I found myself at short notice with some free time around Birmingham.

Shout out to sscreativephotography for also reacting last minute and agreeing to host a shoot.

I've not used the studio before but it is simply awesome. Really good size.

Atmosphere is friendly. Expert help is available whether to set the lights up or help hold fans and poly boards.

First rate customer care.

I have no hesitation in recommending this studio!

Really creative, quite spacious, with many interesting locations and options for photo shoots.

Also, the very pleasant, comfortable in communication administrator (or owner), who is always ready to help and suggest everything you need.

First time shooting at this studio and was really impressed with the sheer size of the location.

For those, like me, looking for that industrial feel with lots of interesting areas and natural light it's perfect. For those who want the studio feel and tools to work with, it had all that and much more.

Great place and highly recommended to visit if in the area.

Shot at SS Creative on a workshop organised by JD Tuition. Studio is bright and airy with different areas. Natural light is plenty. Lots of studio lights to use along with a range of props. Great space, will be booking my own shoots there.

My second shoot at this studio, this time on a group shoot organised by JD Tuition. The studio is great, easy to find and parking was not too difficult on a Saturday. There is a lot of scope in this studio for natural light shots, as well as using flash. Recommended.

As an individual, I've been working at SS Creative for several years, but today was the first time that I've run a workshop there.

It won't be the last.

Simply, it's a fantastic space, and currently with significantly upgraded lighting options. You can't really get better than Bowens...

Richard provided everything we needed for a brilliantly successful four hours' shooting. The space, the natural light... Wonderful.

Like Arnie, I'll be back!

I KNOW my previous reference isn't very far back, but the new Bowens lights in the studio are fantastic.

They take the possibilities for shooting at SS Creative to a whole new level - if you've never used studio flash units before, you need to visit so you can find out just how much better they are than 'speedlights' and LED panels.

And the Christmas sets are - as usual - wonderful!

Brilliant studio. First time shooting here and I’m definitely going to go back. So many different styles can be shot here. Personal favourite backdrop is the multicolour wool wall.

I noticed in the changing room there are straighteners and curlers too.

If you can, definitely book a shoot here

Last week I spent a day shooting with a couple of different photographers at SS Creative as a duo with Amethyst. The studio is a fantastic, unusual space with creative flair and attention to detail. The current winter / Christmas set is particularly impressive, while the other half is a perfect white studio space with an infinity curve. There are comfy sofas to sit on, tea and coffee making facilities, a music system, hanging rails, and the model changing area is filled with mirrors. We were greeted by Richard, who provided us with cosy hot water bottles to keep us warm throughout the day. Richard is very down to earth and driven. I would love to work here again and would give it my highest recommendation.

I came to this studio to work with Rebecca Tun and Amethyst as a duo. I'd skimmed the info and felt comfortable that we'd find something from the available spaces. I was pleased. Richard was helpful during booking and also when carrying kit out after the shoot. I was armed with two stereo rigs and the Christmas set cried out to be explored and I also found the infinity curve to be an opportunity for the nude work (not perhaps using it in the usual way). The atmosphere when I arrived was calm and friendly which was a good change from my slightly harassed journey from Leicester. Rebecca and Amy seemed comfortable (this matters a lot to me) and we were able to get started quite quickly and make good use of the two hours I'd booked. I especially liked that I didn't feel cramped being able to place both lights and cameras at good long distances. I recommend this as a friendly workspace and hope to visit again soon.

Atomic Photography

This was my first visit to SS Creative and I'm sure it won't be my last. The studio itself has plenty of options available to shoot including an incredible vibrant wall made of wool! There's plenty of natural light and the building it is located in has tons of quirky features so you could shoot here for hours without repeating a shot.

Sara was incredibly helpful and rescheduled my booking from earlier in the year when I had a model cancel a shoot on the day.

If you're local and haven't shot here I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Returned to SS Creative after a long absence . A great location next to junc 6 on the M6 so 15 min from where I live

Possibilities are endless in this place when you go out side the studio,was very impressed with the gold throne a new addition for me,all in all a good place to shoot plenty of space
