Excellent visit to this fantastic location - this time for a natural light workshop. Once again Mark was a superb host with a constant supply of hot drinks and stoking the fire. Once again need to return as still seeing so many shots. Great place should definitely visit - you won't be disappointed

I had amazing shoot at Thurston Lodge. Owner Mark is very polite and made my visit very nice. I came much earlier before the shoot but he offered me tea and showed me the location. Place is beautiful with amazing bethroom, bathroom, living room and beautiful garden. I enjoyed shooting there and I would love to visit place again in the future.

I had my first shoot at Thurston Lodge and found the place to be wonderful. Beautifully styled with fabulous natural light options. Gardens are totally secluded with the most welcoming and accommodating host. Highly recommended.

I had a lovely shoot at Thurston last Sunday. Mark has been brilliant through-out. He was spot on with the pre-shoot comms, which is important when you’re trying match model dates with the studio. On the day he was a splendid host, welcoming us with a coffee, staying out of the way for the shoot, but being on hand if needed. The location is a beautiful old house with lovely large windows to let in the light. There are also loads of lovely props to add to your composition. Thanks Mark, I’m more than happy to recommend to other photographers and models alike.

Had my first group shoot at Thurston today. I have to say the lodge is a fantastic location to shoot. Each room is incredibly photogenic and filled with inspiration. There are so many potential backdrops. With ideas flowing, we effortlessly got stuck into our shoot.

Mark’s hospitality was also marvellous. I think it’s fair to say we all enjoyed the tea and biscuits :)

I would HIGHLY recommend Thurston Lodge to anyone looking for an outstanding classic location.

Our second all-male group shoot at Thurston Lodge. No-one could tire of this superb location with its endless possibilities: effectively five different country house sets (including the famous pannelled bathroom) plus a secluded garden and summerhouses. As the presiding Genius of Thurston, Mark's hospitality is legendary, and rightly so. Very highly recommended.

Booked Thurston Lodge for the entire weekend and 2 nights overnight stay for the first time. Truly one of the best shoots I have had and the results are outstanding

Had a great day at Thurston Lodge, it's a superb venue with so many shooting options. Honestly you could work there for a week and still find new ways to use the place.

Mark is an excellent host, showing the space clearly, letting you get on with it but always available should you need anything. He kept us well supplied with drinks throughout the day and couldn't have been more helpful. Definitely on my list of locations to return to.

I modelled for a duo art-nude shoot at Thurston Lodge a couple of weeks ago. It’s a beautiful place—gently imposing yet still warm and welcoming. We shot in the garden, hallway and bedroom—and came away with plans for more. Mark is a welcoming and obliging host, handily around but not intrusive. I’m looking forward to returning; recommended.

A superb country house venue, perfect for photographers and models alike. The natural light is a joy and with so many beautiful rooms to work in several visits will be needed! There is the opportunity to shoot inside and out in complete freedom thanks to the privacy of the place, and Mark is the most welcoming, helpful, and discreet (but attentive) host. Thurston gets my highest recommendation, and my two male models loved it: all three of us have ideas for what we want to shoot there next time! Thank you, Mark, for making this gorgeous venue available, and for looking after us so well.

I finally had the pleasure of visiting the now famous Thurston Lodge with a client who wanted to shoot in a beautiful location. From initial contact to the wave goodbye, Marks hospitality and friendliness lived up to everything I had heard from models and Photographers...just the nicest guy! Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us so well!

In terms of the house it was just fabulous, lots of choice and even in dull light it was wonderful to shoot in. There are so many opportunities and amazing rooms to shoot in, truly a Photographers dream! I will certainly be back and thoroughly recommend it! Thanks Mark!

Mark is a fantastic host with a lovely friendly manner about him. He ensured that everyone had drinks and snacks and he was available if anyone needed anything.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning and certainly provides an amazing backdrop for model photography.

I absolutely loved the day there and totally recommend Mark and the Lodge.

My first experience of Thurston Lodge today and I have to say what an absolute pleasure it was from the time I first contacted Mark several months ago right up to the shoot today.

The venue has everything you need and more with amazing decor and furnishings.

What a fabulous host Mark is keeping us supplied in refreshments and making sure we were ok throughout the day without at all being obtrusive.

All in all an amazing day, thoroughly enjoyed by all and one we will repeat in the future.

What a great venue for my first wedding shoot. Mark was great in helping me find the property and during the shoot, made sure that I had all I needed to make it go well.
