I have always been interested in photography, I used to develop and print my own black & white.  Since taking the opportunity to retire early I invested in a decent digital SLR and started taking pictures.  Some years ago I joined a local camera club to find out what other amateurs were doing. Here I learned how to create good quality prints and to improve the composition of my images. I do not seek the recognition of titles and awards (life's too short) but I have had some of my pictures exhibited at the Welsh Salon of Photography.  In 2014 I had my own exhibition of my work at my sister's art gallery in France.

I take my photography seriously yet at the same time like to have a laugh.  If it's not fun then it's time to find another way to spend my time - having done a couple of deals with the Grim Reaper I don't know how many more I'll get away with!  I don't have the patience to sit in a hide in the cold and damp for hours on end so wildlife is out.  I love landscapes, but without a figure in them I find that they look empty.  I have had studio and location shoots with dozens of models, each bringing something different to the shoot.  I get a real buzz out of working with a model to produce an image that we are both pleased with.  I have always wanted my pictures hanging on the walls of my house and now I have them, but there's still space for more...
