I LOVE coming here! this studio is already a solid favourite of mine! I had my second studio day at York Photographic today. Not only was I very well looked after, Kevin collected me from the station himself! I'm really looking forward to coming back to work at this little Yorkshire Gem! Such an amazing studio and he wardrobe is very well stocked too so should you forget anything have no fear! Thankyou to Kevin again for a wonderful day. Five star rating from me x

I had another excellent shoot in the studio today. Kevin is an excellent host and the changing room remains a delightful Aladdin's Cave as always. Highly recommended to models of all experience levels.

Today I was in the studio for my shoot with Rocky480. Kevin is a wonderful host, and the former apartment makes for an excellent studio. We particularly enjoyed making use of the available natural light. As a model, I will also definitely say that the tea/coffee facilities are great and the changing room is well-stocked, well-lit and warm! Definitely hoping to come back here again :)

Another great shoot at the York Photo Studio today. Without doubt it is one of the better studios in the north. If you are looking for a good studio experience, in particularly if studio shoots are something which you have yet to try, this is the place that you've been looking for. Well equipped, plenty of space, excellent facilities and easy to find. Hourly fees are some of the most competitive and the whole ambiance is relaxed and unrushed. Thanks again, Kevin!

I have shot a YorkPhotostudio a few times now, but each time it gets better and better. The facilities are first rate, stunning possibilities only limited by imagination, and Kev on hand to assist, with his comprehensive knowledge of all things photographic. Can I think of a reason not to shoot here, no!!! Its a must use venue, thoroughly recommended.

This was my first shoot at the studio. It is easy to find and parking was readily available outside (as suggested). Kevin was on hand to meet me and he's very friendly, knowledgeable and available to offer help and suggestions if needed - but he keeps out of the way otherwise. It's a friendly working atmosphere and Katianna, the model for the day, was clearly comfortable with the environment.

The studio was previously a flat and it has a number of different scenarios: a conventional studio with changeable backdrops, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a lounge and various outside locations which looked very interesting but were too cold to use on the day (I chickened out, not Katianna). Listing the options makes me realise how little I used in the 3 hour shoot. Certainly worth a visit and I look forward to using it again. Recommended

Finally got round to working with Kevin at his studio @yorkphotostudio. I spent the day working here with different photographers and then working with Kevin. He is such a genuine kind guy I can not fault him. Pre comms were excellent, he picked me up from the station and made sure I felt right at home constantly checking on me making sure everything was ok. He even treated me to a lovely lunch :-) I got on with Kevin Great and then we got on even better when we got to work together as the pics we were creating were fab! He not only a true gentleman but a fantastic photographer and really knows his stuff when it comes to taking pictures.

I had a fantastic day and will be keeping in touch with Kevin and will be there as soon as he asks me again for sure :-D

I had a great shoot today at york studio. Its a great studio very clean and modern with plenty of lights and props. Kevin was great and was on hand to help if needed. Will defo be returning in the future.

Yesterday was my first time at the studio attending a workshop by Andy Wright. It was a pleasant experience all round, Kevin was super friendly and made an effort to chat with me and get to know me. The studio is spacious, changing room was brill and had everything I needed to get ready including a big mirror and lights to do my makeup. I can't fault it one bit. Hope to visit the studio again sometime.

So, I've been on a few shoot events at Kevin's studio in York. A reference is very well earned for the huge effort and attention to detail he put in to organise the training event for Andy Wright and his master class. 12 demanding photographers, 1 perfectionist photographer training, 2 top models and lots of questions, food, lighting gear and a constant drip of caffeine and always, always with his very good nature, warm welcome and good company. Always a good event in York, highly recommended. Until the next time (oh wait that's next week, haha :-) Cheers Ian

I had my second shoot here yesterday a brilliant one at that, its utterly beautiful, with so much space and the facility is faultless. Kevin did an amazing job organising yesterday's "event Andy Wright Masterclass lighting tuition course".

Kevin is a pleasure to work, we had a good natter he also provided me with plenty of caffeine and snacks.

I cant wait to see the work we produced, from what i saw Kev took some cracking shots.

I'm looking forward to my next visit - thank you for having me until next time.

I had the lovely pleasure of meeting/shooting with Kevin at his epic studio in York organised as a joint photoshoot with another photographer where Kevin was our amazing host. :) Even upon arrival I had my bags taken/helped down the stairs to the studio and was made to feel so welcome with positive/upbeat vibes from the word go. :P I'll leave out the bit where I got the mickey taken out of me in the first hour because of my award-winning floor-drobe! :P

When I arrived on the day there was a lot going on at the studio; Kevin, bless him was running around like a headless chicken sorting meetings/workshops out etc. but he was on hand to help set up for myself and Ian and then later on, Kevin and I got our chance to shoot also! It was nice because at the studio you have the choice of beautiful natural light AND fully controlled/decorated sets, Kevin's got an unquestionable skill for generating interesting looks and will do this both with being creative with the light/angles as well as helping to style with the stunning range of garments/accessories he has to hand! I can't stress how encouraging it is for a model when you're working with a photographer who sees these little things which, you might not think add/change much about a picture but they sooo do. :) Cracking photographer who certainly looks to bring out the best in a shoot with the model/get a productive working relationship going.

My time as a whole at York Photo Studio was made wonderful by the lovely hospitality from start to finish. The kettle was putting in the hours, the laughs were none-stop and a fun shoot is the first step towards a successful shoot because if you get on with the people you work with then you've cracked the gelling part already. There were nice designated areas for the models to change and all-round I just felt so well looked after. :) Thank you so much Kevin! You made the visit awesome and I really look forward to getting the chance to work together again soon! :D

I had the privilege of shooting with Kevin at his brand new studio and it was an absolute delight! Kevin was a lovely host and an impressive photographer. He was lovely to work with and had a very easy going approach. We had great work chemistry and the images are absolutely gorgeous! I had a great shoot at the studio, it wasn't my first time and don't think it will be the last time.

Kevin who runs the studio is a nice guy, welcoming and helpful, but also just let us get on with our shoot. There are numerous shooting spaces including a greenery space outside!

The studio is very well equipped with plenty of well maintained lights and modifiers, lots of choice. can't really ask for more.

Highly recommended!

I worked in this studio for the first time on Saturday and needless to say it was absolutely FABULOUS! It has more than enough equipment and very beautifully set up and even comes with a beautiful outdoor area where we also got some fantastic shots. It's nice to find somewhere so close to where I am for such a reasonable price that does actually come with everything! The owners were both very lovely and hospitable and made us all feel very welcome. I am definately wanting to come back and put on some studio days of my own here! Highly recommend! Xx

Had a fabulous day at the York Photo Studio today. Reasonably priced, well equipped, and managed by an exceptionally likable guy. The whole setup is brilliant.

Well worth the visit.

A really great studio equipped with a wide range of equipment to suit every need.

Numerous shooting areas are available for different styles and the owner couldn't be more helpful. I had an excellent day shooting at the studio with two other photographers and we will certainly be visiting again soon.

Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.
