Zavod is creatively immense - there are so many choices of sets and backgrounds, from dark grunge to natural light oozing into the studio - so pleased to have met & shot with Xenia here today, I wanted to shoot everywhere at Zavod in the little time we had, the place has an unlimited amount of shots to be taken, I will be back and can fully recommend wholeheartedly...

Great shoot today at Zavod studios in Sheffield and wow what an amazing creative space. Absolutely loved it.

The natural light coming in from the floor to ceiling windows is fantastic, plus there is a white wall and a graffiti wall which are great for fashion and portrait shots.

On top of this, the studio is located within a working factory, and offers multiple industrial opportunities. Outdoor locations, staircases,corridors,steelworks (well it is Sheffield) I was like a kid in candy shop !!

And the cherry on cake is Xenia, the studio owner - such a delightful & welcoming lady, it was just a joy to meet her. Xenia gave me help, advice and confidence, and lots of coffee !!

Thanx Xenia I will be back.

I had my first shoot at Zavod, the studio is beautiful, it has lots of natural light and amazing windows.It also has access to a factory, which has lots of cool machinery and is a great industrial setting. Xenia was a great host, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this studio and hopefully I will get to shoot there again.

First shoot at Zavod with Sheffield-based Ukrainian model Lilinka K. The main studio is a relatively small area but makes good use of available space, with backdrops against one wall, a modern art painted second wall and very large natural daylight windows along a third wall. The model's changing area and entrance doorway occupy the fourth wall. The large windows made this area very light and 'airy' in which to shoot.

The main 'selling point' of this studio however, in my opinion, is access to the working parts of the factory in which the studio is situated. There are corridors, staircases and workshop areas in which shooting is welcomed, providing real locations in a working, albeit very old fashioned manufacturing factory. These areas can be used potentially to shoot models in contemporary industrial style outfits to blend with the location, or to shoot models in chic fashion or lingerie whereby the location provides a striking contrast to the model.

I have shot with Lilinka several times before so we were very relaxed with each other, the location for me was new and exciting and as such, in my opinion we generated some excellent images. Owner/Manager/Model Xenia was on hand ton advise and help where necessary and to provide REAL coffee and some very moorish Russian chocolates ! Highly recommended location. Highly recommended model. Highly recommended Russian chocolates.

Thank you very much to the Zavod studio for a good job. This is not the first time I work for you as a make-up artist. Good natural light and large panoramic windows, as well as a separate area for makeup artists, which is very important in my requirements. Love this place and recommend it.

I had my first shoot at Zavod today and it was fantastic! Zavod is amazing for natural light, the setting is incredible and it looks absolutely amazing on every shot. The derelict vibes are incredible and not only does it set the scene for derelict vibes but it also has amazing backdrops which are great for simple fashion, lingerie and beauty/portrait work. The wall on the right which is painted is just awesome! So psychedelic and totally a unique feature for any studio!

Absolutely fab space, totally comfortable and just very unique. Not to mention, Xenia - the owner is just an all around amazing lady.

Absolutely fabulous studio! Xenia has done an amazing job and utilised the space so well! The little details like the neon lights and magazine rack, the use of natural light and she even has a fabulous unique black and white graffiti wall by a local artist which makes for a cool backdrop!

This lady will go above and beyond to make sure everyone has everything they need from hot drinks to a seat to rest, and it’s literally the warmest studio I’ve ever been in! That deserves a ten out of ten in itself! Xenia herself knows and understands the importance of keeping a model comfortable from her own personal experience, which makes her an excellent studio owner and easily one of the best around. Safe, warm and friendly at Zavod! Honestly can’t praise her enough for her hard work, a truly remarkable and inspiring young woman with a fabulous clean, warm space to host from! If you haven’t yet worked at Zavod I would highly recommend you do! I don’t tour so much anymore and I’m particularly fussy of where I shoot from due to my disability, but I can honestly say that Zavod is now within my own personal list of places I’ll happily shoot from!

My first visit to Zavod and it won't be the last. With a main studio area with white walls and a range of coloured backdrops, and other shared areas of the building that have a more industrial vibe, you can do a lot here. It's also very easy to get to if you're driving to the studio and there is a large public car park very close by. Xenia never disappoints and was a brilliant studio owner, very accommodating and providing coffee and biscuits. I was very impressed and would recommend.

I had my first shoot at Zavod Studio and I was not disappointed. I've worked with Xenia many times and as well as being one of the best models I've worked with, she has also set up a fantastic studio. The studio is within a factory building with various different industrial locations which can also be used for a completely unique set. The studio itself is fairly small however it didn't feel cramped, it is well designed with lots of natural light available as well as lights, modifiers and led light strips too. I'd definitely recommend using Zavod studio for any other togs who want to combine lots of different styles in a unique location.

First visit to Zavod studio today. The studio area is fairly small but has nice windows providing lots of natural light. You are also able to shoot in a number of interesting area around the building.

Xenia was very friendly and helpful.

Will be back for a second shoot.

2nd time visiting Zavod today, this time to shoot with Xenia (Studio owner).

Made use of the fantastic natural light in the main room once more, also shot in some of the common areas we didn't use last time, and there's still so many different areas I've yet to use.

Xenia was the perfect host.

I've already got several ideas for return visits.

Had my first shoot at Zavod, with Xenia, today and it is a great place to shoot at.

The hosting is first class and super professional, being offered a much needed coffee on arrival and a tour of the areas that can be used.

What to say.... in the main studio area, there is loads of natural light, and the place has heaps of character.

You are not limited to the studio space, either. As this is located in a factory, (there is no noise, in case that is an issue), there are tons of areas with old machinery, staircases, exposed brick, the list goes on, that can also be used.

There is so much variety and to explore that I have already booked my second visit.

Totally recommended by me.

Went to Zavod Studio yesterday for for a shoot after going there a few weeks ago for a quick look round. Lovely spaces to shoot in there are so many you could come here quite a few times and new opportunities would present themselves. The owner could not be more helpful and super friendly too. Will certainly be back in future.

Wow, what an absolutely epic, first visit to Zavod Studio.

This place has such a cool look and such a versatile space to shoot in with gorgeous natural light and additional industrial style areas you can shoot in.

Well the owner is fabulous both as a model and host.

If you haven't shot here, you really should and I can't wait to return.

I’ve been invited to shoot at Zavod twice and loved both experiences, the second was a group shoot with 6 other ladies and we still managed to have space to get some amazing shots that have now been published in a magazine!

So today i had my first ever Visit here at Zavod Studio.

Wow is all i can say - Such a cool vibe to this studio.

Wonderful natural light in the room we shot at.

Got a warm welcoming upon arrival and a tour of the whole building which was amazing.

So many parts of this building we didnt get to shoot at due to time running away with us but we hope to be back again.

Host / owner was a amazing

Definitely recommend the studio to all in the business :)
