F/8 is an incredible studio to shoot in. Alley & Paul are very helpful, with everything from camera settings to lighting to posing models. Nothing is too much to ask of them.

Had my first studio day at f/8 studio last weekend and it was amazing! Alley is one of the most accommodating person I've ever met, picked me up and dropped me off at the station, provided accommodation, made sure I always had enough food and drink during the day, and always looked after me and the photographers while we were shooting. The studio looks great, plenty of props and countless outfits, costumes and accessories to use. Also great backdrops and lots of space.

Would gladly go back anytime!

Had my first studio shoot ever other than my own at f8 Paul was very friendly and helpful. The studio has lots of props and equipment. Paul also helped me with the camera as I had probably unwisely only just got it and thought it would be the same as my old one , When sorted we had a great shoot relaxed and I got some great images. I would recommend this studio to anyone.

I've shot at F/8 many times before but this was the first time that I met Paul, the new co-owner. It was a real pleasure and privilege to meet Paul, who was on hand the whole time to help the photographer with his lighting set up and camera settings.

Paul also contributed some great ideas and props for our shoot. All his input was really welcome and ensured we had a really enjoyable and productive shoot.

I love working at F/8 - it is my favourite local studio. It's a super space with all the latest kit you'd hope to find plus lovely natural light streaming in through the industrial windows

Thank you so much Paul for another great shoot and I look forward to being back at F/8 this Sunday with Retro Rob! :)

Attended a one light workshop with Alley and Paul. Very informative and some great Ideas. The models Lauren and Rose were very professional and friendly throughout the day. It was a pity Paul had to disappear half way through the day though. Really good session all told and food provided was great.

Had my first shoot at F8 with Tillie Feather. I wasn't disappointed. Great space with lots of natural light and a great infinity wall. Of course Alley was on hand to do the lighting and keep us going with hot drinks. A good studio space made great through Alley's presence and expertise.

I had a great afternoon at f/8 with Alley and Tillie Feather.

Alley is a great help - warm, friendly, makes endless cups of tea, is both knowledgeable as well as great help with studio lighting and anything else you ask of her.

At the same time Alley also melts in to the background when not required - so does not interrupt the photographer-model relationship.

The studio is equipped with a good selection of backgrounds and a huge array of lights and light modifiers.

There is also ample parking just outside the studio.

I would recommend the f/8 studio to everyone.

Had a great group shoot as set up by Alley, shooting is with Lauren-Joy – whereas Alley set up a “Gold” theme shoots. It is an impressive studio with everything you could ask for and no end of kit to use. Both owner – Alley and Paul and are both professional, accommodating, courtesy and hard working. I’m very pleased that I attend and will do again and again !!! Highly recommended.

I worked at f/8 Studio during a tour of the South-West when I was due to be working with a photographer I knew quite well and we were looking at potential venues we could use in the local area whilst I was around in Gloucester and we had the chance to fix something.

It was John the photographer who did all the arranging and communicating for the booking - but from what I knew from my side: Paul at the studio was on-the-ball with comms as we were trying to coordinate times based on my travels and ability to get there after other bookings the same day and I always heard back really quickly so fair play! :D This highly accommodating and professional approach continued through to the day itself and Paul who runs and oversees the studio was genuinely the star host and everything that you would hope when you hire a space. He was attentive and helpful when any kind of assistance was needed, but then stayed out of the main studio to let us get on with it and just shout if we needed anything. This is definitely the best way to operate because; especially when you know what you want to crack on with (John and I do tend to!) then you can focus on getting into the creative flow on a one-to-one basis that is best for rapport purposes.

The studio itself is a terrific space with bountiful opportunity for making nice photos... There are huge windows (characterful of the building) which let it loads of light for you’re wanting to do natural light work. But there’s also a good stash of professional equipment and classic studio backgrounds for working on the more controlled styles of photography. There are props galore, a nice private changing and makeup space for the models, tea/coffee facilities and even a rail of clothes of their own! It’s suited for all-purposes; whether you’re a model and photographer group hiring it out for your own independent working, or you’re going to shoot directly with Paul... It ticks all the boxes and is somewhere I felt totally comfortable working and would recommend to others in a heartbeat. :)

I really hope to be back in the future and cannot thank Paul enough for his friendly welcomeness that I was met with upon arriving - plus the spot-on service he continued to deliver until our shoot was finished.

Ooh, there is parking on site for anyone travelling by car too! :)

Another great session set up by the ever bubbly and fun Alley. Her enthusiasm for all things photography is inspiring. This time Alley had set up a fitness shoot at Evolution Fitness Gym, a new venue and a new type of shoot for me. Lighting, food, and models were all lined up as is always the case where Alley is involved. It was a great day with lots of fun and assistance when needed. Alley gave me my introduction to studio work earlier this year and has taught me so much I'd highly recommend Alley to any photographer or model.

My first visit to f/8 and I was most impressed. Although the space is compact it's well equipped with an excellent range of lights and modifiers and plenty of props. Great natural light too. Alley was very welcoming and was a great help with lighting advice. Recommended.

A superb shoot earlier today @ F8 Studio, Paul kindly ensured the studio was warm right from the start, very easy going, plenty of refreshments etc, loads of kit to use, on hand if needed but kept out of the way.

Some things understandably have changed, and Paul's got plans to add more backdrops etc, we just made good use of the white walls, highly recommended.

I have used f/8 a couple of times now, once on one o Alley’s fine events, when her preparations on themes, costume and makeup are meticulous.

The second was for a slot on Ayla’s studio day when Alley’s assistance with the lights helped keep the shoot rolling along.

Great kit, excellent backgrounds and props, spacious and friendly.

I visited f/8 studio for the first time to attend a model day with the beautiful Ayla. Pre-shoot communication was excellent and I was interested to see how the studio had evolved since my previous visit under the new ownership of Alley. I was extremely impressed with the work that has been done to date and also the future plans. The event was expertly run and it clear that both Alley and Ayla were very used to working together to produce an excellent model day experience for the photographer. Throughout, my two hours, Alley was on hand to create a whole range of lighting set-ups. She is clearly an enthusiast and keen to demonstrate different and contrasting lighting techniques which I found to be very informative. Thank you Alley for all your hard work to ensure the shoot ran smoothly and I look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks time. Highly Recommended.

Another great shoot at F/8! This time shooting Ayla, as usual everything you’d need is there. It’s a great space, plenty of room and no end of kit to use. I can't think of anything that you couldn't shoot at F/8 Alley was there who’s alway's good fun and after very little sleep the night before, kept my coffee levels topped up! Great shoot, really pleased with the resulting images, Highly recommended !

Great space, loads of fabulous natural light to play with.

Lighting equipment is all Bowen's so good solid equipment, diffusers to your hearts content.

Highly recommended.
