My 6th shoot with James. This time at my home for mine and Anna Quinn's duo day. As usual it was fab. Shooting with james is always awesome, he has so many cool ideas, is always extremely respectful, friendly and great fun to work with. Can't recommend him highly enough. Can't wait to see the results!

Just had my first shoot with James today (having kindly braved his way through the Brynglass Tunnels to shoot at BEWT Studios in Cardiff) and it was a brilliant experience!

Having spoken with him initially, it was quickly apparent we both had the same ideas and I instantly fell in love with the lighting in his work in particular. Pre communication was fantastic and James was always very clear about his ideas and inspirations, which helped establish a list of what we wanted to shoot on the day and best prioritize the studio time. He arrived on time and kindly kept communications open prior to this to keep me in the loop.

James is an absolutely lovely guy and a wonderful photographer! Friendly and open to creative ideas, James gives clear directions to enhance a shot whilst also allowing me a lot of input with my poses and ideas and has a fantastic array of equipment to get the best image possible first time. Obviously passionate about his work, poor James was up and down stairs, on his knees, laid on the floor, up ladders - anything to get the best shot possible and this dedication really shows in his images! Approachable and a lovely guy, I felt completely at ease working through my various levels whilst in his company and just enjoyed the four hours having fun and cracking jokes as we went. The time flew by!

James always kept me in the loop as we worked, showing me the images each set so that I could see what was working and what wasn't. If a certain pose or idea wasn't ideal, he was honest with his direction and always had more ideas to keep the creative juices flowing! By the end of the shoot we'd built up a great rapport and when I asked him to pour paint over my head, James was such a good sport and got stuck in despite the mess I made with it after!

From the images I saw on-shoot, I can't wait to see the final results! James is a genuinely lovely, talented photographer and I would happily recommend him to anyone. I'd definitely work with him again! Thank you so much for a fun-filled, fab and truly messy shoot James - I had a total blast!

What can I say about shooting with James?

He is an absolutely epic human who does awesome photography and I had the honour of working with him! Yayyy!

This amazing dude has such a mesmirising way with light, natural or artificial, picking out the tones and highlights so effortlessly, whilst constantly moving for the best angle and scene...

James is super professional, with ideas that will blow you away and that were so fun to put into practice!

I can't recommend this fantastic photographer enough, he's such a joy to work with and the results are breathtaking :)

James was wonderfully prepared and arrived on time with a smile and enthusiastic attitude!

James was happy for me and Hannah to do our own thing and pose freely but he also had some great pose ideas for us to try out!

James was professional, relaxed and friendly and I hope when we work together again next it isn't two years apart!

Had yet another fab shoot with James, but this time for mine and Katie Greens duo day at hers. James was well prepared with lots of cool ideas, as well as letting myself and Katie put in our own ideas.

James is always a pleasure to work with. He's reliable, friendly and highly respectful. I always have a great time shooting with James and would highly recommend him to anyone!!

Helen Diaz

I worked with the lovely James again on a duo shoot- this time with the amazing Soria! As always, James is fantastic to work with- alot of fun, down to earth, respectful and very chilled to work with! He is super creative, thinks outside of the box and always takes wonderful photos! Every shoot is super productive.

Soria and I worked together on a mixture of fashion to art nudes around the house and had such a blast, creating different shapes and angles together, it was a very enjoyable day!

Artemis Fauna

I got to work with James again a few days ago during my tour! Yay!

He took me to a rather fabulous location and we shot some brilliant images in the four hours we had! I got covered in muck shooting inbetween the machinery but I loved every second!!

James was, as always, lovely to work with. He bought along snacks and drinks for us and was more than happy to try out any ideas I had too.

I can't recommend him enough! Really looking forward to seeing the images and shooting with him again soon, hopefully! :)

James booked me on my South West Tour and so pleased we got the chance to work together! Excellent pre-shoot comms, plenty of ideas and very professional.

James chose some awesome locations to shoot from, trying art nude, erotic and fetish styles, with some awesome props he brought along.

Matriix

James recently responded to the casting call for myself and another model to do a rural couple shoot..

The already chosen narrative was to be 'Running Away With The Farmer's Daughter'.

James was proactive from the beginning in suggesting potential locations and sharing images on the mood board we had prepared.

