This shoot that we had sorted with the beautiful Marla P was one of the most anticipated shoots of my recent tour.....a truly epic photographer who has the most amazing laugh, with a French sexpot???

HELLL YEAHHHH!!!!

It was inevitably messy and fun as, full of roars of laughter and alcohol....Jon has a way of transforming a very simple room into a fantastical dreamscape in camera, which has never ceased to amaze me - he's captured some of my fave ever shots and is a true legend in his own right, that personality will melt you as soon as you meet him, what an amazing guy!!!

I can't recommend this wonderful photographer enough to ALL - he rocks on so many levels :)

So I shot with Jon during my London visit and it was alright... Nothing to right home about... and the pictures weren't even as good as I thought they would be ;)......

Of course I'm completely joking!.... My shoot with Jon was absolutely awesome!... I would like to say right off the bat that Jon has the best laugh ever!!... Seriously it's awesome!...

But anyway onto the shoot itself, we'd had it booked for months and had a rough plan and such... Jon arrived on time, early in fact, which allowed time for a good chat and a cuppa!... :)

So diving into the shoot all my nerves about shooting with Jon disappeared... and the whole shoot just flowed perfectly!... We got so many amazing shots and worked as such a good team!.. I suggested ideas... so did Jon! And it all worked!...

We had so many giggles it was just awesome...

The shoot was both indoor and outdoor and Jon delivered as a photographer, he is just amazing looking at the space, working with the light and taking stunning images!...

Would I recommend Jon?.. Hell yeah!... It was such an awesome day.... he's so friendly... funny... chatty... the perfect gentleman... fed and watered me.... and he even allowed me to road trip with him ;)

I really do hope to work with Jon again.... The images we shot are amazing!... And Jon is such a genuinely lovely person to spend time with!

I worked with Jon for the second time earlier this week, this time at Virtuosity Studio rather than the great outdoors, so we shot up to topless this time. As the first time pre-shoot comms were perfect, everything was sorted with no fuss, he turned up with coffee and his glass butt plug and the madness began. I love working with Jon for a variety of reasons (in addition to the photographic talent which is just a given really), he's a great laugh, he creates a great atmosphere to experiment and try new shots, doesn't look at me like I'm a f**king loon when I swear (told you I'd slip an F-bomb in this time :P ). And he takes starbucks orders like a real pro too ;) Recommended 100%, thanks a bunch Jon!

Its only been a month since I first worked with Jon and we've worked together twice since so I thought it would be easier to write 3 references at once! One big one is better than 3 small ones! ;)

Well well.... I don't even know where to start!! Hahaha!! I arrived at Milton Keynes station and I was greeted by this giant man in shorts, converse, and the loudest and dirtiest laugh I have ever heard (seriously I am not kidding, I can still hear it my head!!) I thought to myself ''ooh.. this shoot sounds promising''..!! Most shoots starts with a 'warm up' so that the model and photographer gets to know each other a little... well... not our shoot..!!! hahaha!! We skipped all the pretty stuff and went straight for the dirty stuff..!! :O (dirty laugh again..). Our 2nd shoot, we did the opposite... we shot lots of very pretty stuff (Yay!! :) ) and gradually shot more naughtiness (dirty laugh) and our 3rd shoot was very brief, mainly erotic stuff... (and just a little more naughtiness!).. (dirty laugh) Hahaha..!! ;)

Actually.. I'm not too sure what to add that hasn't been said in all the glowing references below mine, so I'll just keep it simple... Jon is okay actually.. he makes good pictures, actually. Knowing how shy he gets with compliments, I'm just going to leave it there.... actually..!!!

The fact that I have shot with Jon 3 times in just over a month and that I already have 3 more shoots booked with him should tell you how much I hate working with him :P Its a good job I live in Scotland or I think he would be sick of the sight of me... actually..!! (one for the road! haha!!)

Well, well, well (3 holes in the ground)! I have now joined the Jon Downs Fan Club! And yup, pretty darn pleased to be here! The huge array of positive refs tell you all ya need to know, so pre-shoot comms= excellent (clear, informative, useful) model comfort top priority and the shoot itself, not sure how to say how flipping brilliant it was!!! Tried loads of different sets and looks with this creative genius! I guess my only issue was that it wasnt long enough... Til next time!! Would I recommend Jon? You bet I would!!

Jon is an absolute sweetheart!!! Apart from being a bloody awesome photographer (I'll try not state the obvious), he is just one of the kindest, nicest and friendliest people I have ever met!

On both occasions that I have worked with Jon, it has been super fun and a great laugh! He is one of those people who make it impossible to not get along with: he has great banter and makes you feel 100% comfortable throughout the shoot.

The last shoot that we did together, I got a little bit upset before the shoot and worried that I was going to be late due to bus failures in the countryside, so Jon came all the way to pick me up from my house (in the middle of nowhere) to drive me to the shoot location, even though it added at least an extra hour onto his journey. I really really appreciated that!!

