I worked with James for the first time yesterday, after he applied to my recent casting call. His pre communications were great and we soon decided on a plan. He arrived on time, well prepared and I found him easy to get on with. We got some great shots and the time flew by! Would be happy to work with him again :)

Had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with James today and I enjoyed every moment of it. James is not only polite and friendly he is amazing at the work he does! He knows what he wants and how to get it but also gives you the freedom to pose yourself and what ever pose you decide to do this amazing guy will get the best shot from it. Could not recommend James more and look forward to our second meeting (foods on me this time) .

Had a brilliant time shooting with James last month! His pre-shoot communications were excellent, he kept me well informed of what he wanted to shoot and do on the day and had lined up a variety of lovely locations for us to shoot at!

James showed his skill in both studio and outdoor locations, creating beautiful images with very different kinds of lighting and settings! He works very efficiently but constantly adapts and is on the look our for great shooting spots and is full of creative ideas! He also is very attentive and aware of a models needs and comfort and made sure I was well fed and watered throughout the shoot!

He is a very friendly and easy going individual who I felt totally comfortable shooting with and had an excellent time shooting with! We got some really lovely images and I sincerely look forward to future shoots together! :)

amazing shoot with this outstanding photographer he was warm and welcoming made me feel at ease for my first lingerie/implied im glad to have worked with him as my first, he was very professional and very interested to work with he had lots of suprising ideas and all in all it was a fantastic shoot id hopefully be working with him again in the future :) would i recommend? yes i would

James booked the studio today for a half day shoot with Tann Marie. Exceptionally well prepared, including a quick visit the day before to check out the studio space. James covered a wide range of setups with clear requirements for lighting and backdrops.

He was an absolute pleasure to have in the studio and I look forward to welcoming him again in the future.

I had the pleasure of a half day shoot with James today, James arrived on time prepared with goodies! Lots of lovely snacks for us to munch on throughout the day.

James was friendly, professional and had some truly great and creative concepts for our shoot. He came armed with a plan of action for the day and what sets we would venture to get!

The pre-shoot communications were spot on, James knew what he wanted to achieve and I believe we did! We sat down at the end of the shoot and went through all of the images and there were so many fantastic ones to choose from!

I really do hope to organise another shoot with James later on in the year!

Elesha Eden

I had a really fab shoot with James today at shutterworks in Southampton.

he travelled down to me from Somerset and kindly picked me up on route and dropped me home, what a gent:)

James was very enthusiastic and we managed to get through various sets we has discussed for weeks

everything went smoothly and was totally stress free

a nice relaxed atmosphere

he knows what he wants to achieve and gives direction when needed, but also gives the freedom of letting me do my own thing

a nice down to earth photographer, polite , considerate and a real gent

I was shown the images after the shoot and I was impressed with many of the shots..and well what can I say he even bought me cake and everyone that knows me knows this is a winner ..so happy :)

Shutterworks Studio

Today we had James travel all the way from Somerset to sunny Southampton to shoot Elesha Eden in our studio. He asked plenty of questions beforehand which allowed us to fully prepare him (and ourselves) for his visit, including sourcing a rather lovely old chair (grandparents are quite handy prop sources!). We would welcome James back any time.

I had an awesome shoot with James :) We had this shoot booked in months in advance so it was great to finally meet him. He arrived at my flat right on time and we got straight into shooting. We had already talked before hand by messaging about the sort of shots we were going to do and James came well prepared.

Since it was a lovely day we even got to do some cool shots outside in the streets and at a beautiful river :) James was very creative and tried lots of different angles to get very interesting shots. He was such a joy to model for. I do hope to work with him again soon. 100% recommended by me :)

Just Wow. Had an amazing shoot with James today. I felt happy and relaxed all day and the shots James captured were nothing short of outstanding! His ideas were creative and original, and though the light was a bit awkward, James still caught the most amazing images. Cant recommend him highly enough. James is hugely talented and I cant wait to work together in the future.

