References for f/8 Studio

This was my first visit to F8 Studio and it was certainly well worth the lengthy journey, I couldn't have been made more welcome by Alley who was a fantastic host for a garden themed shoot with Carla Monaco (who was also outstanding as always).

Alley worked incredibly hard to make certain that we had a wonderful and relaxed shoot, she had put a great deal of work into the preparation of multiple sets and amazing floral props. If there were any adjustments or ideas that we had she was more than happy to advise and assist.

It has to be said that Alley is also excellent at catering and the buffet she provided was brilliant - as mentioned quite correctly in another reference 'a banquet'.and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.

The studio is very well equipped indeed with a wide range of lighting units, soft boxes, grids, reflectors and props etc.

I highly recommend F8 Studio and hope to revisit soon.

Thank you Alley for a great fun day in a supportive relaxed and welcoming environment.

This happened to be my first visit to the F/8 Studio, also a first in meeting the lovely Carla Monaco.

The studio event by Alley, had been planned for the 15th March, luckily just a week before the Covid19 lock down.

Alley had worked extremely hard in making all the headdresses, floral props, etc, for the garden themed sets, Alley was also on hand & happy to advise & assist with the lighting & camera settings if required.

A lovely group of photographers, chatting, sharing camera setups & even shooting ideas, creating a relaxing time.

Alley also supplied a wonderful buffet, wide variety of food, for all tastes ... perfect, also along with Carla Monaco created a relaxing & pleasant photo shoot afternoon.

I hope to be able to visit the studio again in the future.

The studio is well equipped with studio lighting & props, so I highly recommend the F/8 Studio.

I have shot at this venue for a number of years under different names. Today was my first time back at this wonderful studio under the new name F/8 -

Met Paul the new owner and he is great, friendly, very knowledgeable and nothing is to much trouble. There's a lot more props to use than before and the natural light is still incredible. They have removed the paint of the windows which lets in so much more light. It's one of the best studios around and i highly recommend a visit.

First time at f/8 and working with Alley & Paul and had a great time... It was a super group shoot with a stunning model - Alley is really helpful and organised and she has loads of ideas but lets you get on and create your own art... And of course, you can't fail to mention Alley's hospitality, she is so welcoming, tea & coffee is free flowing and lunch is a positive banquet!

The studio is very well equipped with both photography equipment, furniture to shoot with as well as props & outfits. The workshop/groupshoot format works really well, not oversubscribed, with everyone getting a fair timed slot with each set so nobody hogs the floor. Also, everyone discussed and shared their results (which I find very often isn't the case at events like this) It was helpful and enjoyable to see what other people were getting from the same set.

Had a shoot today with f/8 for the first time since being under new ownership, could not have been more impressed with the whole experience!

A great selection of lights and modifiers, fantastic selection of props and seating, beautiful and varied backdrops, and a lovely large space to work in.

I also cannot understate Alley's hospitality; very warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped in, and always on hand to help with lighting and setup if needed.

Overall a fantastic place to shoot, will definitely be back soon!

Haven't visited this lovely little studio for a quite well, and it was great to do so again. Especially is it now comes with the legendary Alley-hospitality! All the tea I could drink, and help with the equipment whenever I needed it - great stuff. Definitely recommended!

I booked a shoot at f/8 Studio with Aimee is Weirdd. All was arranged quickly and efficiently. On the day I had difficulty finding the studio (I'm notoriously expert at getting lost!). Alley was superb and stood on the corner to flag me down - I couldn't miss her pink & purple hair. Her hospitality was second to none - I lost count of the number of cups of tea I drank. The equipment at the studio was superb - a great chance for me to play with bigger softboxes than my own.

Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to F/8, not too hard to find (thanks to the helpful directions), easy parking and well located. Alley welcomed me on arrival and made me feel at home straight away, a cup of coffee in hand we chatted and waited for Em, who was modelling, to arrive.

The studio is well set out with excellent lighting, props, background etc and Alley was really helpful in suggesting sets ups and getting everything in place.

This is an excellent setup, I have booked to come back next month and would recommend this studio without hesitation. Thanks Alley, you are a star!