On the day itself, James was very knowledgeable of how to best use the environment and the natural features it had to offer. As a result the images captured were incredible.

After shooting we were able to immediately view the images together and agree on a selection for editing. James was very generous with his time and tremendously helpful in assisting with travel arrangements too.

Pleased to say we definitely made the right choice in working with Ghost Light Photography. The quality of work speaks for itself and is highly recommended by me :-)

Absolutely amazing shoot with James last night! He was professional, prompt and had loads of great ideas for images. The mark of a great photographer? When he's willing to lie on the edge of a 10 foot drop to get a great image! Can't wait to see the finished products! Pleasure working with you.

Had my third shoot with James today and once again I highly recommend him. We did a studio session and worked quickly along with the odd laugh. James is great to work with friendly and gives good direction, explaining his ideas clearly and showing the back of the camera so you know how to work your own shapes. Would very happily work again with him in future.

I worked with the lovely James again- this time as part of my Welsh tour, working alongside the beautiful Emma Willis! We worked together at Emma Willis' lovely home in Ebbw Vale and had such a lovely shoot!

As a person James is so down to earth, easy to work with and very considerate. He is creative and very experimental and creative with angles, which really shows in his photography. He is a talented photographer with a great eye (or two!) and always produces beautiful results! We had such a fun shoot, full of fun and laughte and lots of changes!

James booked myself and Helen Diaz on our duo weekend together and came to my home in Ebbw Vale. Despite the extremely heavy traffic he kept us continually up to date and managed to make it and we had a great shoot! He's very quiet but really friendly and I had a good laugh with him, although I think I came across as a slightly crazy lady. We worked together really well and time time went so quickly! His photography is so damn good too, I think he got sick of me saying "ooh I like that one!"

Recommend extremely highly, and if I haven't scared him off, I would love to work with him again :D

Bad Dolly

Today I had my first shoot with James at Dave's Bungalow in Exeter. I'd seen James' work on Purpleport over the past 2 years and as well as being struck by his creativity I also thought he came across as a great guy and was eager to work with him. I was not disappointed and not only was James professional and friendly he was fantastic at using the available light and in a short space of time we had cracking shots from each set that we were both really happy with.

James was really laid back and the time seemed to disappear, but after 4 hours of chatter and photos we were both so pleased with the results. Thanks for a great day!

Mog

Finally got to shoot with James! I have been a fan of his work for quite some time, admiring particularly how he never stands still, there's always experimentation and progress. His portfolio really speaks for itself on that score, the development of skill and style is clear to see.

We had four hours at the Manse and knocked out an astonishing variety of sets as James was full of bright ideas and kept getting more as he looked around at what was available to us in the studio. He's thoughtful, flexible and considerate which makes him a joy to work with - messaging me before the shoot to ask what snacks I would like him to bring was a very comforting touch. More importantly though, he's visionary and will try lots of different things which keeps the shoot crackling along with the excitement building every time he shares what he's got on the back of his camera.

Recommended? 100%.

I had my 4th shoot with James today at a derelict location & it was great. As usual James was a pleasure to work with, friendly, fun and respectful. He had lots of cool ideas and always ensured that I was comfortable throughout the shoot.

James is a really lovely guy, who's down to earth, caring and a gent. His work has come on leaps and bounds and the images he creates are awesome. Thanks again, can't wait to see them.

Another lovely shoot with James!

Despite our first location flopping due to it not being previously scouted - and a silly guide book not pointing out it was a pretty epic walk away :P - and the fact we got stuck in traffic and spent the first 2 hours of our shoot driving around!! We had a surprisingly productive shoot!

He had found a great little scrapyard type studio near by to where I was staying and the amount we got done in the last 4 hours of the shoot was incredible! So many different looks and all of them bloody awesome from what I saw on the back of the camera!!

Just another great shoot and not once did he let the bad luck at the start of the shoot deter him or dampen his mood :)

Highly recommended!!

It was good to have Ghost Light come and use the yard/workshop.

He found may photo opportunities, which led to very successful images.

What a fab shoot with James this evening along with Model Miss Marie.

James's pre comms were excellent, he arrived in great time and had ideas flowing the whole time. Easy to work with, friendly and talented .
