References for Ghost Light Photography

I worked with James again- where he kindly booked me for a full day booking! Only this time I dragged James up various Welsh hills (I only subjected him to a little torture in my self defence! :P ) to walk to a stunning ruin I knew of hidden in the Welsh countryside. James was a very good sport- and very trusting! :P

We were really lucky with the weather and took some beuatiful shots using the different archs, windows and lanscape surrounding the ruin. James is a total pleasure towork with, really professional but likewise very laidback. We have worked together many times now and I always love James' cmpany and the results from the shoot.

We spent the second half of the shoot working in my home and just had a lovely day! I would highly recommend James to any model to work with- he is very trustworthy and an all round great guy to work with. Until the next time! Helen x

Artemis Fauna

I had another brilliant shoot with James a few days ago at my new place!

He contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I fancied duo-ing up with Lulu Lockhart, I said yes straight away as I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting her yet!

We all had a brilliant shoot. Tonnes of great images were created, lots of fun was had, lots of chatting and eating of pringles took place too! Not forgetting our traditional carrot cake! Yum!

Thank you, James- can't wait to see the images and shoot again one day :)

Lulu Lockhart

Had a fantastic time shooting with James once again, this time on a duo shoot with Artemis! As per usual James's communications before the shoot were excellent, he clearly detailed everything he was interested in shooting and made sure we were all set for the shoot!

James arrived bang on time and was his usual friendly self! James is as good at shooting duo's as he is with individual models! He moves effortlessly between sets and is always full of great and creative ideas :)

James also makes sure to take care of models, bringing plenty of food and drink and ensure enough breaks are given, during which we always have a great chatter :)

All in all, had another wonderful time shooting with James and recommend him highly :)

Having done a few shoots with James now I always look forward to working with him, he's so laid back and fun to be around and we always produce some wonderful images.

This time round was no different, he took me to the most beautiful location and the images we got were stunning!!

A super enjoyable afternoon sent and looking forward to working with him again in the future, without a doubt recommended by me :D

I met James on Monday when he attended a half day One to One "Lighting the Nude" workshop at my studio. The beautiful, very experienced and irrepressible Natural Happy Girl was our model.

James is a skilled photographer wanting to hone his studio skills, particularly in the area of low key lighting. We had a lot of fun shooting everything from bodyscapes to water with a range of lights and modifiers.

James was an enthusiastic participant, quickly grasping the concepts we discussed. He is methodical and very focussed on getting things right. I have no doubt he will create many outstanding images in the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and I felt that I learned from him as well.

Natural Happy Woman

Sometimes someone is just so kind and thoughtful that it moves you to tears.... YUP, James bought me Gluten-free jaffacakes so this cookie monster got to have a slice of the action for once, wooo!!

After that, oh, and rescuing me from taking my furniture home on the train, he could really do no wrong..

And of course James was his usual lovely, polite, professional, creative self- just so great to work with.

It's a massive thumbs up from me- THANKYOU!!

Shooting with this awesome photographer is always a pleasure - he’s got a fantastic personality which is set off by his stunning way with the camera, directing myself and Bad Dolly whilst using the scenes in the most effective way!

Back of camera shots look amazing, this wonderful individual has a showstopping way of capturing the light in the most beautiful of ways and is one of the most gentle & professional photographers on the circuit :)

Again, I cannot recommend this epic dude enough to everyone - a fave to work with :)

Bad Dolly

My second shoot with the fabulously creative James, this time joined by the awesome Jezebelle for some erotic photo fun! James is a true professional, his pre comms and model etiquette is second to none, he's bursting with ideas and always happy to get himself in an uncomfortable position to get the models best angles. His high end and varied port speak for itself so if you have not shot with James, go! go now!

Yay to being his 100th reference!! :P

James turned up on time for my studio day yesterday, he booked 4 hours with me and we didn't stop being creative from start to finish! He was kind enough to give me a 10 minute break and bought along snacks and water for us both! James worked very well with the lighting and the resources at the studio, it was his first time there!

He really impressed me with ideas and he knows what image he wants to achieve and can do a lot with lighting.

We got along well and I'm sure we'll be working together again in the future! :)

James and I have shot together a couple of times now but this shoot was different! I challenged James to a Maternity shoot and James had some great ideas which I think we executed well!

We got through a range of styles and outfit changes etc and I was really happy with what I saw on the back of the camera.

James was great company as ever, bringing food goodies and props with him (woo!) and is very easy to get along with. I would highly recommend working with James and I look forward to seeing the edited images :)

I worked with James during a recent trip to Chippenham. We chatted a bit in pre-comms about ideas but also bounced around some suggestions on the day. James put me at ease right away and we worked through several sets, with plenty of time for breaks and conversation in between. James is creative but also patient; taking his time to set up the shot and make sure everything is just right. It was a lovely afternoon and I hope we can shoot again in the future. Recommended!