This was my 1st visit to f8. Ally and em greeted me with smile and warmth and we soon chatted and outlined what there was and I adapted my thoughts to the set up threre and ALly was very positive and helpful with all and adaptable to what was and what was not working. I enjoyed the time there and i am happy with results form the use of the space. Ally communications were great and just right. I thank you and look forward to visiting again. REgards

I had my first visit to F/8 recently for a model day - though I've known Alley for years it had been ages since we saw each other and it was so lovely to catch up at last! Alley was- as always! - just a wonderful host, she really looks after models and photographers in the studio, and knows her lighting for sure providing assistance in set up as well as endless coffee (yay!). The studio is a great space, with lots of options for sets and soo many props and accessories - also enough height for my portable aerial hoop too which is super handy! I definitely recommend F/8 as a space to work in, and Alley as a studio owner, all round star and wonderful person. Hope it wont be another couple of years till I see you again Alley! xx

My first visit to f/8 attending their One Light Workshop. Brilliant learning experience. Thanks to Alley and Paul for all their help throughout the day and to models Lauren and Rose for their excellent work (for eight hours!)

Will definitely use f/8 again. Highly recommended.

I attended a fantastic workshop run by Paul and Alley today, titled "One Light Workshop". During the course of 8 hours myself and 7 other photographers learned how to make the most of just a single light to create striking shots in numerous styles, including clamshell beauty lighting, low key and high key lighting, rim lighting, simulating sun and shadow and many more.

It was truly amazing to see the variety of completely different setups that are possible in a small space with just a single light. The enthusiasm of both Paul and Alley in sharing their creative skills and experience made the day fly by, and it was well worth braving Storm Dennis for such an excellent event.

Alley kept everyone topped up with tea/coffee throughout the day, and a buffet lunch large enough to feed an army was also included, as were the services of two beautiful and talented models (Rose 94 and laurenjoyxxx), making the day amazingly good value too.

I highly recommend the studio, and especially any workshops run by its dedicated new owners, and hope to attend more in the future myself.

Attended a One Light Workshop at f/8 Studio last Saturday run by Paul and Alley. As it suggests it was to show how many different styles can be achieved by using only one light. Have often wanted to see inside this studio and it is spacious and very well equipped.

Paul and Alley were very informative and willing to share their skills with the 8 of us in the group. This was the first time I have worked with professional models and Rose 94 and laurenjoyxxx made it so very easy for a novice like me. Thanks Ladies.

This was my second time visiting f/8 as I am in house model at the sister studio - Pozers, Swindon :)

Lovely spacious studio and Paul, the new owner is equally as lovely too!

Large changing area which is well equipped with a massive make up area full of all sort of things to make your stay there more comfortable! The best thing about this studio is IT'S WARM!!! Yup you heard me! An actual boiler and heating! :)

So many wonderful props there too, I love coming here!

Well-equipped studio with lots of wonderful props to use.

Alley and Paul worked hard to make the shoot a success, moving prop, backdrops’ and lighting around. There quick work helped me to pack a massive amount of work in to the 2 hours I had there.

Alley and Paul are very friendly and there expertise was invaluable to someone like me ho who is still inexperience with studio work

They were massively helpful in guiding me over lighting setups and camera settings.

A brilliant Studio, Hope to use again soon.

What a brilliant shoot I had at F/8 Studios on another Retro Rob and Melany Tour to Kickstart our 2020 tours.

This was my first time shooting at this awesome studio and with the amazing Alley from Pozers Studio as part of the F/8 team along with Paul I knew it was going to be a fantastic day filled with love and support.

This is one studio I definitely will be returning to thank you so much for making me feel so welcome and I can't wait to see you again later this year to create some some more iconic images .

First time working at f/8 studio. I love what hey have done with the place. there are so many options now. And a big high back drop which is good for me because im tall. I came to do the group shoot evening which was hollywood glam. All the photographer where lovely and i really enjoyed the night. Then the next day i had my 1-1 studio day which was also a lot of fun. I cant wait until next time. Thanks for having me!

Had a fun shoot at f/8, greeted by Alley who was helpful. Unfortunately things didn't quite go to plan, but there are plenty of shooting opportunities and lots of equipment and costumes there to use. Recommended.
