Had a brilliant shoot at the Pit , what a great location . We used the main bar area to start with was full of great alcoves and a nice staircase , then we moved upstairs to the awesome big rooms with brick walls and wooden floors with great natural light from tall windows . The owner was fab , friendly and welcoming , I couldn't recommend this place enough , thanks for an excellent day , see you again soon ..

I had the pleasure of shooting at the Pit a few weeks ago on a group shoot.The place is full of fantastic areas, you could shoot all day there and get lots of different images .I would highly recommended it :) Would love to go there again :)

Friday was my 3rd shoot at the Pit & Pendulum. I love it there! There's so many rooms and beautiful natural light. I always recommend this place to anyone as so many different styles work in so many different ways! You get such good value for money and I've never been disappointed. It won't be too long before I'm back again :)

Great venue for a shoot ! As a photographer looking for a 'distressed' backdrop, but not wanting to shoot illegally in an abandoned building, this place is perfect. Really easy to book, and friendly helpful staff. I would really recommend shooting here.

Pit and Pendulum is certainly a great place to shoot. Staff very helpful and the place has a multitude of places to create so great images. I will looking forward to getting another opportunity to work there

I have used to Pit and Pendulum a couple of times now for my bookings and have been pleased both times.

Pre-communication from the staff was great and they were very friendly and helpful upon my visit.

They have an excellent venue to shoot in, boasting plenty of natural light and originally looking, real-wood flooring.

The upstairs itself is left rather plain and deserted looking with the odd bit of dusty furniture, torn wall-paper - I love it! Ideal 'abandoned' looking location.

I could shoot in this place again and again and would highly recommend.

What a fantastic location. We worked all day with Rosa Della who as usual did a great job. The shoot resulted in some great pictures and we will certainly go back again. Highly recommended.

Love this place! After searching unsuccessfully for abandoned locations this popped up! It's totally safe. Accessible and legal!

The rooms are sick, wall paper hanging off, faded paint, exposed brick, old floor boards, steel beams, natural window light- everything you could ask for outside of a boring white studio.

Will be booking in again for sure, thanks very much

Had a photo shoot at Pit the other week

The team are lovely and the building itself is beautiful in it's own way, got a great abandoned look with wallpaper peeling off the walls, plain floor boards, big windows that let a lot of natural light in, there are a few different rooms very spacious. I enjoyed my shoot there and would definitely go again.

I had never heard of this location until a model suggested it, but it is a great location for shooting with a few unique areas. The team there are friendly are eager to help, but also leave you to it and don't get in the way. I would shoot here again given the chance - and I would recommend to anyone else who hasn't already been.

Shot at the Pit and Pendulum for the first time on Sunday and what can I say ! Friendly team - thanks Danny, amazing atmosphere, superb natural light and great urban decay. If you are looking for something a little different, book the "Pit".

The Pit and Pendulum is a hidden gem! When all around are basic studios that cost a lot for the financially challenged, P&P is a fantastic space for next to nothing foir creative people that need a reliable space. Two floors of elegant decay and historical atmosphere which just begs to be photographed for almost any genre. I can't wait to get back here again!

I booked The Pit and The Pendulum to host a workshop there and was really pleased with how it went.

The location is amazing for photography, with beautiful coloured wallpaper peeling from the walls and lovely brickwork, tall ceilings and big Victorian windows letting in lots of natural light. There are lovely metal beams to pose models against and real wooden floorings, as well as some lovely old furniture in there.

Power is available on the shooting floors , and although there was no heating, it was surprisingly warm, but you can bring your own portable electric heating if you wish.

Danny was extremely helpful with his pre-shoot communications beforehand, and really helpful on the day, assisiting us on carrying items to the upper floor. The pub serves a lovely variety of food from lunchtime onwards, and provided a great value and tasty buffet for the workshop.

The location is only a short walk from the Lace Market and Stoney Street car parks, or you can get the park and ride tram. Also not far from the train station.

Thanks so much for the use of the venue, highly recommended.

The pit is an unusual location showcasing decay and a more gritty atmosphere than a studio. Located in central Nottingham makes this easy to travel to =) Enjoyed working here and will happily do so again =)

Fantastic studio day at the this extraordinary studio.

It offered three fantastically unique rooms all spilling with countless places to shoot within.

Definitely book this studio if you're after something a bit different and gritty, Highly recommended,
