Today I had a studio day at Rawpicsstudio in Ilminster. Rod is a perfect organisator,and I was really pleased when he invited me to shoot at his studio. The studio itself is amazing, very spacious with different variety of backgrounds and probs, I also like the room for the models , it is very cosy and comfortable. I was really pleased to meet Rod, he is very respectful and polite photographer, his studio is equipped perfectly. Rod will do everything to make the model feel comfortable. Highly recommended to shoot with Rod,and to book slots to shoot at his studio. It is one of the best studios I have ever been in,

Had my first shoot at the studio yesterday with the Talented Maryna Sedin,

The studio is easy to find and sits in some lovely grounds which are also available to shoot in.

Both model and studio were ready to start as soon as I arrived, refreshments and 'gear area" available.

Models dressing room is spacious and comfortable, as is the studio, lots of ambient light and many possibilities for set building.

Rod helped us create sets, lighting, and creative angles which I endorse in my style of shooting.

The studio is a comfortable place to express your creative ideas and i was happy with the results achieved

My third visit to the studio. But first as organised group shoot With Melany and Retro Rob. The lighting spot on even organised a vintage 1930's MG car for the shoot not many studios are big enough for to use a car can the infinity curve. A constant supply of tea coffee and snacks. And the weather then turned out ok to move into the large garden.

Already booked my next shoot next month. 100% recommend this studio.

I was so lucky to have been at the Melany and Retro Rob Group Shoot at Rawpics Studio yesterday. It was more than a shoot, it was an amazing experience, adventure and an absolute joy to be a part of.

The pre-planning that they all put into every set and style is so apparent and made the shoot run perfectly. Rod excelled with his kindness, the lighting and in obtaining a 1930s MG for the shoot in the studio

Rod was his usual very hospitable self providing more food and drink than we could cope with - and lovely food it was.

A beautiful shoot, a wonderful day and amazing images.

I can't thank Rod enough for the support, energy, enthusiasm and sheer hard work he put into today's group shoot event.

The event was split into two parts with The Great Gatsby in the morning and Bonnie & Clyde in the afternoon - with myself and Retro Rob as the models.

Not only did Rod manage to secure a vintage car for the event but he provided exceptional lighting set-ups for the different scenes that we acted out for the day, and multiple props, refreshments, lunch, and photographic advice!

In addition, Rod is welcoming, accommodating and extremely considerate - looking after both photographers and models so well. I didn't want to go home!!

As a result of Rod's hard work in providing such an amazing studio and all the effort him put in on the day - we were able as a team to host a very successful event with very happy photographers leaving at the end of the day!

Thank you so much Rod for hosting such a brilliant event and very well done on all the success you are achieve with Rawpics Studio!

Had my first shoot today at Rawpics studio, lovely space, lots natural light and endless possibilities, multiple backdrops and props, loads light options to play with as well. Rod very friendly guy, really helpful and certainly a studio I'll return to again.

Firstly may I begin by saying my heart felt thank you for not only being the host with most!

But making me feel so welcome and supported for what was a truly amazing shoot a Gatsby and Bonnie and Clyde themed shoot with my duo partner Melany on another one of our amazing adventures this time at the incredible Raw Pics Studio.

Pre coms where totally on point and I knew that after our initial chat we were going to get on and we sure did!

Rod delivered above and beyond from a vintage car to lighting and refreshments and ensuring that not only photographers achieved what they wanted to create but that everyone felt the love and we sure did.

Thank you so much Rod for a really awesome studio day and for everything you did throughout the day to make the magic.

I can't wait to work with you again and create some more magic.

Had another fantastic day at Raw Pics Studio, this time for a lighting workshop.

Rod was again very friendly and an amazing host, impeccable organisation so everything ran smoothly and we were provided with lovely snacks and lunch too as well as bottomless teas and coffees.

The studio is a joy to shoot in with so many available amenities, lots of choice for backdrops, props, lighting set ups and a lovely changing room for the models. He was very considerate of the models well being too, which always makes me feel so comfortable here and I would never hesitate to shoot here again and again. The infinity wall in particular is unique and a real hidden gem. The studio is very well signposted and super easy to get to.

The workshop was very interesting and I think the photographers did amazingly well practicing the lighting techniques taught expertly and guided by Peter Carter.

An Eye for Beauty

Rod could not have been more helpful in my second 4 hour shoot at the studio. I had booked Josie Lauren for circus performance which Rawpics enables with such a high space and motorized winch for silks and hoop. But also for various character studies and we used a number of different settings. Coffee and other refreshments are always at hand, and Rod will stop whatever he is doing to provide the best resources to enable brilliant pictures to emerge. I will certainly be back. Thanks, Rod, once again.

This was my first shoot at Rawpics and it did not disappoint.

The studio is very large, beautifully decorated and well equipped. On top of this, Rod is lovely, helpful and makes the shoot atmosphere feel really laid back.

The changing room is a fantastic space, he provided refreshments and was on hand to help wherever needed (in this case mostly to stop me spinning in the hoop).

The studio has space has the ability to get cars inside, rig aerial equipment, has a beautiful infinity curve, multiple props and sets and great light.

