References for SS Creative Photography

I used SS Creative today for the first time and I am totally blown away by the potential this studio has! Great natural light from huge windows, TONS of old architecture to shoot against, props, infinity curve with quality studio lighting, unusual fantasy sets...the list goes on. Both my model and I loved it and our three hour shoot passes by way too quickly. Communication and booked where professionally handled by Sara who also greeted us at the start of our shoot and showed us around. I can’t recommend this studio highly enough and I will definitely be back :-)

this is one of the most accommodating studios I know. I had issues with models but they were able to adjust my timings to accommodate the shoot, they didn't complain and were more than happy to help. the studio is massive with lots of areas to shoot in and I cant wait to shoot here again. I highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed.

Having not used a studio in years I ended up shooting at SS Creative twice in the same week! Nice studio. Lots of natural light, plenty of space to work in and a good range of lights/equipment. Booking was easy, relaxed and friendly proprietors. I'd certainly use again, recommended.

My first shoot at SS Creative. An Aladdin's cave of locations and opportunities. I used the abundant natural light that streams through the windows - or it did when I was there. For some of the rest of the spaces it would be helpful to bring some of your own lights.

Using the natural light and moving the big corner sofa around a little it was very easy to create a loft inspired vibe for my shoot. I'd seen other photographers on PP using the wool wall and had to give it a go too - a flash behind it creates a range of colours and tones to light your subject.

Booking the shoot was easy, efficient, and great value for the space. I certainly expect to be back again sometime soon.

I shot at SS Creative today, everything from start to finish was excellent, from Sara’s pre-shoot comms to the location itself and Richard’s tea.

There’s loads of natural light, an infinity curve and a woodland grotto to shoot inside the studio itself and a wealth of gritty, industrial looking space with an urbex feel within the rest of the building. I would recommend bringing battery powered strobes or speedlights to give yourself the maximum freedom to explore, it’s a inspirational place indeed.

Highly recommended, I will definitely be back.

I shot at SS Creative Photography on Saturday. It's a fantastic studio, all the amenities required in the studio itself and the rest of the building offers fantastic elements available to shoot in.

Sara was brilliant at handling my booking and getting my settled in to the studio. I was then left to my own devices but she was always on hand should any assistance be required.

I wouldn't hesitate to book in again if i was shooting in Birmingham.

Booked the studio for a full day with me and Kym Williams. Just fantastic every thing you need is in the studio constant lighting back drops plus all the all the rest of the building to explore I really had the best day for a long time and can’t wait to book again.

Still my fave studio and a great creative space, and we use SS Creative most months. Sara works really hard to create a cool environment including backdrops and the new infinity curve is taking shape too. At the moment you still need to bring your own strobes but that is not a problem, and there are continuous lights. The added bonus of the Telsen building as an extended set always provides lots of variety for my friendly group, and we have been able to involve more than 30 people on one shoot. Very highly recommended.

W O W ! Such a wonderful creative space. I worked here yesterday and can honestly say I was like a kid in a candy shop, the effort behind the winter wonderland/christmas set blew my mind! I had so much fun and it just made shooting so very, very easy.

There is so much attention to detail in this studio such as, a cute dressing room with mirrors, clothes AND even moisturiser and baby oil! I love little touches! (Have you ever gone to shoot and you legs are looking a bit dry?! and you've forgot your moisturiser!!) well Sara has you covered!

I didn't leave without noticing the other sets and there is so much creativity to work with at this studio, I hope to work back there again.

I wasn't going to leave yet another reference, but...

Shooting on the Christmas set (actually, three sets: a winter wonderland, a tree and presents, and chairs beside the fire) made me change my mind.

Sara's put enormous work and effort into styling this - and it pays off, in spades. If you want to shoot with a real Christmas feel, go there. Quickly!

I have attended three group shooting sessions at this studio - every time has been great. They have a wide array of photography equipment, and the very large building has so many sections, that you will be spoiled for choice when looking for a nice background. They also have a nice variety of decorated spaces, and studio backdrops. I highly recommend this studio.

Both the model I worked with and I love the coloured wall, clearly modelled on Joseph's coat of many colours.

A studio run by a woman often has the edge, and that's certainly the case at SSC. More interesting, and somehow neater!

Just completed my first shoot at SS Creative, and it was a absolute pleasure.

Sara kindly showed us the whole studio and also gave us a tour of the amazing building with its unique and interesting nooks and crannies!

The studio is well equipped, amazing natural light from huge windows and a variety of sets/areas.

Sara clearly takes model comfort seriously with an fantastic changing/make up area, great heating and well equipped kitchen/lounge facility.

My model and I were both blown away by the place and are already planning a repeat - Sara is planning a Winter Wonderland set and we will definitely be shooting in it!

It had been a while since I'd last shot at SSC, and there have been the sort of lovely changes that seem to keep happening there. New sets and props.

Sara very kindly let me do a shoot that my model described as a 'cake smash' (though, in the end, not so much as a cupcake was harmed before we finished). Needn't have packed the dustsheet, then!

I organised a large group shoot with SS Creative Studio on the 22nd of April for 8 hours, we had the whole run of the building and got some great shots. It is an astounding building with so much to shoot.

I had 17 models to shoot work with an Richard helped out massively giving us a tour of the building and a rundown of the rules, he was on hand if we needed help or information.

Would definitely recommend!
