This weekend I visited York Photo Studio not once but twice! However I had a very pleasant experience on both occasions

The studio and host are both fantastic! Kevin the owner is extremely accomodating and friendly, he was even kind enough to bring me and Lyndon back a cake on his visit to the store, which was lovely and super thoughtful!

The studio itself is very well equipped for both photographers and models. The studio is a converted apartment with both the benefits of colour changeable studio backdrops and a living area space for natural light enthusiasts.

Parking space is ample, I had no problem getting parked outside the studio on both occasions. The studio is heated and has space and has tea and coffee making facilities as well as a well stocked fridge for those preferring soft drinks.

Also- for those shooting art nude the space is very private and a perfect place to book.

100% recommend this studio for all types of shoots.

Would I recommend? Without a doubt. One of my favourite studios, that quickly became like a second home working there so regularly.

I absolutely love working at York Studio, and also with Kevin. He is so welcoming and we get along great, I love a chat and a catch up whenever I’m there! And when we’re shooting together, wow! Magic happens. He is insanely talented and knows his sh*t so to say!!

A Shot in the Dark

Honestly I could really go on and on about how fantastic this studio, and the owner, is.

This is my go to studio for so many reasons. It's incredibly versatile, aside from the main areas you also have little nooks with different wallpapers to add so many different styles during the day!

High quality gear is also included in the hire and I love the selection! The facilities are fantastic.

Kevin is honestly such a fantastic host! Always on hand to help out but then will leave you to get on with your shoot too.

I always feel at home here, it's such a great, welcoming atmosphere. I always come away with some of my favourite new images too!

I loved the whole set up of your studio and the things that were laid out and very scrupulously santisted and spotless!

Wow, well where do I even start!!!!!

It was my 3rd time visiting York studio but my 1st studio day there run by the fantastic Kevin! All pre cons where great and with the studio also being a fully equipped apartment it was great to stay there the night before, it meant I could unpack my case and have everything ready for the studio day. Kevin is an amazing host collecting me from the train station and showing me the local necessities,he made me feel very welcome and at home.

It's a fab studio, as I say laid out like an apartment which means you really can get the realistic set ups. One room styles an unbelievable wooden floor for those reflection shots which are stunning. An amazing dressing room with an endless collection of clothing, shoes, accessories which really made me want to play dress up (and so tidy, everything had a place)

Kevin was on hand all day for any changes and lighting set ups that the photographers asked for. All the equipment you could need, also got to shoot upstairs in the yoga studios which was fantastic for my dance. And of course he makes a lovely cuppa. It was by far one of my best studio days and I really cant wait to get back there. I also got to shoot with Kevin which I had been wanting to do for a good while. Kevin is extremely organized and a lovely character to spend the day with. Very very happy model and I would definitely highly recommend this studio to anyone.

Kevin was part of a team of photographers who worked on a shoot in an old town library in Masham, North Yorkshire. He was very polite, friendly, professional and had a great attitude. He worked TFP and stayed all day to get the best results.

I fully recommend working with Kevin.

His photos are out of this world.

I worked with Kevin at his studio for the first time last weekend!

Kevin is great fun to work with, super creative and he's really chatty and friendly do made me feel instantly at ease :)

He had a mood board of images with him so I could see exactly what style he was wanting to achieve and we worked our way through some seriously awesome sets! From what I saw on the back of the camera the results were fab :D

Kevins studio is great, it has a few different rooms with numerous different set ups and props and everything you need to achieve tonnes of different looks!

Highly recommended by me and hope to work at his studio again in the future!

I had an amazing shoot with Kevin. He had so many ideas and we got through so many of them. Kevin is really chatty and fun to model for and has great lighting techniques. We lost the natural light very quickly but Kevin came to the rescue. Kevin even had bought some new outfits for me to model and were great looking in the shoot.

We have already got another shoot booked in and I am really looking forward to it. 100% recommended. Thanks for a great fun day Kevin.

Facet Fotos

Kevin laid on an excellent Lighting Workshop evening at his studio. Kevin showed us 5 different lighting set ups and had arranged a local model 'Monia' to demonstrate how best to utilize the lighting during a model shoot. Kevin provided very useful information and gives many creative ideas how best to use the lighting. I would recommend any future lighting sessions to new studio photographers and indeed those like me who need to gain better insight into how to use lighting for model shoots. I also came away with some very good shots from the evening. Thanks as always Kevin.

