My Second Visit to Thurston Lodge.

Mark is an excellent host always welcoming. The Lodge provides an excellent backdrop for period styling and works exceedingly well for both stills and video shooting.

The house and grounds are superb and kept so tidy and neat that a wide range of angles and shots can be achieved very efficiently.

Many thanks Mark - I look forward to shooting at Thurston again - I highly recommend this venue to colleague photographers.

I had another awesome shoot at Thurston Lodge. It was my 3rd and I've still barely scratched the surface of what the place has to offer. Beautiful natural light & decor, and plenty of options for getting extravagant with lighting.

Mark is such a friendly and discreet host, too.

Every time i come here, i find new angles, new ways of shooting something, trying new techniques out and i look forward to many more visits here in the future

This was my first shoot at Thurston Lodge and I was immediately impressed with the building and grounds. Mark was very welcoming and a pleasure to meet. There is so much scope for images at this location, wspecially the natural light - it was worth the drive from London and I'd love to shoot here again in the future - Highly Recommended.

I had an excellent shoot today at Thurston Lodge - I finally got the opportunity to shoot there and was very pleased that I had. The location offers plenty of interesting shooting possibilities, and plenty of natural light to work with (even on the overcast day we had). I was really impressed how much space there was to work with - often on location the photographer has to curl up in the wardrobe just to be able to fit a small corner of the room into the shop, but the rooms at Thurston Lodge are a great size, with space for lights, photographer, model etc.

Mark was friendly and welcoming, showed me around the property and kept us going with tea and biscuits. All in all, I'd thoroughly recommend this location!

My second shoot at the impressive Thurston Lodge, this time in mid summer so we were able to shoot in the gardens which are very private and characterful. The house is stunning with its high ceilings, large windows, beautiful wooden floors, superb furnishings, and everything is spotlessly clean. Natural light floods in, and once again I used available light only, in a four hour shoot. Host Mark is very friendly and welcoming, helpful when needed whilst leaving you to get on with your work otherwise. Secure private parking is an added bonus. I’ll definitely be returning again and again to Thurston Lodge. Highly recommended.

My second shoot at Thurston Lodge, this time with the amazing Heather May Corvid.

The weather was kind and we managed to gets some shots in the garden.

Inside the house there are so many places to shoot that you could spend a day here and still not shoot everywhere.

This really is an amazing house, I look forward to my third visit.

Had my first shoot at Thurston Lodge today with one of my regular clients- despite the awful weather and none stop rain, i was delighted with the lodge itself and it's grounds. Mark the owner was very welcoming and made sure we were well catered for with drinks and such. The lodge was clean and spacious and very stylish- lots of lovely large windows that i'm sure when its sunny let in loads of natural light. The exterior of the lodge with all the ivey and statues is very quirky and theres plenty of rooms inside to pick from when shooting. Wonderful details on the ceilings and arches round the door- showing its georgian heritage. very local to me which is a bonus and i have to point out how pleased i was to see- a spacious room upstairs where the MUA could do my hair and makeup, a large mirror, good lighting, heaters, bins, clean toilets and plenty of space to put out alfits and props. A lot of studio's don't cover those basic needs of the model but thurston lodge really does- there was even a hair dryer to use! Great place to shoot- I recommended 100% thanks S x

Visited Thurston Lodge for the first time, working with Saffra.

We all received a warm welcome from Mark. He gave me a tour of the property to show all the great places to shoot. I was very impressed with the Lodge, it is a beautiful property. Good facilities for the model and MUA as well.

Mark made sure we were looked after, with refreshments available throughout the day.

Only the awful weather spoiled the day, preventing us getting some shots in the lovely gardens.

Would love to work at Thurston Lodge again in the future.

Absolutely love this place, only just discovered it but will shoot there as often as I can, so much space to use, so many ideas.

mark, the owner, communicated well and was very welcoming. He was helpful throughout and never seemed to interfere, a perfect balance. Thank you.

My only issue with heaping too much praise on the location and owner is that it might be difficult for me to book in the future.

Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure shooting at Thurston Lodge, from initial communication with Mark, the directions and the welcome. The property is stunning, and I could have shot for twice as long with all of the beautiful potential backdrops. Was looked after throughout the shoot and hope to visit again soon.

Miss Abi recommended the lodge run by Mark. His coms were excellent and concise.

The house is extremely spacious and beautifully furnished, providing a myriad of differing opportunities. With decent weather there's plenty of natural light.

Mark is a great host and I will definitely shoot there again when in the area.

Pre-coms with Mark the owner were fantastic and he was such a great host on the day, thank you so much Mark.

The place is stunning, each room gives you something different and its impossible to take it all in on the one shoot, its why i already have 2 more visits booked in :)

This was my first visit to Thurston Lodge. Natasha Oliver (local model) recommended it and it is a great location. The photos give a good idea of the rooms and even though it was not especially bright, I was able to shoot in some rooms using available light. I hope I can shoot there again soon. Recommended.

This is a terribly belated reference, but I had an excellent shoot with Stormbringer at Thurston Lodge, on the hottest day of the summer. It is a beautiful location for photos, there is so much creative scope, with its features lending themselves to endless compositional ideas. Mark showed us great hospitality, and we had an altogether lovely and productive day.

Highly recommended, and I hope I will work here again. Thank You. :)

I had another fab shoot at Thurston Lodge today - I could shoot here for weeks if not years without exhausting the possibilities. Mark is such an enormously helpful and accommodating host I'm sure to go back.

My first visit to Thurston Lodge and hopefully not my last. Situated in a private setting there are locations both inside and out (if it's not blowing a gale as it was this day). Period furniture and décor lends itself to capturing some classical images. Perfect host and the added advantage of being able to book B&B. Highly recommended.

Shot here with Straker for the first time, and it was such a lovely venue! The rooms have lots of possibilities for shoots. There was also ample space from at the dressing table. Thanks Mark!

Shot at Thurston Lodge for the first time and I was hugely impressed. The house is beautiful and the rooms to shoot in have an enormous amount of character and versatility. There's also the option to shoot outside.

Mark was a terrific host. He kept us topped up with refreshments and was extremely helpful without ever getting in the way.

I'd really like to come back and shoot here again. There are just so many great possibilities.
