Erica was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her communication before the event was fantastic. We had a video conference in may to go through her vision for the shoot in great detail so i was fully prepared to start work as soon as i arrived. The day went so smoothly with her timetable. I would highly recommend her and would not hesitate to work with her again.

What an amazing day with Erica! Set, costumes and her amazing team made this day really memorable. Erica is so friendly, it's a joy to work with her and at all times maintaining a professional attitude. This is the third time I've shot with Erica and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for an outstanding experience and some awesome shots!

The first of 2 shoots on consecutive days was a Theatre Ballet shoot organised by Tabitha Boydell. Erica was working alongside a new male partner Ben who she knew from Northern Ballet. Of the 4 models available to shoot, Erica and Ben were the only models actually shooting ballet which I had expected.

I had primarily gone for the opportunity to shoot Erica in a pseudo performance setting on stage and her ability and artistic shone through. Pre-shoot comms were less fulsome on the shoot as Erica was not responsible for the styling. Comms on the day were, as expected, clear and precise. She works amazingly well with Ben and I came away with some certain “keepers” from the huge amount of performance images captured on the day.

I can’t foresee a day when I would not recommend Erica to the wider photographic community.

PGD Modelling and Photography Studios

Having worked with Erica here at the studio many times. I was delighted to be asked to light on her Great Expectations event recently.

I was hired to set up the lighting for the event, I was well prepared for the type of effects Erica wanted as precomms for the event were, as always, very organised and very clear. The event run smoothly as Erica had created a seamless structure for the day and had some amazing attendees that all worked really well together.

Working with Erica is always a pleasure and you are guaranteed some first class results.

If you have not had the chance to work with Erica then I suggest you get yourself booked in asap as you will get first rate images.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Erica came back to Basford Hurst Cottage this year for another sell out and super successful event!! It was a pleasure to welcome her back once again, she arrived the night before and we spent the evening chatting and catching up over pizza!!

On the day of the shoot we had four photographers all booked on and each one came back with a glowing report and it's not hard to see why! - Not only is Erica an incredible model and dancer, she is also professional through and through and the most wonderful person to have around!! She has the most incredible personality and we love hosting her here at Basford.

We would of course HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend booking Erica as your model and we really hope to see her again soon here at Basford... In fact, dates for 2025 are being discussed.... !!! Thank you so much Erica!!

I have long admired the elegant beauty shown by Ballerinas, and so this opportunity to work at Basford Hurst Cottage Studio with Erica 1-2-1 for the first time was a chance not to be missed, and just what a wonderful lady she is, an easy going, friendly personality, plus a collaborative approach to shooting ensured the results would be exactly what I was after. Erica knew instinctively what would work, even from my poor attempts at explaining, and she delivered effortless poses across our two hours together.

If it's Ballet and Dance you're wanting to photograph, I recommend 100% that you book some time with this exceptional performer who gives 100% commitment to ensure you go home with excellent images even when experimenting in ways you’ve not tried before. A delight to be working with Erica again today on her studio day at Basford Hurst cottage. Erica is a wonderfully talented and hard working model and today we worked with natural light on dance and portraiture themes. Erica is great company and also a great contributor to any set with her poses, grace and style. Just got back from a fabulous shoot with Ballerina Erica Mulkern at Basford Hurst Cottage Studio. We started by chatting about my concept for the shoot and looking around the studio to find the ideal light.

This lady has incredible flexibilty, strength and elegance. I had quite a few ideas I wanted to try and Erica was enthusiastic about everything I suggested, helping me out with ideas and clothing that would work.

She poses very naturally and beautifully and am so happy with the shots I have come away with. Erica is a lovely easy going lady and loved every minute working with her. Thank you Erica. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of yet another shoot with Erica. This was my first 1-2-1 shoot with her. Which was at the amazing Basford Hurst Cottage. Erica is always a pleasure to work with and nothing is to much trouble.

She has a amazing wardrobe of outfits.

The only problem is 2 hours goes to quickly when you are enjoying a shoot.

Erica is just perfect in every way. She is a really really lovely person who is organised, friendly, professional and intelligent.

She is a dream to work with and is full of creative ideas.

When she dons her tutu and pointe shoes she transcends into an angelic form and wows her audience.

Today Erica worked with the portrait drawing group at Keighley Creative for two hours modelling in her pointe shoes and tutu and they totally loved her.

She was co-creative with the group, working with them at all times, her appearance was nothing short of stunning and modelling was brilliant, all the more difficult given that sitting or standing still for a long period of time is the very opposite of what dancers do.

Degas would have given absolutely anything to have had a model as good as Erica.

Totally brilliant, Thank you Erica and look forward to working with you again.

I had the pleasure of meeting Erica for the first time on Friday for a half-day 1-1 shoot in London. Erica was very helpful in organising the shoot, with an amazing selection of outfits to pick from. As someone new to organising shoots I wasn't sure on what would work or wouldn't at times, Erica was very understanding and helped create ideas and confirm what could work well. This is our fourth shoot together with Erica. You are phenomenal, yet again you bought massive energy smiles and professionalism. I’ve not seen from anyone else.

Pre-communications worked so well as you bought with you the dresses and tutus I asked for in the studio environment we shot in you always come prepared with make up and hair done not to waste any time,

I am going to spend whole day editing our images today and I am going to enjoy that as much as capturing the wonderful moments we had together. I can’t wait to share the images with you another people you are a superstar.

One of the great joys in my life is shooting with Erica. She is an outstanding ballerina and combines this with the most exquisite modelling. She also stayed with us in Bristol for a couple of nights so that Jenny and I had the pleasure of her company at home as well.

We shot at our local studio and worked through some really varied sets over the course of the day, including a few costumes that I hadn't shot Erica in before. I'm delighted with the images and am editing them now but, my word, so hard to choose from such lovely images.

Erica is a delight to shoot with; she is entirely reliable, hardworking and so creative. Highly recommended :-)

She takes direction well but, more importantly, she can recreate classic ballet poses. This was invaluable to folk like me who know very little about ballet! When I first started photographing dancers a few years ago, Erica was high on my list for people I'd love to work with. Sadly due to covid, I moved away and focused on styles such as wildlife.

When an opportunity arose via Tabitha Boydell to photograph ballet in Scotland at an epic location, I knew right away I was going to go!

Erica was a true professional, needed no direction at all and just goes with the flow. Absolutely amazing! I can't wait to work with Erica again one day.
