I thoroughly enjoyed being a model for Shawn’s workshop last weekend and shooting with him- It was absolutely frickin’ awesome!

Conversation flowed easily and everyone had a great laugh and got brilliant results with Shawn’s guidance.

He did some set ups that I hadn’t had experience with before which was great, so I also learned something new.

Heating was turned onto the max for me most of the time (I’m sorry) and I was made to feel comfortable throughout.

We took regular breaks but we also got so much done.

I think everyone walked away happy.

I got collected and dropped off at the station on time and perfectly timed to get the earlier train back home :)

I would definitely recommend Shawn to any model whether you’re shooting with Shawn himself or just using the studio.

I attended a fitness/dance workshop run by Shawn today.

Superbly run in a relaxed atmosphere. The night was very informative. We covered a lot of different sets. Each lighting setup and the reason it was chosen was well explained.

Everyone got ample time to shoot each set and Shawn was happy to answer any questions and help as required.

The studio is very well equipped and combined with Shawn's experience the options are endless.

His choice of Dee and Charliee as the models was perfect.

Shawn and the studio are highly recommended and I hope to shoot there again soon.

I've worked with Shawn a lot, as a tutor and modelling at his studio.

I've come so far in a short space of time thanks to Shawn, with photography and retouching.

He's so friendly and helpful and very encouraging!

We've also done a few shoots where we've swapped round, he's been a model for me, the irony is hilarious, I don't think he saw it coming :D

I worked with Shawn in his studio "Scarlet Door" based in Bracknell for a two day workshop and was not left disappointed!

Shawn is not only a tremendously business savvy studio owner and brilliantly magnetic photographer in his own right; he is also an extremely warm and friendly person! In fact his professionalism and expertise within the realms of business and photography are matched by his ability to project an open and welcoming persona at all times. Shawn is a true delight to be around whilst his creative talents seem to be endless! From hosting workshops to creating beautiful images to teaching complex lighting techniques; Shawn can do it all and with an envious ease! Shawn is professional, polite, talented and extremely generous; guaranteeing a wonderful and creative experience to any individual that comes to his studio!

My trip spanned over two days in which I worked with Shawn and many other photographers on a one to one basis. The workshops were brilliantly organized by Shawn ensuring that everybody was able to accomplish what they wanted to achieve in a timely fashion whilst still allowing each individual to take full advantage of what Shawn’s studio has to offer.

In truth opportunities for creating compelling images with Shawn are limitless and rightly so! His studio is well equipped; backdrops, lights, props, everything a photographer may need is readily available whilst Shawn is more than willing to share his expertise in various lighting set ups and photographic techniques. There is also a lovely well lit good sized changing room specifically for models to use, ideal for organising outfits and preparing for a shoot, allowing models to change looks easily and in privacy if warranted. It’s a great studio to work in but what’s more it’s highly professional, immaculate and well equipped!

The workshops with Shawn were great fun and highly rewarding! The workshops consisted of Shawn creating between 6-8 different lighting set ups and outfit changes, offering a multitude of different photo opportunities for the many great photographers who attended (as well as myself). The days followed a strict schedule yet flowed coherently. In fact everything ran like clockwork and the hours just flew by! But time flies when you’re having fun right?!

Shawn worked extremely efficiently and quickly, allowing every photographer to cover a wide variety of different photographic styles, looks and lighting set ups ranging from high key fashion to beautiful whimsical nudes. It was none less than impressive! Shawn never tired and his enthusiasm was infectious to all involved. Shawn was also an excellent host! Making drinks and preparing food for everybody and even allowed me to take cigarette breaks! Additionally, the photographers that I got to work with were just as warm, polite and professional as Shawn and I was really impressed with the images they all created! They were a lovely group of individuals.

Overall, working with Shawn and being a part of his workshops was simply amazing and so much fun! I got to meet and work with a great bunch of photographers who were all a pleasure to be around and come away with some great images! Shawn himself is a little sweetheart but what’s more he is a master of photography, possesses an extremely high skill set and is extremely professional! I’d highly highly recommend any photographer or model to work with Shawn! He has everything you’d hope for and more! I had a wonderful experience and would be more than happy to do it again and again! Work with Shawn, you won’t regret it!

I've worked with Shawn a multitude of times and every time gets better and better! Always pushing ourselves creatively, making sure we get the best work out of each other. Shawn is an absolute darling, and you'd be hard pushed to meet someone any sweeter. He takes good care of all at shoots or in his studio. He takes the time to consider the concept and bring it to life. I cannot recommend him enough. Comms are excellent, and just a lot of fun to work with. Very relaxed and easy going.

He's a lovely person, a fantastic character, an awesome photographer and everything you could want in a studio owner. I was over the moon when he asked me to do a studio day at Scarlet door last month, and when the day came it was fantastic. SHAWN! Well what can I say! Each time we've shot we've got through so much on just one evening!

We went through 4 sets each with a completely look!

Shawn is friendly chatty and listens to great music!

He is highly professional and knowledgable, in terms of lighting and photography, and really had developed a great technical knowledge! Most definitely will be coming back again!!

Have done so many shoots at Scarlet Door now, but yesterday was my first workshop with Shawn and the guy is true talent!

We went through a range of light setups on an evening workshop with Serenity, covering all the traditional setups as well as a couple of challenging ones.

Shawn tells everything so simply and gets everyone involved. Such an easy guy to get along with and I very much look forward to attending another one of his sessions.
