As a photographer I am lucky to have my own studio but when I had a family shoot booked, I knew I needed a much bigger space to accommodate them all. Rawpics is not that far from me nor the clients and as they have such a huge space available, they were the obvious choice. Rod was very welcoming and after we had chatted on the phone about what I needed, I arrived to find everything set up and in place. He was lovely, chatty and professional and was there if I needed lights changing. The studio is an amazing place with loads of possibilities for various sets etc and lends itself well to creativity and inspiration. As a photographer it was a little bit like being a kid in a candy store. My shoot with the family went extremely well and they too were very impressed with the space Rawpics offered and they said it was good value for money. Having used it once I am confident that should I need a larger space in which to shoot then Rawpics would be my go to studio. I would thoroughly recommend the studio and Rod and if you are looking for somewhere spacious, light and full of potential in which to shoot you will not be disappointed.

I booked a 3 hour beauty/portrait/headdress shoot with Victoria Summers at rawpics studio and the first impression you get is just how massive this space is. It boasts a very wide infinity cove and very tall ceilings - this is a photographer's dream! I found it very easy to get to on Google Maps and I parked literally right outside the studio.

Rod was an absolute gent in helping me set up lighting and backdrops and together as a group effort, we created some stunning fine art images using his amazing props.

Very highly recommended studio :)

Awesome studio and owner. Genuinely friendly and welcoming. Rod was incredibly helpful, based on a previous discussion he had my entire shoot set up for me before I even arrived which made everything effortless. Provided guidance with equipment and saved me from disaster when I suffered a faulty memory card. The studio is huge, easy to find and a fantastic location indoor and out.

Organised Chaos

I had my first shoot at Rod's studio yesterday on a 4 hour shoot with Victoria Summers.

First totally spectacular location the studio is very large & had in it a 60's MGA I was able to use as a prop for Victoria.

There is an abundance of lighting there really fun backdrops & the outdoors is totally in a total upper level as they are extensive with so many trees,plants,bushes & nooks to shoot in & it is secluded so it's perfect for things up to art nude.

Rod is the best host & exceptional photographer super friendly & helping with making suggestions & with a new clicker like me it is totally so needed to have his input as I asked for that input & if I had not I would have missed so many shots as it is a big help to have the asked help.

Had a great shoot at Rawpics studio. Fabulous big space, and awesome infinity curve as well as several other backdrops not to mention the beautiful and secluded gardens. Rod was always on hand to set up lights and help out. A great place to shoot with so many possibilities.

WOW! Mind blown by the size of this studio and its only up the road ! Super host also , Rod is really lovely , hands on and helpful . Superb outdoor space ! Likely , the best studio in the area . I shall be in touch for a studio day , if hell have me back and i am going to get my thinking cap on because i need to take advantage of this opportunity.

My second shoot at this studio, this time with the ballet dancers Ella Slingsby and David Wall. Rod set up the lighting for me and was on hand to assist later on when needed. This is a great studio and I am glad that I am coming back in a few weeks time with a different model. Recommended.

Rod puts model safety at the top of the list, a priority we share. This made my very novice model feel very comfortable, and at ease.

He is on hand to help with lighting set ups, and comes up with some great ideas for getting the best shot as I’m still a relative newbie to studio shoots but a definite convert

Loads of props and back drops, plus garden for outdoor shots.

This is my second time shooting here but definitely won’t be my last

Had another great day at Rawpics Studio yesterday for the Creative Characters photoshoot. As always, Rod was an excellent host and extremely helpful in assisting the photographers and models feel at ease. He is also excellent at suggesting alternative options for the photo shoot and has a vast amount of props that can be used. In addition the garden at the studio is also wonderful for outdoor images with a wide variety of settings and backdrops to choose from. Highly recommended.

I had another great day at the fabulous Rawpics studio. It was a camera club meet and Rod was so accommodating for us all. Ensuring that there was ample parking to making sure that there was plenty of food and drink. The effort Rod made was really appreciated.

The great thing about Rawpics is the variety you can get from the day - not only is there a fantastic studio with different backdrop options, there is also the stunning garden which for this time of year ( and a beautiful day like yesterday) you can use the natural light of the garden. There are some really beautiful trees as well as some borders full of lovely flowers.

Rod thank you for another great day and looking forward to using the studio again which i will as I am very local :)

Recently modelled at Rawpics Studio and what a wonderful event and studio! I really appreciated how much effort Rod put in to the day and how well-prepared everything was. Kate and I felt very well looked after.

The studio is a large space with a lot of versatility, props and a lovely dressing room. Also the garden is absolutely beautiful with lots of flowers and trees for lovely summery images!

It was a pleasure to meet Rod, he was very friendly, helpful and polite. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the studio and I look forward to returning in future!

A very enjoyable shoot at this studio for the first time. Rod was very helpful setting up the lighting and supplying coffee. Although it is a long way from home I hope to come back to this studio again in the near future. Recommended.

What a fabulous second studio day I had at Rawpics studio in Ilminster.I was very happy to be back there as Rod is always very friendly and nice to me,and he organised everything perfectly as always. His studio is one of the best studio, with a lot of probs,and it is really huge. Several shoots at Rawpics since my last reference, bit of an update.

The studio has great facilities for both photographers and models. And free flowing tea. As you'd expect.

I was able to contact Rod in advance for a recent shoot to discuss backgrounds and styles and on the day they were ready and waiting.

And once shooting I can mention I'll need a certain lighting set up in an hour and its all set up when I need it. This saves time and keeps the shoot flowing.

Plus Rod is a great chap and always ready to chat about our photography journey. Did I mention he makes tea.

I've used Rawpics studio a big handful of times now with both Andymcg and models and it deffintly is the best studio I have used so far.

As myself is still new to studio photography Rod is always extremely helpful when I'm needing assistance with light changes, background changes and any camera advice.

Not only is Rod helpful, professional and an excelent host, he has a unquie selection of different beautfuil backdrops, furtniture peices and studio equitment to use on each shoot.

I highly recommend Rawpicsstudio to all models and photographers

Just had a very successful first trip down to Rawpics and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The studio is a really lovely space to work in with a great range of backdrops, lights, modifiers and props. Rod is an excellent host keeping the coffee flowing and helping out when needed.

Would definitely recommend and I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Another fantastic shoot at RawPIcs, this time Melany’s studio day.  The space at RawPics is perfect for movement with a large infinity-cove and space for a other sets and back drops.  Rod is the perfect host and always on hand to set up different lighting setups.  There is also great natural light in the studio.  I can recommend RawPics most highly and always look forward to future shoots there.
