References for Map Studios

Bad Dolly

Last week I was lucky enough to spend two days at the amazing new premises that MAP have acquired, and what a studio it is! I spent the first day filming video content for my websites, MAP provides a huge variety of authentic well presented sets, the perfect shooting space in each. I was able to film twice as much content than I would at other studios because MAP is so well laid out, spacious and practical.

The new studio has some amazing shooting opportunities including some derelict rooms perfect for urbex, and my personal favourite a vintage barn!

Alex is really well known for his studio days, offering a huge range of the UKs best freelance models who all jump at the chance to work at MAP, and for good reason! I cannot recommend the new studios enough and Alex is a legend! x

Had my first shoot at the New studios and was more than impressed. Alex could not be more helpful

I used both of the New room's Which were excellent and supplied with a very large collection of sets and props in both rooms

I would highly recommend map studios and will be using them again.

Well I havent left a reference for map in a while and since Alex has opened his new studio I thought I should add a refresh.

In all honesty I have lost count at how many times I have shot at at Map studios! I think with the new space my count is already at 5 maybe more?

The new space, well mymymymymy what an awesome place and it is vast! Literally soo big. Alex has really set himself a project with this one. It is great to come back time and time again and something has changed, been adapted. The last time I checked in the dungeon had just been finshed and although I dont shoot much in that style, I must admit, I did do a few shots in there.

This new space is perfect for workshops and group shoots too. The main room is big enough to have 4 or even 5 different sets up at once. This creates a great change over if sharing one or 2 models as the next photographers are able to create their own set whilst waiting.

As always Alex is awesome, Super accommodating and an all round top gent with great knowledge of studio lighting and how to create sets to suit any requirement.

Definatly recommneded to anyone!! Models and photographers alike :)

Had a group shoot at the studio yesterday, and it was amazing plenty of room for 7 models and 2 togs. Alex was amazingly helpful with lights and moving despite having an injured arm.

Even when there was a power cut Alex recommended the lighter parts of studio & dealt with the issue quickly so we had power back.

It's my second shoot here and I LOVE this studio & I adore Alex aswell he makes you feel so comfy and shares the passion for amazing content.

LOM Glamour

Had my first visit to the superb Map Studios in Loughborough today. Alex made myself and my two models feel very at home. The vast studio has a superb selection of sets and props with some exciting plans for many more set rooms currently in construction.

Alex has put a lot of thought into the new studio which we were fortunate to use today. It is extremely well kitted out with Bowens flash heads together with a wide array of lighting modifiers. I will certainly visit again and look forward to the changes ahead.

I had a great photoshoot at Map Studio (original edition) and Map Studio (new premises) which is an amazing location with so many places to shoot in already and heaps of potential- I cannot wait to come back in December and see what the awesome Alex has done! Highly recommended :D

I messaged Map Studios to ask about hosting a studio day, and from the start, Alex was super helpful and easy to get on with. The studio is amazing - so much space and so much variety, with a huge collection of different lighting too. There's a changing room, a kitchen area - everything you could want.

It's easy to see why people love Map and I hope to shoot there again soon. Thank you Alex, you're a star xxx

I had a group shoot today today at Map studios and it is one of the best studios I have worked in. The studio owner is super friendly and I was impressed by the amount of sets and props available to use. I will certainly be back to the studio and will book it at some point in the future. If you haven't yet been I highly recommend it!

I shot with Silk today at Map Studios on her studio day. This was my first visit & it will not be my last.

The studio has plenty of props & lighting to suit all types of genre's.

Alex is a good host & help get me started with the lighting.

He also showed around the new studio which will be open in September. This studio will be alot bigger with more sets to use.

I plan to do more shoots at this studio in the future.

Well what is there to say... I'm sure it has all been said before but Alex is an absolute legend! He replied to my casting call to do some studio days and luckily for me we arranged a date.

Pre-communications were excellent and the studio is also really easy to find. Totally worth the drive! ;)

Alex met me outside early so I had time to have a look round an apply make up, he is super friendly and really easy to get on with. He was also a great host for the entire day and put up with my constant babbling and provided jafa cakes!!

The studio is well equipped with many different props and lights for a wide variety of genres. It is also has plenty of space and different areas and backdrops to use. Looking forward to the new studio opening up which is going to be even bigger with more rooms and different areas to use, can't wait!

Thank you so much for hosting a studio day for me, I am eternally grateful. Highly recommended to all models, photographers, designers, make up artists and all creative folk!

Hopefully I will get the chance to work there again soon.

Had another Sold Out day at Maps :D. Maps is starting to feel like home , I love going there I just feel comfortable and happy in the environment.

As ever Alex is brilliant, sold out my day and was on hand when ever I needed him .

Studio is brilliant always bringing change . Cant wait to shoot in the new studio when I return for my sold out weekend in November . Thanks Jess x

I shot with Moss Vixen yesterday in MAP Studios. It was my first time there but won't be my last.

Due to unavoidable delays we arrived over an hour later than was originally booked. Not only did Alex alter the studio time to suit us but he also said we could stay on later if we wished.

The studio contained more props than we could handle in the four hours.

At the end of the shoot Alex showed us the progress he is making on his new studio nearby, which is massive, and contains lots of different areas inckuding a wet room and an attic dungeon. It will be open in about a month and I can't wait to book it.

Fantastic studio to work at! Ive had a few studio days at Map now and I'm always happy to know I'm going there for my shoot.

Alex's pre communication is always excellent, and the days are always well organised! Im looking forward to going to the new studio early in the new year.

Where do I start!? I will start by saying Thank you Alex!! You are a star!!

I have worked at Map studios a few times now and I recently had a weeks worth of studio days. All of which Alex helped arrange, which was fab for me as I am not from the area.

I always love working in this studio, the space is great and the different sets that are available are wonderful.

I cannot thank Alex enough, I look forward to working with in this fab space and with Alex many more times :)

Had my first shoot today at Map Studio which is only 10 minutes away from me it was very relaxed and professional and Alex was a true gent and very helpful, friendly and makes a great cup of tea. I had a great shoot with the lovely model Bad Dolly who I worked with many times before and we are already arranging another days shoot with Alex. Top studio great owner thanks again Alex see you again soon mate Ian.

First time at Map Studios and what can I say . I LOVED it .

I was hosting at duo day here with Lottii Rose.

Alex made me feel like the studio was my own home . It is such a comfortable and friendly environment. Alex himself is amazing , he always made sure that we were ok throughout the day and models safety clearly comes first. Alex is just such a fun guy who you can have a great laugh with but trust ti keep you safe during your time at the studio.

The studio itself has verious sets and a variety of props and clothing . All the lighing you could imagine . Ive also had the pleasure of seeing the new studio and i cant wait if its anything like this .

The studio rocks and Alex rocks. One of my fav studios i have ever been to .

What can I say? Alex you’re a fu**ing legend dude. Even when you take the p*ss out of me I can’t help but like you more.

The studio is also great! Lots and lots of stuff to go through so much so it would take you weeks to get through it all

Attended MAP tioday for the first time, on a Studio day organised to host Amie Boulton ( model) and Chris Conway ( photographer) . It's a large, well equipped studio with great facilities, managed by the super-friendly owner, Alex . Had an excellent time. Thanks Alex :)
