References for Jon Downs

Sorry for such a late reference !!

Anyways........what a wonderful photographer!

I messaged Jon a while back asking if he fancied doing a cheeky collaboration at some point, in which he said yes to! (jumps in the air with excitement).

We had a full day of shooting and had decided to have a sort of 'go with flow' style shoot as opposed to having really planned concepts. Jon has quite a random shooting style, but in a really clear and focused manner- it's brilliant.

(I believe that when you first work with someone, you need to get a feel for their working styling, and usually the best ideas come about when you are being experimental.)

We shot from my flat first shooting some boudoir styles/oh la la bits and bobs and then went and had a wonder about Bristol (the weather was lovely, so it made sense to be outside).

Jon is really really talented, so relaxed and easy going, he knows what he wants from the images but doesn't force it. He's enthusiastic, very chatty, passionate and really friendly.

Obviously recommended and I hope to work with him again.

P.S The hub cap is still outside my window :-)

I had a one to one tutorial with this amazing photographer and his model wife Theresa louise

The man is amazing, im a complete beginner and straight away he made me feel at ease, nothing was an issue

From the very start it was so relaxed he instructs in a way which is easy to understand and straight away your getting the results someone like me could only ever dream of, of course this is not possible with out the amazing Theresa who is one hell of a model.

Jon your awesome mate and i cant wait to book some more tuition with you

I got the amazing opportunity to work with Jon and I loved every minute of it! Jon was very welcoming and made me feel at ease instantly.

We shot in his shared studio for a few hours but it in no way felt long enough, we could have carried on for hours more.

Jon has a very original and random way of shooting and it is great fun. He has given me wonderful images and I'd love to work with him again.

I fully recommend Jon to all models out there.

Our 8TH shoot..!! Holy shmokes. It's been a little while since we last shot (Dec 2014) but it didn't feel that way.

Jon booked onto mine and Anna Rose's duo day at my studio and took some outstanding images of us both. I adore them! It was pretty raunchy stuff, but shot perfectly. I can't wait to share the images and see more!

I met Jon back in 2013, when he was pretty new to model photography so it's been hugely interesting to see him progress and his style grow. Jon really is awesome at this photography malarkey and really does have a great eye. His photography just gets better and better and I love working with him. It's a true collaboration and the results are always bloody incredible.! :)

Well...I have lost count at the amount of times I have worked with Jon but what I do remember is that every experience has been EPIC and can not emphasise this enough!!

Jon is an amazing, extremely creative, innovative, slightly bonkers (in a good way) photographer.

This time Jon shot me and Artemis as a duo and what a combination!! The two hours that we had, was filled with laughter, interesting conversations and some of the best imagery I have done.

Jon has this way of bringing the best out of you and perhaps things you my have floating around your head that you will like to shoot but have not had the chance.

This is definitely an experience I will not forget and I am looking forward to our next encounter.

I had the honour of working with Jon one Thursday evening . I have worked with so many photographers over the past few years , but none such as talented as this lovely gentleman . We worked through some superb ideas that myself and Jon thought through . He is truly an inspiration to me as until I recieved those finished images was thinking of giving up modeling . He holds that camera with ease and knows every angle of light that works . Jon is a legend in my eyes ,lots of fun and laid back right from the start of the shoot to the end . It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with Jon

He knows his angles and what works without taking shot after shot instead to capture it in one fail swop is such an excellent skill .

Thank you Jon I will remember that shoot for a long time

I had my second shoot with Jon last week and just as I knew it would be, it was AMAZING.

We got creative with some black tape for one set and the images are outstanding. Just as all the other shots were.

I had an image in my mind and Jon somehow sees in to your mind and magically makes it appear on the camera.

I love Jons work and the creativity he uses to create that 'WOW' shot.

As always Jon is highly recommended by me to all with 5 stars *****

A true pleasure Jon and look forward to next time to create some more whacky and wonderful images.

OMG OMG OMG! This photographer is one of the greatest I have ever met! ♥

1) First of all, many people did recommend to work with Jon. Starting from models and even photographers! I've been told that Jon is one of the most popular photographers on PP. And I am so happy that I had a photo shoot with him!

He is sooooo lovely and down to earth! From the minute one he made me laugh (not because he came with the shorts in the early morning. This guy is just dead funny!) . And we didn't stop laughing until the end of the photo shoot! :)) (oy! even local people love him! In Starbucks he was so welcome! All stuff were so happy to see him!) He is very nice, friendly and easy to work with!

