Pre communications are stop on with quick replays!

Unfortunately we didn't get in until 10am as none would answer the Pit & Pendulum door, it was inconvenient for all my models and photographers waiting outside as we had arranged to start at 9:30am (good job the weather wasn't too bad)

Either way everything after this was superb, Danny was a lovely guy, came up shortly after setting up and introduced himself to everyone, and was happy to wait for the payment as i had to gather everyones money :), he spoke to me about advertising everyones work and gathering peoples details which was great!

The studio is full of props and different chairs to play around with which kept the shoot interesting, the space is huge, i had 4/5 photographers shooting at a time, 8 models and 1 MUA, we all fit in just fine!

Will definitely be returning in the near future! THANKYOU!

Huge venue with masses of space. Primarily 4 big rooms (all of which you get in your booking) with natural wood floors and big windows on one long side. It is unmaintained for some years and the wall-paper is peeling and the beams exposed in the ceilings. For a grunge setting it is near perfect. I definitely want to use this venue again.

Parking is a short walk away and about £12 a day (ouch) and the loading facilities are limited (it is on a tram route and trams can't drive round you if you park on their rails!) but with a bit of jiggling it can all be done.

Staff were very friendly and keen to be helpful. It would have been nice to get in at the appointed time though.

Had a great shoot at the Pit & Pendulum studio today.

Met and greeted by the owner as i waited for the arrival of the photographer and other model megan he was very welcoming and a nice guy.

What a place to work in this is, tones of space for high key, then a whole building of great features. What ever your requirements, these guys can help.

Great experience and fun day

cheers guys

From high ceilings to trapped doors, quirky props and antique furniture, this place is perfect!

The only downside of shooting at the Pit for me is that it is in Nottingham and not local to me in Boston. It is a fabulous venue to shoot in with the most amazing natural light that tracks from left to right as the day progresses.

The guys and girls I have dealt with have been very friendly and helpful and OK so its a bit dusty but the solution is a £1 disposable boiler suite from Poundland that goes over your clothes and then in the bin at the end of the shoot. This way you are free to get on the ground for low angle shots.

I have shot there twice and have another afternoon at the end of the month which I'm looking forward to.

This place is crazy! I shot here with the jaw-dropping Freckles and it's an incredible location. Parking is available just around the corner at Lace Market (about £10 for the half day) and a non-descript door next to the bar hides a treasure trove of spaces.

I lost count of the number of rooms, you've got access to oodles of natural light, harsh, or soft, through large windows or small, the opportunities for settings are endless while still having a power supply for strobes if you need them.

The girls even went out and bought a mirror for my model, talk about service! I'd definitely recommend to anyone and will def be shooting there again!

Thanks guys!

Yes, to my great relief, the Pit and the Pendulum showed up! For my first shoot there last sunday. And it provided a fabulous location. Indeed it is more like a location than a studio, and all the better for that! Vast space (and ceiling height) and oodles of natural light. And multiple opportunities for getting pleasantly (sometimes creatively) lost in the labyrinthine interior. Think of it as urbex without the dobermans chasing you, of post-industrial semi-apocalyptic urban non-chic, and you're on the right lines. Models might want to bring their own mirror.

Kelly was very helpful, welcoming me and providing a guided tour. And Halo is without doubt the nicest most helpful person I have never met, giving me great advice (via PP messaging) before the shoot. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Pit as a magnificent and inspirational place to do great work, and I shall be back!

Recently shot at the P&P for the first time. It's a very unique venue offering a huge amount of options and potential for natural light or strobe shooting.

It's genuinely atmospheric and I can only see this venue going from strength to strength as they add to it. The icing on the cake is the helpfulness of both Danny and Halo, they couldn't have made us more welcome or been more accomodating. Thanks for a wonderful day guys. Highly recommended.

This is an AMAZING venue! The rooms have so much to offer and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

I shot using off-camera flashes, but also took advantage of the amazing light that comes through the large windows. There's also a variety of props available, which are really useful and fit the style of the rooms. I look forward to seeing what other props Halo and Dan pick up!

I can't express how much you need to shoot here, it really is amazing and I'd love to go back!!!

2nd time using this place and it gets better, more work has been done, power to different levels. Dan and Halo have been adding some cool props, which adds even more the ambiance. This is an amazing place to shoot in, beautiful large window light as well as a Gothic feel if you require that look . Dan and Halo are great to deal with and really nice people too.

Recommend 100%!!

I have used this studio 3 times now to video content for my website. Consider Danny as a personal friend and must commend him on giving all proceeds to various charities.

The natural lighting means you can leave you banks at home. It floods into the place, better in the afternoon of you are thinking of filming towards the windows, less glare as the sun has gone around by then.

It is ideal for fetish filming, we have also in the past used the actual pub before they open.

What an amazing day I've just had at the Pit and Pendulum! I organised a group-shoot here with some fellow photographer friends and some models for a day's shooting in this amazing place and we all loved it.

It was a real treat to see the lovely Halo who took time to show me round a few days before and on the day, Danny made us all very welcome.

The entire venue is a photographer's playground with more than four beautifully sunlit rooms and a fire escape. The staff also kindly let me use the bar in the pub below for an impromptu shoot before it opened to the public. Can't recommend this place enough and need to go back there again soon!

Awesome venue, so open, so many textures to work with, I found my mind running wild with ideas. I can see me shooting at the Pit over and over again. Definitely recommended as a shooting venue.

I organised a studio day here as when I saw photos of it I just could not resist. It is just so different and unusual compared to other studios. I so not like your 'run of the mill' type studios and this was anything but that :) Beautiful old building with plenty of natural light (just the way I like it), lots of space and great props too :) I had my best studio day ever there and have already booked another day. Brilliant value for me and just so unusual. Highly recommended :)
