to it.

I have already booked several more days

I've been one of the lucky few that knew about the pit studio area for the last 10 years. I've used it on many many occasions, most recently this Saturday just gone. Over the years there have been various managers, right now, the team and the set up for the pit is beyond awesome, with a team that bend of backwards to make sure you get what you need and as always a fantastic location that inspires so much in a creative.

The only criticism I have is not aimed at the venue or those running it but those that use it and abuse it, I really hope that respect for the venue is reinforced by others, the more its destroyed by foolish grafitti and destroying the walls and props provided by the venue the less time we have to play with this incredible location. Look after it people!!!!

My first shoot at The Pit and I can honestly say it won't be my last! (actually booked to be there in September)

Absolutely fell in love with this place as soon as I stepped through the door! Such a beautiful space with endless possibilities... I shot here with Dave Ellis and we literally couldn't make use of every little nook and cranny there was so much!

We were welcomed in and shown around then basically left to get on and snap away which was brilliant )too many pushy or nosy studio owners about). The Pit offers such a variety with plenty of props of their own for you to throw into the mix that you seriously are spoilt for choice!

Hand on heart... I can't wait for September to come!!

Had a half day shoot here yesterday. This studio is amazing. Perfect for my style also wooden floors, gritty edgy walls, atmospheric just like a derelict building but safe of.course! Loved it. Recommended to all and would definitely shoot there again :-)

My Third shoot at The Pit, this is starting to become somewhat of an addiction. I love the environment, I love the natural light. However this time it was the sheer amount of space I really enjoyed.

We booked the Pit as a group of friends to do a joint shoot, 3 Photographers and 3 models. The space itself is easily big enough for 6 people to rattle around in.

On top of that I was working with a giant 3 meter spanning pair of wings, The Pit is probably one of few places where I felt I had enough room to deal with them.

The rooms are large with superb natural light! So many opportunities for different styles, themes and levels

I'll definitely be back again! :)

This was a three photographer three model group day that I'd organised with The Pit; the pre-shoot comms were excellent, the hire rates for the day were more than reasonable, and the staff left us undisturbed for the whole shoot (but were on hand downstairs if needed!)

The natural light in the rooms is superb, the rooms are full of character in their simplicity, and the range of shoots that can be accommodated is vast. We shot in there for eight hours and the time flew by.

It's very much a 'safe derelict' location, wooden floorboards, panelled and brick walls, but in a secure and private environment. A great shooting space which I look forward to working in again.

I had a shoot at The Pit yesterday with 2 other photographers and 3 models and it was a huge success.

The rooms are huge with some fantastic natural light thanks to some fairly big windows.

You really can let your imagination run wild at this place, there is so much room to use.

Definitely recommend shooting here and I can't wait to return :)
