Attended Modelography's Natural light and Speedlight course.

The location was varied giving many different scenarios.

The set ups and information allowed the group to achieve superb results, also allowed us to change settings to see how the angles and levels varied the resulting images.

Highly recommended.

Mike is very friendly, full of ideas for the full shoot and he booked me for a workshop in October which I'm so looking forward to do after this shoot!

Attended my second course with Modelography, as I enjoyed the 1st so much. The course demonstrated how to use natural and flash lighting in a beautiful countryside location. I must say this course was also fantastic, I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed myself. One of the best photography tutors I've met! Simple and easy to understand explanations the fantastic Irida modelling, great other students and well paced. Thank you!

Attended Modelography's natural light with flash tutorial today and had a great time - there's a lot to take in and Modelography was super patient with us all - despite some of our sillier questions!

We shot in some challenging locations - actually chosen to be challenging and we talked through how to overcome the lighting problems that might be thrown at us - and walked away with some stunning images of the very beautiful IridaS.

I hope to start applying this learning as soon as possible as I feel it's taken my natural light skills up a notch!

I went on Modelography's Natural Light and Flash workshop. It was great to meet some photographers that I actually follow and meeting Mike for the first time was good too. The model (Irida) was stunning and great to work with. The tutorial was superb and i could take things from it, so I can use it on my next outdoor shoot. Awesome creative lighting workshop yesterday run by Modelography. I have attended a few workshops on lighting now and this was by far the best!

Model was Irida S shoot at Neon Dreams studios great to work with Irida again and my fellow photographers who were all great guys.

So why was it the best? Modelography took us through a large number of set ups, each photographer has plenty of time to shoot each set, but most of all it was the clear and detailed explanations and reasons for each light set up, explanations of what to and what not to do. This course has already improved my knowledge greatly and lots of valuable takeaways. 5 hours flew buy, thank you sir until the next time!

I had the opportunity to attend the creative studio lighting workshop hosted by Modelography at the Neon Dreams studio. The knowledge and skills I gained in just five hours were truly invaluable.

The workshop was well-organised and professionally conducted, providing an ideal environment for learning and experimentation. Mike is a natural teacher, sharing his expertise with enthusiasm and clarity.

I can't wait to dive into editing the images captured during the workshop and apply the techniques I've learned to my own studio practice. The experience has inspired me to explore new creative possibilities in my photography.

I applied to Modelograph’s event and training course on ‘Flash combined with Natural light’ photography. Brilliantly organised and a real joy to attend. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator conveying the techniques we used and worked through them during the afternoon. Extremely well organised tour of the beautifully chosen natural surroundings of the forrest, lake, trees and flora. Mike combined his knowledge with the gorgeous Irida who modelled outstandingly for us and they clearly had a great working relationship and understanding. A great group of people learning photography as an art, what a way to spend a Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend both beginners and more advanced students attending one of Mike’s courses. Thank you guys. KJ

When I started this insane journey to take pretty pictures I contacted a guy named Mike Croshaw and asked how he did it. He was lovely and so generous he said "why don't we shoot together". That was over ten years ago and based on studio lighting. Having got better with age naturally in recent years mike has been running tutorial days for pay not surprisingly and having moved into daylight shooting a few years back I decided that I would go to one of the few people I trust to know their stuff and whose opinion I value greatly when I get in a rut!

Mike was running a course in the forest with the beautiful IRIDA so it was a no-brainer.

Mike is a great teacher and so humble "this is the way I do it-not saying's right but it's my way" type of stuff. 6 hours of daylight and fill-flash the workshop with some great co-attendees and we had a great laugh. Sorry to say this was his last workshop but if you looking for one-to-one tuition then MIKE is your man. The content was great and despite knowing quite a bit about the subject I learned some stuff-every day a schoolday eh!

Always recommended by me as anyone who cares to ask how I started will have no doubt heard!

Attended Mikes natural light location workshop, Mike is a great tutor polite, patient and very knowledgable, explained about natural light and using flash in such a way, that it was easy to understand.

Fantastic choice of model, Irids did so well.

Great banter with the group, I leant a lot from the course.

An excellent tutorial on modifying natural light and overcoming the difficulties it can throw up by using flash outdoors. An excellent choice of model, a knowledgeable and genial tutor a great location and a super and small group of photographers. Mike was very good in his presentation and use of the model and equipment and managed to herd us into the right places when necessary.

All in all a brilliant day and followed up by processing tips and videos.

I recommend him unconditionally.

last weekend i attended Modelographys location Workshops.I really like the way that these workshops are put together, Not too many attendees, which gives everyone ample time to shoot. Also what works well is the way the workshop flows.It would be easy to just set every thing up and let everyone snap away. Time is taken to explain why certain things are done and what adjustments should be made if needed. I also have to mention the choice of models. Irida was our model for the day and she was a real trooper and perfect for the job.
