I had my first visit to MAP studio today for my last studio day of 2017 and what an end it was!!

Firstly, the studio is great!!! It offers so much variety!! So much space!!

I loved how many options we're available!! I loved the selection of props!! I loved the derelict room!!

The studio was lovely and warm! There was such a huge selection of shoes, wigs, hats etc which were great to use!! Could not ask for more!

Alex is great! His pre comms are quick, to the point and I never waited for a response! He works hard to sell slots! He obviously has worked very hard on getting the studio to where it is! He was super lovely and welcoming!! He collected me from the station and dropped me off! He went out of his way to take me to get something to eat during my lunch break!! All the coffee I could take! Always on hand to help, even when we were in need of a male model!! He was super fun and The studio was great! I am already looking forward to going back!

You know, time is time but when you know when time kinda doesn't matter, on all accounts, you get the best results. We did that. Professional & proper.

Alex is great. The studio is fabulous and was everything i was looking for. I will defo be back in 2018.

I shot at the studios today with Joceline.

Really interesting place (although sadly not too local for me) with some fascinating derelict areas. Just the sets that suited my shoot today and I only managed to touch the surface of images that could be planned for here.

Alex was very welcoming and gave me an idea of the plans for the future that he has for various rooms in the building - sounds interesting!

I will back no doubt in the future, especially as I see it is local for Ivory Flame as well!

I do recommend the studio for some things a little bit different as backdrops.

I recently rectified the fact I hadn't yet shot at the very local-to-me MAP Studios by booking in a model day that happily sold out super fast! Alex was brilliant to arrange things with, updating me on bookings, with zero hassle.

I was made really welcome and was very impressed with the new studio, sets, and derelict rooms in particular, which had absolutely beautiful morning light flooding through!! The barn set is very authentic and rustic with great props. There's some fab creative nooks - coloured walls and old wooden staircase (I look forward to exploring even more next time!) as well as everything going on in the studio.

The whole place is kept cosy warm and breaks in between sessions were so relaxed. Each photographer that attended was a pleasure to work with.

A wonderful first shoot there, I can certainly recommend it to all, and hope to be back very soon! :-D

Another great shoot down at Map Studio, this time with Ivory Flame.

Alex is a great host and has so far recommended a great array of models for me to shoot with along with providing an amazing studio with everything you need to get the most from your subject matter.

Lost track of the number of visits there now, and my expectations are always exceeded.

Had my first shoot at Map today and I wasn't disappointed. Alex was a great host, the studio has so many areas to shoot and plenty of props. Had such a good time that I returnwd for a second shoot on the same day.

I had a great night at Map Studios this week. I was there with a group shoot and we had a fantastic time exploring and using the various setups. I would look forward to working there again in the near future and recommend them to anyone who hasn't had the chance to try them out yet.

OMG this studio is amazing...one of the biggest studios I have worked in with about 5 (if not more) rooms...there is the main studio with black backdrop and bed which is lovely and warm, a changing room which is also lovely and warm, a toilet, other rooms with different setups (derelict with different setups) and also a room with table for tea and coffee. Alex the studio owner makes you feel so welcome...he is down to earth, jokey and brilliant with abit of fun banter...

I had never been to Map Studios before as it's not local to me but I have to say it was worth the drive. It looked quite small from outside but inside was really spacious and it was full of beautiful and interesting sets with lots to work with. It had a private dressing room which was lovely and warm and even though I brought my own outfits and props I could see it had a lot of its own. I felt very welcome there and well looked after by the lovely owner Alex. I hope to work there again soon.

Alex is a great guy who provides a wonderful makeup/changing room for models that is well heated and furnished. So many possibilities at his studio. Will definitely be coming back!

Map studios.... up there with my very best places to visit and work! I've trekked up from Devon on several occasions to Map for many reasons and intend to go back many more. The studio itself is amazing, it's new and when we came last time it was not in the best of conditions but hard work and determination has made it what it is and i can see why its so popular. Alex the owner is spot on. Such a good guy, literally goes above and beyond to help you in any way and make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. This weekend myself , Chris Conway and Michael White all ran events at the studio from Friday through to Monday and he was on hand at all times not only this but himself and his lovely wife Becky accommadated us for the weekend and were just amazing. I now call them my friends and i cannot wait to return for more shananigams in March..... I think i need a season ticket Alex ;-)

Thanks to the both of you for your awesomeness cannot fault the weekend :-)

Map Studios 2 does not need any recommendations as Alex and the studio space is of the hook. It speaks for its self. As soon as you arrive through the door you know how good it is. Anything you require for making absolute don images he's got. Anything you want doing he'll do, within reason, :)

However, If you want him to make you cup of tea I wouldn't bother. 1. He'll never do it and 2. If you do get him to do it, Its bloody dreadful, haha!

Alex is a very helpful studio owner, and I had a tour of his new studio which is made for every type of photographer.

The possibilities are endless.

I would recommend all to at least visit this great studio :)

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

Attended one of Chris Conway's group shoots held at Map Studios with Aimie Boulton on Sunday. Aimie was fabulous to work with, had some stunning outfits and did some awesome posing. It was my first visit to Map Studios but it won't be my last and it was my first experience of one of Chris's events too - will definitely be looking out for more! Lovely warm friendly people, many thanks guys - Jann :)X