Well now what a fabulous shoot I had with James during my Exeter visit, the shoot was booked way in advance and comms beforehand we brilliant. We had a few conversations about what to shoot and styles but mainly left it up to the day!

On the day James arrived in plenty of time and was chatty and friendly, we started off with a chat and a cuppa and then had a mooch around the space picking up ideas.

We worked together with ideas and styling which helped the shoot flow and to be honest it went by like a flash!...

We got some really awesome shots!... As you will certainly see!!... It was great to experiment with different themes and ideas for me as well!...

James comes with a 100% recommendation from me, a really talented photographer and lovely person!...

This was my second shoot with James, this time during my studio weekend at the Art Asylum where we spent four hours.

As with last time, pre-shoot communications were great so I was able to arrive prepared for James' ideas.

We worked through many sets over pretty much the entire building.

I love the way that James works, his creativity and attention to detail really do shine through in his work.

I thoroughly enjoyed our shoot. James is professional and lovely to work with.

Fingers crossed that we can work together again at some point.

Definitely recommended!! :D

I got to work with the lovely James again on my 17 day tour! Our fourth shoot! :)

We shot at Mr Dave's place for four hours and worked our way through a tonne of cool and varied ideas! We also, as usual, made time for carrot cake too :D

Ideas always flow when I work with James and it's nice he is always up for trying out my mad ideas too! ;) Thank you and I can't wait for the next one! :)

I had a lovely shoot with James at my home yesterday. James responded to a casting I had put up and I was not disappointed with the results!

Unfortunately I had an eye infection but that didn't deter James enabling us to have a successful and varied shoot.

Pre - comms were great, very clear and concise and James is very respectful with great ideas.

James recently came to shoot me at my home. He got a little lost on the way here but he eventually made it in one piece :)

In messages James let me know the feel of shoot he wanted to do and we just rolled with it on the day. We got through about 4 - 5 sets. It was so lovely to see James again. He even brought his fancy new Polaroid camera to try out on me which resulted in some really cool and unusual shots. James came fully prepared with lighting equipment as well but we did not even need it. We just used natural light throughout the entire shoot.

I am so happy with what we created and I hope we do not wait another year to shoot together again. James is a joy to model for and is really easy going. I can not wait to see the photos going up on here :)

My 6th shoot with James. This time at my home for mine and Anna Quinn's duo day. As usual it was fab. Shooting with james is always awesome, he has so many cool ideas, is always extremely respectful, friendly and great fun to work with. Can't recommend him highly enough. Just had my first shoot with James today (having kindly braved his way through the Brynglass Tunnels to shoot at BEWT Studios in Cardiff) and it was a brilliant experience!

Having spoken with him initially, it was quickly apparent we both had the same ideas and I instantly fell in love with the lighting in his work in particular. Pre communication was fantastic and James was always very clear about his ideas and inspirations, which helped establish a list of what we wanted to shoot on the day and best prioritize the studio time. He arrived on time and kindly kept communications open prior to this to keep me in the loop.

James is an absolutely lovely guy and a wonderful photographer! Friendly and open to creative ideas, James gives clear directions to enhance a shot whilst also allowing me a lot of input with my poses and ideas and has a fantastic array of equipment to get the best image possible first time. Obviously passionate about his work, poor James was up and down stairs, on his knees, laid on the floor, up ladders - anything to get the best shot possible and this dedication really shows in his images! Approachable and a lovely guy, I felt completely at ease working through my various levels whilst in his company and just enjoyed the four hours having fun and cracking jokes as we went. The time flew by!

James always kept me in the loop as we worked, showing me the images each set so that I could see what was working and what wasn't. If a certain pose or idea wasn't ideal, he was honest with his direction and always had more ideas to keep the creative juices flowing! By the end of the shoot we'd built up a great rapport and when I asked him to pour paint over my head, James was such a good sport and got stuck in despite the mess I made with it after!

From the images I saw on-shoot, I can't wait to see the final results! James is a genuinely lovely, talented photographer and I would happily recommend him to anyone. I'd definitely work with him again! Thank you so much for a fun-filled, fab and truly messy shoot James - I had a total blast!

What can I say about shooting with James?

He is an absolutely epic human who does awesome photography and I had the honour of working with him! Yayyy!

This amazing dude has such a mesmirising way with light, natural or artificial, picking out the tones and highlights so effortlessly, whilst constantly moving for the best angle and scene...

James is super professional, with ideas that will blow you away and that were so fun to put into practice!

I can't recommend this fantastic photographer enough, he's such a joy to work with and the results are breathtaking :)