Of course, the results were wonderful! I would happily work with Jon anytime and would recommend him to anyone.

What can I say about Jon that doesn't involve any swearing?

First off Jon has to be one of the most.....

FUN people to work with, he's got a laugh you could hear from towns over and an absolute killer sense of humour. He's a bundle of joy to have around and it was genuinely one of the most enjoyable shoots I've had.

Secondly, as much fun as Jon is, he is incredibly professional and he gets the shot. We threw ideas around and we tried things neither of us had done before, some I have uploaded are the most loved on my portfolio within hours of them being uploaded.

Thirdly, pre comms, arrival time, edited images being received...all absolutely spot on. Couldn't fault him in the slightest.

Fourthly, just a great man. We chatted between shots, we ate macaroons, we laughed and I couldn't of ask for a more enjoyable day with him. He's genuinely an lovely human being both as a photographer and as a friend. Oh and we both swear like sailors so of course we are bound to get on. I cannot recommend Jon enough to anybody, togs, models, MUA's, you name it I'll recommend him. If you don't have a blast with Jon, you're a boob.

WoooWWWW !!! WoooWWW !!!! Jonnn , Jonn....

I had the second shoot with Sir Jon Downs , this time proper full day., myy myy God ..... and It was just Wonderful!!

Jon came over to Bristol and we spend the whole day walking arround the City, chatting , shooting , coffeing and all that jazz !! ahhh and We couldnt Stop laughing hahahahhahaha :) :) :)

I realy realy Enjoyed the day , Jon is just Fantastic to work with, real pleasure to be arround and I LOVE his creativity. He is very interesting person and very friendly gentleman!!

Later in the day we also shoot in the hotel and we have create even more Awesome piccies....!! :)

Im truely in Love in the Beautiful piccies we have....

I had the pleasure of meeting & working with Jon Downs for the first time yesterday on a 1-2-1 workshop with him and Theresa Louise.

I really can't say enough good things about them both as individual professionals and in terms of how much value and fun the whole day was.

I recommend it for anyone looking to rapidly expand their knowledge, experience and techniques.

Jon was great at being in communication prior to the day, and in arranging dates etc. Jon's friendly and warm character instantly creates a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere to work in.

Jon and Theresa had clearly worked together a lot and their strong working relationship contributed to the smooth running of the day and their ability to deliver real benefit with their workshop.

From the first moment we started shooting till the very last Jon was super generous with sharing himself and his experience, knowledge and techniques.

It was a real pleasure and a privilege and I hope to work with Jon again soon.

I strongly recommend Jon for either models or photographers looking to further their skill set.

Mr. Jon Doowns!!! Such an Amazing person and photographer!!

I had a pleasure to spend 2 days with Jon shooting in Manchester and it was a great time :) . We had lots of fun, and create some Awesome piccies..as You do with that Creative guy!! Every time we shoot is better and better.... Jon is full of ideas and had an unique way to shoot and seeing things!! He also helped me with my crazy photgraphic project!!! Wonderful person to be arround!! Caant wait for ouer next one crazy shoot.... Hopefully Soon!!!!!!

I sent Jon a message asking about a shoot and when he replied to say yes, I did a happy lil dance!

With my huge suitcase of random stuff, we tried several different outfits, looks and styles, each with that awesome Jon Downs look! Shoot was awesome fun, plenty of breaks, happy if I was happy, truly collaborative sharing ideas, with plenty of laughter thrown in for good measure. If you havent had a shoot with Jon yet, book yourself in now! You will be truly blown away!!

Have you ever stood and watched a close up magician, you can see all they do but still can't fathom how they do the magic - well thats like being instructed by Jon (Its is a compliment). Even using a very similar camera, using exactly the same settings, lighting, model, set, everything, his images are still a cut above!

Had the HUGE privilege to invite Jon to spend a few hours at my place and provide me with tutorial instruction. Great pre comms, kindly picked up the model as she had travel issues and arrives bright breezy and full of enthusiasm.

Had a fab few hours, learnt loads and got a ton of great images. Patient, explained things simply, knowledgeable and a good laugh. I have had instructional sessions before but at the end of this it felt like I had more knowledge to create a wider variety of images and a bit more confidence to try things rather than just a hand out of camera settings.

Its always a potential let down when you meet somebody who's work you think is great, this wasn't a disappointment. As others have said, top photographer and all round good egg!

Jon is just AMAZING!

We shot at my home last Saturday for a few hours and even though I was a bit poorly I had such a great time. Jon is so friendly, enthusiastic and really bloody talented! We went through a range of different looks over the shoot and got so many usable/awesome images that I feel sorry for Jon having to go through and choose the best. Jon is really inventive with the techniques he uses, pose suggestions and angles and is hilarious with it too. I've already had a few images back which are simply stunning and even our BOC shot was well received on FB which is never a bad thing. I will be working with Jon again (whether he likes it or not :P) and I highly recommend him to any model. One of my favourite shoots to date!
