References for f/8 Studio

Had a shoot at Shadow Studio today - it was my first proper shoot there, but definitely won't be my last. The studio boasts lots of different props, backdrops and, best of all, natural light (something that I'm not used to in studios). I absolutely loved being able to work with the sunlight coming through the window, we definitely picked the right day to work here, as it came in leaving a gorgeous dappled effect on the wall.

Hannah and Mark are very accommodating and helpful, even asking us if we wanted a hot drink upon arrival. They were on time and very professional.

I would definitely recommend the studio, it's gorgeous, spacious and run by two very lovely people! 100% recommended, can't wait to come back & thank you for having me!

These guys knock it out of the park when it comes to being willing to make sure you have everything you need (with in reason of course, asking for a DB5 was probably a bit much)

Mark and Hannah are just lovely people and when you mix that with a great space, you cant ask for much more. I had visited their studio a couple of times before shooting last week with Sally. We were shooting art nudes, without a word Mark and Hannah left us to it, true professionals. Looking forward to shooting there again and running workshops in the near future.

Had an amazing shoot today in shadow studio, was met at the door and welcomed buy both Hannah and Mark. Then we went in to the beautiful space that is shadow studio. With almost every prop/piece of furniture you could think of available as well as load of lights and reflectors I felt confident as soon as I walked in it was going to be a good shoot. One of the main reasons Shadow studio works so we is its access to natural light allowing for both soft light and hard shadows. The Final reason I will definitely be returning is the amazing owners Hannah and Mark who not only are super friendly but have a lot of knowledge. Was a joy to work in this easy going creative space and would definitely recommend!!!

Wow! A first shoot for me today at Shadow Studio & what a pleasurable experience it was. We had a very warm welcome from Hannah & Mark, who really couldn't do enough to help us throughout our time in the studio. Close at hand to help with moving props, sorting backdrops etc but not intrusive in any way.

Wonderful cups of tea! (Thank you so much Hannah) & muffins, can't say fairer than that.

The studio itself has ample parking, always a bonus, & is a really delightful space to shoot in - light, airy, clean & well equipped, together with a changing area. It was also lovely & warm which was much appreciated when we were shooting art nude.

Hannah & Mark themselves are the loveliest couple you could hope to meet & I was very impressed both with their professionalism & their studio. I can't wait to shoot there again. If I had to give marks out of 10 it would have to be 11**! The highest possible recommendation from me, thank you both, see you again soon I hope :-)

Nice little studio, easy to work in and the new owners are looking to develop it more. I little tricky to find and park but that's not their fault.

First time at Shadows Studios and it was did not disappoint and I had a great shoot due to the welcoming host and facilities.

Hannah is a really lovely young woman and a great host. Hannah looked after both the model and I on the day with both drinks :) and technical assistance. Its a great place to shoot both with the studios lights or natural light.

There is also ample parking which is great as not all studio's have this luxury.

Thanks Hannah for being so welcoming, the shoot flowed smoothly thanks to you :).

Had a great shoot at Shadow Studio last Friday. I had used the studio before when it was run by the previous owners and what a transformation for the better. Well done to Mark and Hannah. They have opened out the space making it much brighter for natural light through the large windows and put down a good new wood effect flooring and new backdrops. I don't do a great deal of studio work but Mark was very helpful and patient so photographers like myself should feel well supported at Shadow Studio. I will plan a shoot with Hannah there soon - a great asset to have her available as resident model and a very handy plan B if a booked model cannot make the shot at the last minute. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of meeting Hannah and Mark today at Shadow Studios. Both were so friendly and welcoming and amazing hosts in Shadow Studios. It's a fantastic place to shoot, with wonderful natural light pouring through it's windows. Both Hannah and Mark were at hand for the lighting and change of backdrops. Coffee was served with a smile too! Thoroughly recommend!

I had a shoot today, first time visiting this studio, highly recommended, friendly, warm, well equipped. It provided a great place to shoot, with welcoming and helpful advice if and when needed. I was able to experiment with lighting as a result highly likely to return.

I had a shoot at 5he studio in Gloucester today with Hannah.

