Another flipping bloody awesome shoot with Jon, this time at my home!

Jon cast another one of his kooky spells to get the beautiful natural light and you can see from his beautiful images the things he does with. Not afraid to try sonething a but random or new (had a great mini catwalk on my landing- never had anyone use the light here before)!

Great conversation, rip roaring laugh and such fun! Thanks hugely Jon!!! :D

What an unexpected and fantastic way to spend 5 hours on a Saturday. A very last minute shoot, no plans, no pre comms, we shot from the hip. And what a hip it turned out to be! Lost count of how many sets we did. Love how Jon works sharing back of camera, using light, angles and other various magical things.

Pow, wham ,kapow, boooom and lots of holy macaroni.

Loved it ,want to do it again, hold on we have next shoot booked in already!! Cannot wait....

I worked the amazing Jon at my home, we didn't have any plan but flew through sets so quickly and easily. Jon is a magician and can turn any place into an amazing space for some interesting and eye catching imagery.

I loved our shoot and the images and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend him.

What can I say about Jon, apart from amazing!

I'd been a huge fan of Jon's work for ages so decided it was time to send him a message, you can imagine my excitement when he replied and the shoot was booked in the calendar :D

He is absolutely lovely to work with, full of banter and I don't think I've ever laughed that much on a shoot before!

He's professional, friendly, extremely easy to get along with and the images aren't too shabby either :P

100% recommend him to other models and I hope to work with him again soon!

One of my top highlights in 2016.... shooting with this guy!! It was waaaaay long overdue! I had longed to work with john for a long long time and no doubt is still an endless list of models who are desperate to shoot with him.... which is no surprise! His work is breaktaking! What an super imagination! Jon can take something so small and turn into something magical, from experimenting with various angles to using various objects or light in the foreground and simply just capturing those perfect moments/expressions. Great eye for detail and his work is some of the best i still see out there today. I'm still over the moon with the images we captured that day, and I really do hope I can work with Jon again soon.... even if it means I have to join the back of the queue again. I will wait! Haha.

so...... It turned out i had a free slot on my mini tour to mk and i had the opportunity to work with someone of my choosing and who better to cheekily ask last minute than jon downs? When he told me he could squeeze in a shoot i was over the mooooon! i never expected that with his busy schedule and to top it off another awesome photographer drew paul came along. Ive had the pleasure of woring with both in the past so was delighted to get another chance and the fact they were willing to put up with my craziness yet again was great.

Jon is a truely fantastic photographer, in my eyes one of the best so even though it was a last minute decision with no real plan i knew we would get some crackers but apart from the shoot itself his company was superb. I absolutely loved the day, i laughed so hard my belly hurt when i got back and would do it all again in a shot. Jon is one of those photographers you could work with time and time again and know that not only will you get some stonker images but you will have an amazing time too.

This is the second time I've shot with Jon, this guy is just awesome! Funny, knowledgeable and a great tog! Last time we had some very specific ideas beforehand, this time we decided to go with the flow.. And the results are awesome! It was a very rainy day but this didn't put us off nor did it mean Jon wore long trousers! The rain added to the atmosphere we were aiming for and we got some great gritty Noir style images.

I cannot recommend shooting with Jon enough, supremely talented and so much fun.

I recently undertook one of Jon's 1-2-1 sessions as I felt my portfolio needed a bit of a kick in the b*m! Well, the day did not disappoint and was all I expected it to be ... plus more. We worked with the truly stunning, and patient, Theresa Louise and tried a variety of techniques. I definitely found new features and functions on my camera that I didn't even know existed.

Although the images captured could be used without editing, Jon followed up the shoot with a Photoshop session and if I can only remember 25% of what Jon showed me, I know my images will improve 100%.

Jon is a great teacher, more than willing to share his techniques and we had a great laugh throughout the day.

Jon just knows how to catch me in the right light. He knows how to catch me at the right angle. He knows how to catch me at the right moment. He just knows.

We get killer shot after killer shot and make a fabulous team.

