References for Ballerina Erica Mulkern

I had my second shoot with Erica at the Boardroom in Derby yesterday I have wanted to photograph a ballerina 1-2-1 for sometime she is a lovely person and a great dancer/model to work with, I wanted to capture some classic ballet poses and jumps which she performed effortlessly she is an easy person to chat too and I would defiantly work with Erica again.

First time meeting Erica and she is a wonderful person to talk to, very patient and easy to get along with. This made things a lot easier and more relaxed as i was finding my way with the studio lighting and old camera i had to use!

Professionally she knows what she is doing with posing and thankfully understood what i was trying to describe!

Erica is hard working and always willing to help get the shot you want, even if it means many re takes!

It's Sunday Morning and I'm heading to Inspire Studios in Salisbury and I'm very excited because I will be spending a few hours taking pictures of Erica! Everything is brilliant: comms, outfits, shoot plan, Siaran running the studio and at the end of it I head home with some awesome photographs - What's not to like :-)

Erica is a star to work with: she shows great poise, shaping, her jumps are the stuff of legends and and she makes so many wonderful shapes it's a joy to behold. She is also an actress, choreographer, producer and a creative force.

We shot so many different styles today and each time Erica nailed it. I can't wait for the next shoot (already booked). If you haven't booked time with Erica then you missing a truly wondrous experience.

This was my first shoot with Erica which was at her studio day at Inspire Studio. She was ready with great make-up when I arrived. We were shooting classic dance moves and retro portraits. Erica is a supreme dancer, having performed world wide, and I was absolutely delighted with the pictures of dynamic dance movement and shape. Her experience is world class being able to fine tune complex shots to get just the right image. I was experimenting with some creative lenses and Erica was kind and patient while I was getting grips with all the manual settings, I found Erica a delight to work with and so interesting that the time just flew by, I really look forward to working with Erica again in the future and I recommend her most highly.

My first, and wont be the last, shoot with Erica was a huge pleasure. She is highly experienced, professional and enthusiastic and it was so easy to get some beautiful shots. I tend to go with the flow on a shoot and she was happy to go with whatever I suggested enthusiastic to get the best out of it. She is easy going, and very pleasant, altogether a lovely young lady and I will happily work with her again. Highly recommended

Wow, wow and wow doesn’t even sum up the last 3 days with Erica! Had the pleasure of her company while she did 3 studio days at Inspire and apart from being an awesome model/dancer she is a pretty awesome human being too. She is such a lovely young lady and great fun to be around too. Her work ethic is second to none and the epic shots she creates with each photographer are amazing. I got one had the best shoot with her and she nailed the ideas straight off. I cannot recommend Erica enough and you’ll be very sorry if you miss out on shooting with this talented lady.

Erica has been on my list of ballerinas to shoot with for some time. But not I’m my area but as soon as if found she was in my area jumped at the chance.

We concentrated on ballet poses. Erica arrived with a large collection of floaty dresses and toto’s. Erica is such a great ballerina hit the pose every time first time so a great collection of images.

Erica is an absolute pleasure to work with and hope to get another opportunity in the future. Either next time in my area or if I travel up north.

I had an all-too-brief shoot with Erica yesterday. Wow!

You've seen all the superlatives in Erica's 255 previous references; I can't add anything new - she really is THAT good! - so I apologise for making similar observations... Erica is highly skilled, highly experienced, ultra-creative, enthusiastic and energetic, and she's a whizz with styling and make-up. Her skill and creativity are such that if I threw a very rough idea at her, she picked up the idea and ran with it and gave me a sequence of beautiful pictures. Brilliant!

On top of all that Erica has a sparkling, totally unpretentious personality - definitely no Diva! - and a great sense of humour, so the shoot was not only highly productive but also hugely enjoyable.

Would I recommend Erica? Well; let's put it like this... I've already started nagging her for an all-day shoot when she's next in my area. Can't wait!

It was back in May when I saw that Erica was going to be at Inspire Studios down in Salisbury this October, and although it seemed such a long way off at the time, I didn't hesitate to book my place. I'd long admired her beautiful dance imagery, so it made sense to treat myself to an hour or two with this amazing young lady when the opportunity arose, and I wasn't disappointed. I know my limitations, especially when it comes to experimenting with anything out of my comfort zone; but in the short time we had, and with Erica's willingness, I was really pleased with how things went and with what we achieved. I can honestly say that Erica is a pleasure to shoot with, and she is such a lovely person too. I'm very much hoping this first time together won't be our last, and I'm pretty certain it won't be.

Having worked with Erica last year jumped at a chance to work with Erica again (though I can't jump as high as Erica). The amazing leaps and jumps Erica is capable of a true professional ballerina. Also we also shot some contemporary dance as well. A great selection of varied outfits.

Looking forward to next shoot together and only 2 months to wait for my first location dance shoot.

Erica is easily one of the best people I've worked with. She's organised, has creative ideas, can pose like no-one else, very well-presented and fun to shoot with.

We'd agreed on a Halloween shoot, assembled a team and had many constructive conversations about how to make it work ranging from locations, timing, props, clothing, etc. It was great to see it all come together on the day.

Erica had been on my 'want to shoot with' radar for a while, so it was great to finally get the chance at a group shoot at Prestwold Hall. Erica is very professional and is a joy to work with. It was a full day event and Erica worked really hard for us throughout the day. Her ability as a dancer is incredible and it was so nice to be able to photograph a proper ballerina in such a beautiful setting. Would love to shoot with Erica again in the future. Thank you.

I had a really enjoyable shoot with Erica on Sunday morning and went home with some great images.

When I had a clearly defined idea, Erica was happy to run with it and suggest improvements where needed. For the vague, less defined ones, she could call upon her experience to make them real and to suggest further variations.

Erica's happy to share her knowledge and expertise (to explain why one shot is technically better than another, for example) and keen to make sure I was happy with the results of one idea before moving on to the next.

My only regret is not booking a longer shoot.
