I am an amateur photographer with over 40 years of experience.

I only shoot on Black and White film and only print on Black and White analogue (traditional darkroom) paper.

At no point in the whole process do I use any electronic editing (so no photoshop et al) – as any editing that can be done is done in the darkroom.

This makes the whole studio shooting session slower – which I have been told makes for an interesting and pleasant shooting experience for the model.

I like to come well prepared with prints of ideas of what I would like to achieve, which I discuss with the model and based on what interests us both, we go from there. I want the shoot to be a collaboration of the models and my ideas.

I am influenced by many photographers such as Bill Brandt, David Bailey, Helmut Newton, Patrick Demarchelier, George Hurrell and Duffy - to name just a few.