2) CHOCOLATE & LOTS OF COFFEE! This lovely person brought all bag full of stuff! nom nom nom! He really cares about models!

3) Jon's work is very unique. He is having his own style. Also, he is super creative and random (in a good way). We done sooooo many different types of photography in one day! Sooooo many good pictures! Cant wait to see them after editing! By the way! I received few retouched pictures same day! That's very cool! Much easier to wait for other pictures!

4) This dude is absolutely professional. Always respected my privacy, never starred at me or anything like that.

5) Absolutely recommending to work with him! You will have lots of fun and receive beautiful pictures.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jon and shooting with him for the first time! WOW! This man is fantastic! He is such an amazing a lovely character. He is very professional but also such a joy and very fun to work with. His creativity is just brilliant! He is full of marvelous ideas and his images.... well I don't even need to say how amazing this man is! You can clearly see for yourself how super amazing he is!! His comms are brilliant and his energy in the shoot is just fantastic. I can't recommend this photographer enough, if you get the opportunity to work with him then you really will not be disappointed! If anything you will be as chuffed and amazed as myself! I had a totes amazeballs shoot with this dude a couple of months ago.

I got in contact with Mr Downs because I like his random style and wanted to shoot some cool portraits but really we did a mix of lots of awesome stuff at Virtuosity Studio.

Jon is super creative, full of cool ideas, enthusiastic, wears shorts in February and laughs like a maniac.

I had a wicked day working with him and he's sent me loads and loads of lovely images.

I hope we can do it again :)

I had a 1:1 with JD and Theresa and had a fabulous day. Half shooting, half editing.

Jon is down to earth, has a wicked sense of humour, and lots of fun to be around, whilst showing me some new ways of thinking.

I admit it was hard for me to accept some of the interesting creative options, but with some perseverance I think I was getting it by the end of our session. This was down to his relaxed and friendly approach.

He's great at being able to demonstrate his techniques and I'm truly grateful to him (and Theresa) for making it a wonderful day. It was so good, I'm going to have to do it again but on location :)

I finally got to shoot with one of my favourite photographers ever, for the 1st time last week and boy, was Mr Downs on top form!

I'd never met this wonderfully loud and fabulous photographer before but from the start, we instantly got on, he had me giggling throughout with his lovely sense of humour.....Jon is very professional and so knowledgeable with his camera, creating effects I didn't even know existed whilst experimenting with very erotic angles which look just amazing!

The day was truly epic and I couldn't have asked for a more fun & creative shoot, Jon blew me away with his personality just as much as his photography & techniques, he's a truly wonderful dude....thank you so much for working with, when can I come annoy you again??

Highest recommendation peeps, Mr Downs is just out of this world :)

Had my second shoot with Jon a couple of weeks ago. I think the content we shoot is testament to the trust I have in him. He is an amazing photographer who is extremely patient and opened minded to trying new things. He is creative and imaginative which is wonderful for adding something new and exciting in to your portfolio. I feel lucky to call him a friend.

After a very long time of admiring Jon's work we got to work together yesterday and it was very much worth the wait .

Jon made me feel very at ease in his company . He's very funny, down to earth and completely respected my levels . I was a little nervous before hand but that soon vanished as I got chatting to Jon his enthusiasm is infectious. He was so kind to pick me and the Mua up and drop us home .

On shoot we just let the creativity flow and from what I've seen so far I am unbelievably happy with the results!

He is an excellent photographer without being arrogant which is key for me it really is .

It was my pleasure to work with him and I would so work again in a heart beat . Thanks so much Jon for an excellent day .

I had an absolute pleasure shooting with Jon last weekend. He's fun to be around and has a real passion for photography. He was kind enough to give me and our model a lift and kept us fed and happy throughout the shoot :) It was a productive day filled with loud laughs and relaxed chatter ;)

I really like his style and I'm in love with the atmospheric images he produced on that day. Would absolutely wholeheartedly recommend him and would love to work with him again in the future.

Well Jon is rather fabulous as photographers go, creative and daft, just how i like them! We hung out at mine and snapped as much random stuff as we could, rather good results i think ;) He was a bit of a slave driver (making me clean taps etc) but i let him off and happily climbed in my fridge just to please the weird man. Anything for a smile hey ;) So chuffed we managed to finally get together for silly banter and some camera shindiggery. Highly recommended to all humans ;) xxxxxx