I had such an amazing shoot with James and model Ali Brooks at Hengrove Studio in Bristol. Communication before the shoot was very good and James had lots of ideas about the images he was looking to produce. James kindly picked me and Ali up from the station and was friendly and fun to work with. He even brought cake to the shoot for us! :)

We worked through several sets of images and there were some awesome ones on the back of the camera. I'm excited about seeing them!

I would highly recommend working with James and I hope that we get the chance to work together again.

Had my second shoot with James yesterday.. This time it was with Miss Pixie.. This was just as good as the first time we worked together and again we had cake.. Carrot cake my favourite :-) James is great to work with and he gives you a list of all is ideas before hand so you know exactly what you need to bring. Can't wait to see the images and possibly work together again .. :) Thank you again for the lift home and a fun day..

What can I say other than James is a guy that everybody should shoot with. He took SO many great pictures of me, I started to get a little 'big headed' but it was really just James and his epic skills. He came with nibbles and a refreshing sense of fun. It was one of those days where you just really love what you do. Thank you so much James, can't wait to shoot again.

James showed up bang on time with loads jelly beans and a pot of liquid latex so I knew it was going to be a good shoot. He had loads of ideas, we moved fluidly through the sets, I had a great time and really befitted from his direction. I would have recommended James on the shoot alone but based now on the images he produced too everyone should jump at a chance to work with him. Thank you James!

After a couple of months of planning we finally did a shoot yesterday, and it was fantastic. James can not be faulted in anyway, from the extremely clear direction of shoot and aims for each set of photo to overal charm and personality. James is very easy to chat to and work out ideas with. When direction is needed he prompts but still allows for free movement of poses. His creativity and ideas for sets are endless and inspiring, Overall an absolute pleasure to work with and I can not recommend enough for any model.

Also he was awesome! He came prepared and was messaging me before hand about what he wanted on our shoot together! I couldn't fault him at all!

We also got some very good photo's together and I had such a laugh with him.. would I recommend James.. HELL YES! x

Had my second shoot with James when he came to my studio day at Studio CC. Pre-shoot comms had been spot on - James is very clear when communicating his ideas which makes preparation really straightforward.

We shot three very different sets, and the images in camera were great - really looking forward to seeing the finished results!

Working with James is great, he's always well prepared and respectful, welcoming input and ensuring his model is at at ease, so am happy to recommend.

Had my second shoot with James at my home & again it was great.

James came extremely well prepared with loads of ideas as well as props. He knew exactly what he wanted to create. James is a lovely guy who I felt totally comfortable with. He ensures that your comfortable throughout & welcomes your input.

Had a lovely shoot with James today, we really lucked out with the weather - it may have been the first dry day in Somerset this year!

We met for lunch (my treat next time :) ) before heading off to our first location, however the dry weather had brought lots of other people out too so we headed off to the woods, where I got to show off my well spent youth, climbing trees, clambering on logs and generally having fun! The back of the camera images looked great - was really surprised to discover later that it was his first outdoor shoot! We had a break for a needed cup of tea at precisely the time the heaven's opened, before heading off for a final set in the growing dark - with magical results...

I enjoyed shooting with James, I'd appreciated the detailed pre-shoot comms, and found him to be organised, creative, intelligent, hardworking and fun, infact just the photographer to go pootling around the woods with! Definitely recommend, and looking forward to next time in a studio.

James attended Eyebox for the first time, a studio day with Jo Paul.

What impresses me the most with James is his ability to fit in so many different concepts in a relatively small window of time. He fully utilised the studio space and covered hi key low key ambient beauty and conceptual styles in just 2 hours!

Amazing work rate and on reviewing back of camera together his work demonstrated his eye for detail and creativity. It is really rewarding for me as a studio owner to see a photographer really using all the studio has to offer.

He has already booked again and he is certainly welcome.
