Had an enjoyable 2 hour shoot at F/8 Studios with Paul being an excellent assistant. Paul has really put F8 on the map, I used them several times before Paul took over and to be honest it was a waste of time and effort mainly due to poor lighting equipment. Paul has change all that with upgrading the studio lights and taking hold of the studio it can only go from strength to strength it is without a doubt the best Studio in he area which I plan to use in the future. Thanks for all your help Paul see you in 2022.

What a great model she is.

The studio has everything a photographer could want. Especially Pauls great knownledge regarding lighting.

A great experience all round.

I had my first studio day at f/8 Studio where I was hosting my studio day and I'm definitely coming back next year (if Paul lets me..) ;)

Paul was incredibly accommodating and welcoming throughout the whole day. He picked me up from the station and drove me back once my shoot was finished which was greatly appreciated! He also made sure I was warm, happy and hydrated while offering all sorts of teas!! His selection of tea is really impressive!

The studio itself is absolutely amazing. It's got a great space, multiple backdrops and a lot of props and clothes! Paul has been around all day and was helping out photographers with lighting set ups, backdrops and was suggesting what could work with their ideas, however he also let the photographers do their own thing and didn't interfere with their ideas which was really nice to see!

I really enjoyed my studio day in f/8 studio, Paul made it super fun with a lot of jokes, laughs and interesting stories he had to tell. Thank you so much for a fabulous time and looking after me! :)

An excellent shoot at F8 with Joanna, Paul had already partially set up the backdrop for me as I walked into the studio, the new Broncolor lighting is superb, Paul was great in assisting in moving the lights etc as I needed as they are large and heavy, nothing was to much trouble.

Highly recommended and I'm sure I'll use the studio again soon

What a cool studio and what a lovely host Paul is!

I held a studio weekend at F/8 this weekend just gone and it was flawless. The studio it self is fully equipped with everything you'll ever need for a fab shoot. Paul is a great host and such a laugh, nothing was too much for him.

Organisation of the weekend was spot on and i just had the best time ever there, we've already booked in the next!

I very highly recommend the studio to all!

It’s always an absolute pleasure shooting at f8 studios!

This was a group tutorial, run by Paul (the owner). Very well organised, props and outfits in plenty supply, direction from Paul excellent (as always) and the banter even better.

Paul goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and build rapport, and has your back with other photographers around too, which on a group shoot, is really important.

This was my first visit to f/8 studio under the ownership of Paul.

I booked the studio for a 4-hour shoot with Skye Eirwen Kreed and my shoot plan included quite an eclectic mixture of sets with a wide variety of lighting requirements.

Paul was very helpful in pre shoot communications and very accommodating on the day. I had prepared sample images of what I wanted to achieve, and Pauls amazing lighting knowledge and experience enabled him to easily set up the lighting that enabled me to capture the images that I was looking to achieve. Without Pauls expert help I would have only achieved a fraction of what was actually achieved on the day.

The selection of equipment and props available at the studio is enormous and amazing.

Pauls easy going personality and his knowledge of both photography and studio lighting were invaluable to what was a thoroughly enjoyable and very successful shoot.

Thank you so much Paul and I thoroughly recommend f/8 as a top studio to use.

This was my first visit to Paul at f/8, with Melanie Bond, I've been using a DSLR for a couple of years now but Paul showed me a setting change when I was struggling with the white balance on my Nikon, he set me up so that my camera settings matched the Kelvin values of his lighting and the results I got amazed me, if Paul was closer to where I live I'd be asking to join in some of his events. Thanks again Paul for all your help and the chuckles too!

Today was my second visit to f/8 Studio, having previously done a lighting workshop here just before the pandemic struck, but I don't think it will be my last ;-)

One slot became available at the last minute for a studio day with the fabulous Alicia Black, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to try something new with her (and help ensure her day remained a fully-booked success), having shot with her many times in the past, mainly in home shoots at her apartment.

I haven't done much studio work yet, so today was very different for me, and I have to say a real pleasure :-) Paul was very friendly and welcoming and couldn't have been a better assistant to have on hand (at no extra cost!) to help me achieve the looks I wanted. I came armed with a mood board illustrating some high-key and low-key lighting setups for classic art nude shots and with only a brief opportunity to look at my ideas Paul was straight on it with arranging the lighting for exactly the look I was after. It would have taken me hours to get the results I wanted, so I wouldn't have got far on my own in a two hour session like this, but with Paul's expert help we nailed them all and still had time for a lovely portrait shot at the end too, again with a lighting setup reverse-engineered by Paul from a single photo that I had for inspiration! :-)

This well-run and well-equipped studio comes highly recommended from me. If you're an experienced studio-shooter then all the gear you need is here (because Paul insanely (or wisely!) invested in loads during the pandemic), and if like me you're new to it all then Paul's just the man to help you make the most of your time :-)

This was my 3rd visit to F/8 Studio, on this occasion .. the Alica Black model day.

The studio had the perfect supply of props to use for the photo session & full day of Alicia's modeling.

F/8 studio has all the lighting that is required to create the photgraphers ideas, also there is natural light ... if that's what maybe required.

Studio owner Paul helped with shoot ideas, props & lighting ... all this while supply coffee, tea, refreshments if required.

Hopefully I will be visiting the studio again soon.

Highly recommended.

Had my first visit to f/8 Studio today. Loads of space and all the equipment I could ever need. Paul was also on hand to help and offer much needed advice. A very relaxed and enjoyable afternoon which flew by. Will definitely be visiting again and looking forward to attending some of Paul’s workshops. Highly recommended.

My first visit to F8Studio since Paul has acquired it. He’s invested in some top rate kit and props but I reckon that Paul himself is the studio’s biggest asset. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable with a relaxed style and for sure takes some cracking photos himself! I’m looking forward to working there with him again.

Whilst in the Gloucestershire area I always take my bookings to F/8 and am never disappointed- Paul and the studio were great as ever- nothing is too much trouble and he has so so many props and accessories he's happy to lend out to help achieve the vision we have as creatives. I attended one of Paul's Bottle Photography workshops and it was superb! Paul taught me so much regarding using basic studio lighting techniques that will be of real benefit when I'm shooting back home with my own kit. And many of the techniques would also help when working with people.

He has an easy going and somewhat laid back manner all helped with the learning environment.

I'm looking forward to my next trip to the f/8 Studio and I thoroughly recommend both Paul and his studio.
