Hi, my name is Simon and I live in Belper, Derbyshire.

I've been into photography since about 2008, but only got into shooting models around 2012.  I'm not interested in nudity, or even lingerie/underwear type shots - I am interested in beauty /fashion shoots and in sexiness that comes from within the model.  My main interest is therefore in headshots, head-and-shoulder shots, fashion shots.

I have been very fortunate to have worked with some very beautiful models and one great makeup artist so far.  I feel that my work has recently taken a few turns for the better and I am constantly striving to get better.

I studied photography and got distinctions for my work at Levels 1, 2 and 3 at City and Guilds.

I love doing location shoots and studio shoots equally.  I don't currently possess my own studio, but I do have my own studio gear (strobe lights, continuous light, numerous Speedlites, various modifiers, backdrops and backdrop stand) which I am very happy to bring with my to a shoot in my Land Rover.

I have a great belief in getting things right in the camera and so prefer longer shoots where the right amount of time can be taken to get the lighting and the shot just right.  I would prefer to work with models who share this preference.

I have been told that I make my models feel very relaxed and I feel that, although a little shy at first, I quickly develop a good rapport and understand some subtle ways to get the most out of my model.
