Erica had been on my 'want to shoot with' radar for a while, so it was great to finally get the chance at a group shoot at Prestwold Hall. Erica is very professional and is a joy to work with. It was a full day event and Erica worked really hard for us throughout the day. Her ability as a dancer is incredible and it was so nice to be able to photograph a proper ballerina in such a beautiful setting. Would love to shoot with Erica again in the future. Thank you.

I shot with Erica for the first time at Prestwold Hall at an event organised by Creative Photography Events. Erica is a very talented model who takes direction extremely well and has a great range of movements. She is lovely to work with and the whole shoot was nice and relaxed. Thank you Erica!

I had a really enjoyable shoot with Erica on Sunday morning and went home with some great images.

When I had a clearly defined idea, Erica was happy to run with it and suggest improvements where needed. For the vague, less defined ones, she could call upon her experience to make them real and to suggest further variations.

Erica's happy to share her knowledge and expertise (to explain why one shot is technically better than another, for example) and keen to make sure I was happy with the results of one idea before moving on to the next.

My only regret is not booking a longer shoot.

It's rarer still to work with someone who has her experience of working with photographers as well as on stage and understands how to adapt their work to the photographers' needs.

She also happens to be charming, patient, fun and totally organised. Recommended without hesitation.

I attended a ballet photoshoot run by Simon Carter at AURAPhotographic Studio yesterday in Weedon Bec. Erika was the model showing her many facets in ballet and dance. She is a very accomplished model trained in all aspects of ballet and dance. She is a superb model as well as being a lovely person. She is professional and easy going and we achieved some great shots thanks to her. Highly recommended and looking forward to our next shoot.

I had my 2nd shoot with Erica as part of a dance photography workshop run by Simon Carter at Aura Photographic.

Erica is an incredibly versatile dancer. As part of the workshop, we covered different styles of Ballet as well as contemporary.

Erica did an amazing job working incredibly hard with the four photographers on the day. She made all the complex jumps look so effortless and graceful.

I have come away from the workshop with lots of fantastic images.

I can't wait for my next shoot with Erica!

Had a super shoot with Erika today, she brought a wide selection of clothing ranging from tutu and leotards to floaty dresses and a Spanish dress. She was happy to go along with my ideas but as my knowledge of ballet/ dance poses is very limited she provided very knowledgeable and informed ideas to fit with the style we were shooting. The 2 hours passed very quickly and I was very pleased with the images as seen on back of camera. I am hoping I can shoot again with Erika and am more than happy to recommend her highly.

Not having been in a studio or worked with a model for over two years it was with some trepidation that I went to Aura Studio at Weedon to meet Erica. I need not have worried. She was so friendly and professional that I was soon at ease and discussing my ideas with her. As a classically-trained dancer she contributed enormously to making those ideas become a reality I could (try to) capture with my camera.

This is the second time I have worked with Erica and again it was a pleasure. Easy going and fun to be with which doesn’t distract from her hard working attitude. She also bring considerable experience and dance knowledge to any session. Her ‘can do’ mindset meant I have ended up with a lot of very strong, all different images. Thanks Erica! I have always wanted to shoot a ballerina/dancer and I could not have picked a better individual for my first attempt. Erica definitely went above and beyond to help, and demonstrated a real patience in contributing to me achieving fabulous images. I can only imagine the effort it takes to leap around with so much energy, and when I screwed up on my initial session, I thought I’d lost the chance. Erica was amazing as she agreed to give it another go and the second time round I nailed it. Not only does this demonstrate her professionalism, but also what a lovely person she is. I cannot hank her enough for making me so proud of the images I took, and I would love to work with her again at some point in the future.

I haven't much more I can say about Erica that I or other photographers haven't already said. She's a brilliant model, lovely person and ultimate professional.

Crossroads Studio

It is always a brilliant day at the studio when Erica is here and of course today was no different whatsoever.

Erica is one of the most versatile models to visit the studio and can create many different looks.

She is such a lovely person, easy to get along with, chatty and great fun. Erica is happy to work with photographers of all levels.

I can't believe you won't have worked with her yet, but if not then do as soon as possible!

I have lost count of the number of times I have worked with Erica, and today was another great session at Crossroads Studio. I am also running short of things to say about Erica, she is simply one of the most amazing women I know, a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and model. Erica is an amazing model, it’s very rare that a shot fails and it’s always difficult to decide which images are the best, as they are all good. If you are looking for an amazing model for portraits or vintage fashion then Erica is the model fir you, if you want an accomplished dancer with masses of enthusiasm and a love of what she does then again look no further than Erica. Very definitely recommended.

Erica organised and managed her own event day at Silkwood Studio, there was great communication before the event and she was amazingly organised on the day. She came with creative ideas and executed them perfectly. As the studio owner I had a fantastic day and I know the photographers who came had a brilliant time. I would highly recommend Erica both as a model and an organiser.

I was really excited about a chance to finally shoot with the exceptionally-talented dancer and choreographer Erica Mulkern, after being a fan of her work for many years. This was Erica's first self-organised session in collaboration with her partner Daniel, and the session did not disappoint! It was incredibly well-planned and structured, with excellent pre-shoot comms, and yet was flexible enough on the day to follow the interests of the attending photographers. Daniel showed great skill, strength and exuberance, while Erica provided a counterpoint with her precision, grace and discipline - a perfect balance. I loved every minute of it, and am looking forward to reviewing and editing my many and diverse-style dance images, when other commitments allow. Highly recommended - plus a shout out to Karen Gavin of Silkwood Studios for lighting support and hosting. A pleasure to be back studio shooting after the pandemic/eye surgeries, and what a fabulous shoot to start back with!!

I had my first shoot with Erica today as part of a Duo Ballet workshop organised by Erica. She was very welcoming and friendly She also made sure each photographer got an equal amount of 1-to-1 shooting time and was checking that they were happy with the shots they were getting. I would love to work with Erica again in the future.

I attended Erica's group shoot earlier today at Silkwood Studio. She had previously sent out a plan for the day and everything ran smoothly and to time. The studio and hospitality (drinks and snacks) were first class. Erica & Daniel were both very friendly and worked hard to give us the dance moves we were looking to shoot. I wish I could have stayed for the second half of the day! 5*

Erica organised a dance duo event at Silkwood Studios and it went brilliantly. She had given detailed information on how the day would run, with ideas on what she and Daniel Longhurst would do. The event schedule was not set in stone as she was happy for the photographers to change things if one set was more interesting to us than another. She was very welcoming and easy to get on with and the day went very smoothly so I got many, (too many?) great images. I am definitely going to come on another event which she organises and I can recommend her very highly.