I'd certainly recommend the studio and hope to be back!

Had a most rewarding two hours at the studio on AntoniaJay's studio day there. Rod was very helpful in adjusting lighting to give the outcome I was looking for and happily did this througho, lots of headroom and I found the brick world map particularly attractive. Thanks Rod: I will keep my eyes on castings for future events.

Rod and I organised to do a studio day at Rawpics on Saturday after meeting at his studio where I was shooting with another photographer, I was really excited as I absolutely love the studio and really got on with Rod.

Pre comms for the day were flawless, Rod let me know of every booking and double checked I was happy and comfortable for all shoots to go ahead.

We did not fill all the slots so Rod decided to book a 2 hour slot with me at the start of the day which was really kind.

On the day I arrived and was offered a hot drink as well as water and snacks led out in the dressing room for me.

Rod went through some of the styles he was hoping to get from the shoot and we was bouncing ideas off of eachother, we got some really creative shots that I love!

Throughout the day Rod was really helpful and made sure I felt comfortable at all times and I really felt safe and well looked after.

We went through the images that we took after the day ended and Rod let me make sure I was happy with the images and got rid of any I didn't like which is really reassuring and I'm very grateful that he is such a gentleman.

I look forward to working with Rod and Rawpics studio in the future and I give a massive 100% recommendation to him and his studio

What a brilliant place to shoot!

This was the second time ive used this studio, both times i worked with the same photographer. Rod is a brilliant host, offering tea and coffee on arrival and gives you a warm and friendly welcome into his studio.

The space inside is epic, one of the cleanest and biggest curved white walls ive seen in 6 years of modelling! He has set it up so youre able to get multiple different backgrounds and moods, including a deep red backdrop, the beautiful plain white wall, a rustic looking backdrop and he also has set up a little area which looks "lived in", with props etc, which is so great to be able to have the choice to use that for a more real life setting.

The dressing room is large with hangers to hang up your outfits and has huge mirrors and alot of space to change/lay out clothes. Each time ive arrived its been spotless, with water and a few snacks on the dressing table (which pushes him right up to the top tier of studios! :P)

Rod is friendly and has a great sense of humour, hes more than happy to help with lighting and he stays in the studio throughout the shoot and puts a screen up to give the model and photographer privacy. He was kind enough to show me the bathroom, which is a short walk through a lovely garden, and during the walk he spoke to me about safety and what to do if i felt uncomfortable at any point throughout the shoot.. Which is so refreshing and means i wouldnt hesitate to recommend this studio to a more inexperienced model, as i know she will be safe.

Im hoping to come back for a studio day soon, and maybe make use of the beautiful gardens!

Theres so much more to experiment and play with at this studio space, and i thank you for opening it!

Back at Rawpics for another excellent shoot.

As well as having all the space you could ask for it also comes with Rod the owner. It's great having a working photographer to discuss ideas with and offer that extra pair of hands when needed.

This time Rod went above and beyond not only helping with the smoke machine but also setting up the next set whilst I carried on taking photos. He also suggesting a light I haven't used before, but was ideal for the shot.

Rod also makes great cup of tea and helps making the models relaxed and catered for.

I recently had my first studio day at Rawpics and it went like a dream! Rod the studio owner was amazing from start to finish, he went above and beyond! Rod was on hand throughout the day, and regularly checkied in with me to make sure I was comfortable and happy, he is a true professional and makes the world of photography a safe space.

The studio itself is incredible and immaculately clean!! The infinity wall is ace and kept bright white with no marks which is fab. There is so much variety to shoot and with the space being so big you can switch sets really easily and move form space to space without any stress, the things you can do here are endless.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting here and I really hope to be back early next year if not before, Thank you for having me :)

My first visit to Rawpics Studio which is spacious and well equipped. Rod is on hand to help and answer any questions (there were loads as I am new to this!). Nothing was too much trouble and I am already looking forward to my next visit. Cannot recommend enough, many thanks Rod. He also makes a fab cup of coffee!

Shot again at Rawpics and thought I better leave an updated reference.

Always great shooting there for three main reasons:

1) Great studio with ample backgrounds, lights and accesories.

2) Plenty of refreshments for me and the model

3) Rod always happy to answer questions and help when needed.

All these makes it a great place to shoot and create wonderful images.

After chatting to Rod for a while we finally got a date in the diary for a studio day and it was more than I could have hoped.

From the get go Rod made everything stress free and even did a large amount of the advertising - which was much appreciated.

On the day there was tea and coffee on tap, along with plenty of snacks. The changing room was very well equipped and comfortable.

The studio itself is very impressive. A large infinity cove, multiple other backdrops and props... I was like a kid in a sweet shop! Not to mention the large grounds that can be used. The place is beautiful!

Rod goes above and beyond for models and photographers, being on hand the whole time to help with setups and ensuring the model is comfortable and happy.

Overall I can highly recommend both the studio and Rod to any model or photographer.

I will definitely be back!

This is a great studio! It has totally converted me to infinity coves! Massive amount of space and versatility on offer, had all the equipment and props I could ask for and great hospitality available. Rod was always available with helpful advice/solutions and the location itself is pretty stunning too. Would happily revisit.
