I had a fantastic first trip to The Boardroom yesterday. A fantastic space with gorgeous windows and light, lots of options for shooting set ups and props. Phil was helpful, polite and friendly throughout and made it a great experience which flew by, with plenty of brews throughout!

I'd definitely recommend the studio to others and hope to return to shoot again soon! :)

Had a first post-lockdown shoot at Phil's........ An excellent 3 hours with Marie. Phil has a wide array of quality lights and modifiers, and the studio has many opportunities for using ambient light. Highly recommended and I'll be back............. and I will be in 2 weeks. Oh yes, all covid rules in place......

What an amazing place, such a great space! I shop here yesterday and what a joy, I will definitely be back! Had a wonderful time shooting with Phil and I so excited about the images, can’t wait to go back will be organising a model day! ☺️

What can I say about Phil?!

Phil is an absolutely fantastic photographer and studio owner. I’ve been here countless times and Phil is always the most friendly and approachable host, always offering a hand with equipment and ideas.

In terms of shooting with Phil I genuinely get lost for words- I think our images have been the real show stoppers in terms of portfolio, engagement, and concepts.

I always absolutely adore the images we come out with and working with Phil is such a breeze, the studio is always extremely comfortable to work in no matter the temp & weather outside, and time just flies- also cuppas are A*!

I’ll definitely be back again and again and would recommend Phil and the boardroom to absolutely anyone. :)

I mean what can I say....... Phil is just the nicest, politest person. He is an extremely good photographer, he’s not just a hobbiest the really knows what he’s doing. He can transform a plain white room into a beautiful set which completely takes you to another place entirely. He encourages you and makes you feel confident and directs you brilliantly while allowing you to do your job, he’s very easy to work with.

First time for me shooting at The Boardroom recently and I was very impressed indeed. Much easier to find than I had anticiapted, easy parking and on the ground floor too. Phil was an amiable host, providing endless cups of coffee and assistance as and when required.

I enjoyed my first visit here and would most definitely recommend The Boardroom to others. I would hope to return sooner rather than later.

Had an incredible shoot on Thursday at the boardroom studio! This was my third visit but my first time working with Phil which I was super excited about as it’s not secret Phil is a fantastic photographer.

Phil is really lovely and such a nice person to work with,his enthusiasm sets up for an incredible shoot. He came up with some imaginative ideas for the bridal shoot that suited the boardroom perfectly which is a beautiful,classy place to shoot. I’d recommend the studio for clean,crisp photos!

I am in awe of the images I’ve received from the shoot so far. A huge thank you to Phil for being amazing and helping to bring everything together on the day.

Second time shooting at the boardroom now! And I’ll definitely be using it again, if not regularly! It’s one of my favourite studios by far. Lots of natural lights, back drops, props! And Phil is lovely and very helpfull. Id recommend Phil and his studio to anyone!

I had never heard of The Boardroom until I applied to a casting. Naturally I had loads of questions which Phil answered promptly. When we got to The Boardroom, I was met by Phil who showed us around his amazing studio and all the equipment he has to help you to design whichever setup you wish! Having started with natural light, I moved over to backdrops and was overwhelmed with choice!

Phil is very good at communication and the studio is fantastic! I very much hope to go back to The Boardroom again in the not-too-distant future.

In these strange times there has been many studios breaking the rules to make money. The Boardroom is not one. Amazing Covid procedures and very professional. An amazing shoot with very friendly and supportive interaction. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

Having previously met Phil for a guided tour of his incredible studio I had my first shoot with the lovely Francheska. Everything about shooting there was perfect. The hospitality, facility, equipment and oh, the natural light is amazing, even though it wasn't a very bright day.

I will definitely be shooting there many times to come. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you Phil.

I haven't had many in-person shoots since lockdown lifted but I was very pleased to head back to The Boardroom recently, for some shoots carried through from earlier postponed model days.

They are taking safety very seriously, with great hygiene, sensible rules and track and trace, whilst still making it a really friendly and enjoyable experience. I felt respected and at ease, and Phil is as helpful and professional as always. I look forward to some more shoots there in the near future.

Highly recommended in all ways :-)

A Shot in the Dark

I booked a 1-2-1 teaching session with Phil to learn about specific lighting set ups. Every part of this was amazing!

I was able to choose the specific set ups from shots Phil had previously taken, and he recommended the amount of time needed. This made it feel so tailored to me, so I could learn exactly what I wanted! I'm not the most technical photographer and Phil always kept it on my level, without being patronising in the slightest and being very patient haha!

I never felt rushed, everything was at my pace with plenty of time to get shots for each set up. Phil also made sure to let me know how I could adjust things to shoot in my own space, or with less lights so I could replicate it at home. Importantly, I was able to learn how to fix problems I might encounter.

I was also super impressed that Phil had taken the time to print the lighting diagrams for each look we covered for me to take away! Such an awesome touch and great for people like me who have bad memories!

The price is ridiculously reasonable, so much so that I plan on booking another session early next year!

I came away with so many images I loved, and the knowledge to go away and replicate my own and put different spins on them.

If you want to learn from someone who is both incredibly knowledgeable and generous with that knowledge I really couldn't recommend Phil enough. You are guaranteed incredible images and if he can teach me he can teach anyone! Plus, he's a lovely bloke.

TLDR book a teaching session, you wont regret it.

I was lucky enough to have a creative day with him as both studio host and photographer, and he just amazes me with his resourcefulness, meticulous attention to detail, and skill. Not to mention how easygoing and accommodating he is. A well-maintained and versatile studio space, run by a true camera and photoshop sorcerer. Highly recommend!

I had my first shoot with The Boardroom on Friday and I can confidently say it was one of the best shoots I’ve had, Phil is extremely talented and very good at what he does, I came to Phil with an idea which I was sceptical about whether it could be done or not, and Phil absolutely smashed it! Phil was such a fantastic host and was extremely helpful and patient with a lot of requests from myself. A great guy too.

The photos of this studio, do not do it justice and the props were amazing (I think everyone wants that mirror) :)

I had been wanting to shoot at The Boardroom for ages.

This lived up to expectations; a fantastic place to shoot. Phil responded quickly to communications enabling me to book and secure the models for my shoots.

Phil was on hand during my visit and kept me supplied with hot drinks through my shoots.

Thnaks again Phil for being such a great host. Hopefully will book you and use the Studio again in the not too distant future.