It provided a great set-up, with a nice range of range to use with or without the diffused natural light coming out of the windows

We enhanced the light & space to suit the tone of the photography, all thanks to plenty of white floor space & head room for those over-head angles.

They provide you with tea & coffee to keep you going and are happy to provide support for any level of photographic experience.

I have booked the studio again next week, and know exactly what space & angle to use during the shoot at Shadow Studio.

This afternoon I returned to Shadow Studio for a shoot with co-owner Hannah to see what changes had been made since the change of ownership and my last visit in 2016. I was made extremely welcome by Mark and Hannah and had the added pleasure of also meeting Jasmine. This studio has certainly been transformed, with new flooring, white paint on the walls to reflect the available light. It has a range of props that are now all neatly arranged and accessible. Mark was always on hand to assist with lighting and to help move props into position. The couple also briefed me on their future plans and if they are able to gradually implement them this studio will go from strength to strength. Thank you both for hosting a most enjoyable shoot. I plan to return later in the year. Highly Recommended

Shadow Studio is an absolutely fantastic place to hold a shoot. It is well equipped and spacious. What really makes Shadow a great studio is the professional attitude of the owners, Hannah & Mark, who manage to combine technical ability with a friendly welcoming and helpful manner. Hannah is far more than a pretty face as she brings knowledge and experience to her modelling role as well as an understanding of the technical elements of studio photography. Mark is absolutely brilliant as an accomplished studio professional, his knowledge of lighting and photography is extensive, any studio would benefit from his input. Their future development plans are exciting and I feel sure they will become an aspirational destination.

Top of my list as a place to shoot. Great space, very good hosts and really nice genuine people. Mark & Hannah listen and take on board comments to improve the studio to make it a place you want to return to.

I worked with Hannah for the first time recently. We had a really delightful and creative art-nude shoot in Shadow Studio, Gloucester.

The Studio was ideal for the shoot giving oportunities and space to work with natural light and studio flash. Everything went well and we explored a number of ideas. Hannah is a very relaxed, capable model and so easy to work with. Delightful company and chatty especially after a cup of coffee! She has eyes and hair to die for!

Mark was on hand to help with the lighting.

Highly recommended both Hannah and the Shadow Studio and hope to work together again in the future.

I had the pleasure of shooting with John in this gorgeous studio. During my three hours I was offered hot drinks (very grateful as it was a very cold evening!). The studio co owner, Hannah, was very helpful taking me to the room and getting me settled in. The owners popped in occasionally to check how we were which was very thoughtful. I'm also grateful for the heater they had in there, it was lovely and warm and I sat in front of it durinf the breaks! Couldn't recomend this studio enough. 10/10 for me😁

I visited shadow studio this past Weekend,I was shooting with Hazard kitty,who us also one of the new owners,the studio is a fantastic place,the natural light is just beautiful,streaming in through 3 very large Windows.There is also plenty of lighting equipment to.

Mark and Hannah are super hosts,always on hand to move sets and lighting and provide drinks.

It's easy to find and get to.

They are so full of enthusiasm and you can see they love what they do and have a real passion for the studio and they were telling me all the things they have planned for the future,and I for one can't wait.

I will definitely be going back.

Highly recommended by me.

Had a short 2 hour shoot with Lucy ant the studio. I continue to be impressed with the improvements Mark & Hannah are making, particularly the new flooring which is a vastly better than before. It provides a very useful space for "overhead" shots. Mark & Hannah are lovely and very helpful. A highly recommended studio with lots going for it.

Great welcome from the team and I love what they have done with the makeover. I had shoot with Laylalee and Scarlett Blaze on their duo studio day

The studio is so well laid out you can change to a new set with minimum fuss. Great light and help is available when needed.

They have plans to make more changes and I look forward to my next shoot in December

I honestly can't believe this is the first time I have visited shadow studios - I loved it!

They held a duo day for myself and Layla Lee, the owners were very welcoming, helped with bags and never let us get thirsty or hungry, lots of tea and biscuits - Great hosts.

The studio appears spacious with equipment and lots to keep yourself occupied so the day went very quickly.

They were also kind enough to drive us back to the train station after.
