Photography has been a passion of mine all my life.  Since my retirement 15 years ago, I have had great fun and experienced considerable artistic fulfilment working with 349 different models. My creative collaboration with these wonderful people in our joint endeavour to create beautiful and often highly evocative imagery has been an absolute joy that will stay with me for ever. For the past 9 years I have been part of the PurplePort community and have been fortunate enough to earn 484 positive references with no negatives from its wonderful models.

However, all good things must come to an end at some point. The accident which shattered my left femur some 18 months ago and the subsequent forced convalescence period, got me back into on-road and off-road cycling - one of my other life-long passions, however this time around on e-bikes !  Together with the exploratory travel opportunities in our recently acquired camper van, I have found that I am left with little time for much else. As the models I have worked with know, my approach has always been to put an enormous amount of time and effort into preparing for every shoot. As I am no longer able to do this, I know the quality of my work will suffer and so I have decided to quit.

I have closed my studio, will be selling all the lights and photographic equipment

Winning daily competitions and FPI’s (including one awarded this week) have left me with PurplePort VIP membership which at this point extends to June 2027. Daily image loves and encouraging comments indicate that many members of the PurplePort community still enjoy perusing some of the 3209 images I have uploaded to my port over the years. I enjoy getting this feedback and so see no point in leaving. I will therefore remain a passive member of PurplePort for the present and keep an eye on my inbox.