Would work again at the drop of a hat and know there are many more to come and i already can't wait for the next.

Spent much of yesterday on the workshop Jon was running, covering his shooting style, techniques and post production. A last minute booking by me and so pleased grabbed the opportunity when my weekend availability changed.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, and learnt a hell of a lot. Jon will insist that he didn't teach us anything, that we all already knew it - that he was just encouraging us to use that knowledge and think differently. Shall certainly be do so in the future. A pretty free form approach, lots of suggestions and tips from Jon during each set - encouraging us to break free of normal photographic convention.

Whole day was relaxed, fun and with a good few laughs thrown in for good measure.

Great venue, hosts and a fantastic model too.

I had the absolute pleasure of Jon Downs hosting a workshop from my home with Theresa Louise as the beautiful model.

The day flowed brilliantly, Jon is an amazing tutor and so relaxed and full of hints, tips and shooting advice.

I believe everybody left with a massive wow factor, the guy is legend and I'm glad to say a friend.

Massive thanks to Sandra who was in charge of Theresa, ironing, tea, coffee, and washing up, thanks Sandra for being a star.

Jon the day was fantastic and your a brilliant tutor, the post processing tutorial after the shoot was so informative.

I have to say, I was blown my mind with this workshop from Jon Downs and Theresa Louise. First I'd like to say a massively thank you to our hosts David and Sandra to be patient and alwayse helps all of us. But what Jon teached us is simply great. In most occasions it was revealing. Jon was extremely patient and clear on what he'd like to explain us.

Theresa was stunning, patient, very well prepared and ultra friendly to help us to get the best picture.

I couldn't stop to reccommend Jon's workshops.

Thank you Jon and Theresa once again (and all my fellow photographers on that day)

I actually think Jon is a superhero hiding his identity behind a humble self-effacing persona. His superpower is to imbue other photographers with a belief in their own abilities, to "Think Different" (sorry Apple), and to use whatever is available or to hand to inject interest into an image. I've tried some of his techniques on my Siamese cat just yesterday, she managed to stay still for a fleeting moment, but I think the cellophane wrap from her Waitrose meat selection box being waved around in front of the lens was a bit much for her.

Anyway, I highly recommend Jon's workshop to anyone looking to learn new techniques, especially in natural light. I thoroughly enjoyed my day in the company of Jon and Theresa Louise, we had a great bunch of photographers and were each given a gift by Jon, which was a bit like Odin giving the Hammer to Thor, because it was so awesome.

Thank you Jon for a well run workshop, and long may they continue.

I would like to personally thank Jon for his sharing his precious time and knowledge with us all on his workshop today. I arrived to be warmly welcomed and shown around the venue, which he took time to explain what he had planned for the day and how we would all achieve what he had set out for us.

I was extremely pleased that there was a stunning venue and model lined up for us, we were shown ways to get images in camera that I only thought possible in photoshop. I was completely blown away with the images that I captured and the way Jon delivered the training, At any point I did not feel left out or that I could not ask a question, which was greatly reassuring for me.

I would certainly recommend Jon for any training or creative needs you have as the course was aimed at all levels of photographers and was certainly great value for money.

Jon and I had been talking about a shoot for a r e a l l y l o n g t i m e ...so I was really looking forward to the day we finally made it happen!! :-)

Pre-shoot comms were really good, exploring location requirements and many ideas for shots. Jon also found the excellent Marla Pandora as our model for the day and the moment the three of us met I just knew it was going to be awesome...

It was!! We quickly got into a really productive flow after looking through a few reference shots which we all loved straight off, so the ideas for each set came thick and fast! ;-)

Jon is really excellent to shoot with - loads of enthusiasm, very easy going and of course outstanding results.

Can't wait until next time. Highly recommended.

Jon as always surpasses any expectations constantly ...even though we never have any particular plans we always fly through loads of different sets and get so much done and we always love what we see in the camera , and today was brilliant....

I always enjoy every shoot with Jon and always the images he comes back with are just excitingly fabulous x
