References for f/8 Studio

Shot at F/8 studio studios today with Jennifer Bardsley.

Paul was very welcoming and friendly.

He was very un-intrusive, offering help and advice when requested, but otherwise keeping to himself.

The studio was clean, if not exactly tidy but this was mostly due to Paul's huge selection of props. Everywhere you looked there was something to inspire a theme for another set!

Lighting collection was excellent together with all sorts of modifiers, and all flashes worked seamlessly with my Panasonic camera. (When used with a trigger desgined for Fujifilm camera! Top tip Paul!)

The results we achieved from the shoot far surpassed by my own and Jen's expectations. We are both delighted with them.

I wouldn't hesitate to shoot at F/8 again.

Wow!! This was my first shoot back at F/8 since lockdown and it did not disappoint. Firstly it was lovely to see Paul, the studio owner again and secondly to see all the amazing shoot props he has bought!

Paul has a real eye for creative props so you can expect a lot of quality items to choose from at this studio. Anything I asked him for he had!

As always Paul was on hand to help in any way he could. If you're looking for a studio that is well equipped, friendly and helpful and has an abundance of props, clothes, material and accessories - then look no further.

Very highly recommended :)

I was over the moon that my first booking back at a studio was at f/8. Its without doubt one of my favourite studios to work at, Paul is always on time and hes an abolsute great studio owner - hes always ready and happy to help photographers with moving heavy equiptment, changing backdrops and pops his head in to ask if we need anything every now and again.

His studio is well equipped, with all the lights youd need to create almost any style! He has a tremendous amount of props - from coloured mannequins to a shoe shaped chair! Its almost impossible to run out of ideas when youre inspired by so many different props and different items to pose on/with.

Paul is always smiling and its hard not to get along with him! Hes always shown nothing but respect to me and any photographer that books me there. He asks beforehand if theres anything he can do to be extra prepared for the day of the shoot, which is super helpful and saves time when we do arrive.

Theres a nice changing room with a big mirror, the bathroom is always clean and the kitchen is always clean and the fridge stocked with water and milk for tea.

I look forward to returning on Sunday for another shoot, i expect ill be seeing alot of f/8 over the next couple of months... and i cant wait :D.

Another vote for f/8 Studio!

Had a fabulous shoot with KatyB on Tuesday, and found a great deal to like. Broncolor lights and modifiers are first class, and there is a staggering choice of backgrounds and props to be used. Paul is a first-class host, always on hand when needed but never in the way, and he makes a cracking cup of tea :-). Nothing is too much trouble, as others have said, and it's very unlikely that Paul won't be able to find whatever you need! In short a great place to shoot - highly recommended.

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

Had a fabulous remote shoot with Tinkerbella today. It was my second time of shooting with her so I knew that I was going to have a great time and get the results that I was after. She was at F8 studio and Paul assisted for anything I wasn't able to do myself such as sorting out the set and lighting from my instructions. Thank you both for a fab couple of hours and I hope we can repeat at some time in the future. Best wishes Jann

Had a remote shoot today with tinkerbella. Paul was so helpful, nothing was too much for him, really nice to talk to and loved the studio how it was set out and good selection of lighting and equipment, very happy.

Had a great first remote shoot at F8 Studio yesterday, with the wonderful Tinkerbella! Paul was a great host and provided clear and concise instructions at the start to get me up and running and within minutes I was controlling his camera and shooting away. He then assisted with lighting set up, which we was very knowledgeable about, and any camera adjustments that I couldn't control remotely and ensured that everything ran very smoothly and we got some great images! Thank you both for converting this 'remote sceptic' and giving me an idea of what can be achieved.

Did a shoot here the other week. Paul was great and the space is fantastic. The equipment and set content we had access to was also fantastic. I highly recommend the studio for people to use.

Worked with Paul for the first time on Saturday and had such a great time- it really did fly by! Paul is very bubbly and easy to get along with, and has a well-kitted out studio. Shot plenty of different types of images, even ran out of time, but certainly did not run out of ideas and I look forward to the next one!

I've worked in the space before - but Paul has transformed the place, with a real feel for what photographers (and models) need, and simply the most awesome lights I have ever worked with!

He's helpful, low-key competent... But the competence level is through the roof: he's a working photographer, so he gets it. And the quality of the tea matches the lights: 'nuff said...

A joint shoot with a friend and Simone H today was an absolute delight: I can't recommend Paul and f/8 highly enough.

Had my first shoot at f8 studio today, It won't be my last. A really excellent, well thought out and superbly equipped studio with the added advantage of some beautiful natural light. Paul is really friendly, super helpful and he makes a lovely cuppa.

An easy 100% recommendation. I look forward to working there again.

My first shoot at F/8. I arrived early and Paul made me very welcome. He is very easy to talk too, he added lots of ideas and managed all the lighting at this group shoot. The studio is not the biggest, but it offers lots of opportunities with large windows, plenty of lights, backgrounds and props.

A very enjoyable 3 hours.

F/8 is definitely a studio that is going places! Paul makes a huge effort to make people feel welcome and ensure they get the pics they want. It's a super studio for photographers who are starting out and need a bit of extra help, but also for more experienced photographers who want to make use of the natural light and latest super dooper Broncolor lighting kit that Paul has just bought.

Can't wait to be back to what is undoubtedly my closest studio and one of my firm faves! Very highly recommended.

What a great studio f/8 is!

Paul is fantastically helpful both before and during the shoot and made sure both Mel and I had everything we wanted. As a newcomer to 'proper' studio lighting Paul gave a lot of support and suggestions and really took the time to help us get the lighting set ups right, as well as changing backgrounds, setting up booms etc. I got far more out of the day as a result.

The studio itself is amazingly well equipped. The lights are top of the range and the modifiers are brilliant. Paul is also gathering a wonderful range of props and creative pieces that make a shoot really good fun.

I will definitely be back!

Ahh what a day.

After being fantastically late due to car issues, which Paul was lovely about, we were off!

This studio has absolutely everything and the lights are to die for! From back drops, to props, to wardrobe Paul has thought of literally everything and in case you didn't think the deal was sweet enough Paul will go out of his way to make you're happy and have what you need.

Thoroughly recommended! :)

Shot here on Rosie Flames studio day and have to say I'm massively impressed with the changes Paul has made at the studio. Lights, modifiers, backgrounds and props are all now top rate. Paul is a great host, happy to assist when asked and then leave you to get on with it. Very much looking forward to seeing how the studio grows in future.

We attended f/8’s studio day with the lovely model Rosie Flame. The studio is well-equipped with great lighting, furniture and a wealth of quirky props. Paul was very accommodating - and happy to help with setting up the lights and sets. We’d definitely use f/8 studio again.