Kevin hosted myself and Will Newton recently for our Acro Yoga event! Thankfully Kevin didn't run a mile at our crazy suggestion and instead was such an amazing host! Despite being in a lot of pain on the day, Kevin persevered and was of great assistance to all the photographers with lighting, set-up and anything and everything they could possibly need! He was also incredibly attentive to mine and Will's needs and I simply love working at the studio for its wonderful atmosphere!

The studio it's self is beautiful and spacious enough to do three-person acrobatics! and every time i've been it's always immaculately clean, tidy, warm and inviting.

I hope to both attend and host more events at York studio in 2020 as its definitely one of my top rated studios in the country!

Another bloody epic weekend at York Photo Studio! Couldn't wait to go back! Kevin is spot on with his comms & really helpful with making bookings & promoting wherever he can, which is a god send!

As always I was extremely well looked after! The facilities are York Photo Studio are spot on! The dressing room has mirrors, plenty of light for make-up, plenty of space and a beautifully huge wardrobe of garments, shoes and props!

Somewhere to shower and somewhere to sleep & perhaps most importantly a constant supply of tea!

Always feel 100% safe and looked after! (Which is very important for a travelling model)

Kevin is amazing in the studio, helping others, nothing is too much trouble! Helps create a lovely atmosphere too!

During my stay Kevin shot alongside another photographer for 4 hours, as he did before, he had ideas and inspiration. The whole shoot was relaxed, creative and full of beautiful images.

Kevin is not only a wonderful host to all but an extremely talented photographer, both with lighting and of course getting the image! Some beautiful images were created and once again I would highly recommend him & his wonderful studio!

I am useless at writing references. I honestly don’t think I can explain just how much I enjoyed working at York photo studio. Kevin was a total star, I was so well looked after, kept warm and had EVERYTHING I needed.

Studio is warm and has everything you need. Including lots of biscuits :) Kevin is an amazing studio owner he is so on the ball with everything. He’s also an amazing photographer!!

I can wait to come back to this fabulous space.

Kevin contacted me on behalf of another photographer to help out in the studio whilst they learn the set up and lighting. I have been to York Photography Studio before and it has more than adequate possibilities for any level of photographer, Kevin is extremely professional and very pleasant. Unfortunately due to uncontrollable circumstances me and Kevin ended up shooting together which was a pleasure. I have always wanted to work with Kevin and this turned out to be a great opportunity which we both made the most of. I would highly recommend the studio to any local photographers and I look forward to see Kevin in the future.

What a beautiful studio!

I had the pleasure of shooting here alongside Mia Resa and Andy Wright.

Wonderfully decorated, incredibly clean, warm, multiple sets, lots of lighting and plenty of space!

The dressing room was amazing - large mirrors, lots of light, plenty of space for my own stuff, but also lots of their own props, clothing and shoes! There is even a shower in the bathroom - something I feel a lot of studio's do not think about.

Andy has organised the studio for the shoot, but Kev was unbelievaby kind when I arrived and most hospitable, chatting with us quite freely, and helping Andy as and where he needed before the shoot began and allowing us to carry on.

A studio I would happily work in again. Thank you, Kev. Recommended from me!

Had the most amazing weekend shooting at York Photo Studio - not only is it an awesome space, so many areas to shoot, epic amenities and a place where any travelling models can stay over in a safe and secure environment, but it's also Kevin, the studio owner, and incredible photographer who is the loveliest soul, and very welcoming.

We had an amazing shoot in the studio, so many different amazing sets, Kevin has so many beautiful outfits set aside for me to model, wigs, jewellery and a stunning cello even!

Can't wait to get back here and shoot again - would highly recommend both working with Kevin, and shooting at the studio. Loved my time there!

After my 2nd Studio Weekend to York Photo Studio I can happily say that it is one of my favourite studios that I have ever visited.

As always the studio owner Kevin was on hand to help during my entire visit and he always checked that I was comfortable and that I had plenty of cuppas and other goodies.

This studio is so welcoming and versatile to shoot in as there are a range of set ups and rooms that can be used, including an outdoor area.

I would 100% recommend this Studio to any model or photographer or any creative looking for a studio in Yorkshire!

I had a lovely shoot at York photo studio last week.

It was on one of the hottest days of the year so far (roughly 31 degrees!) and I was very thankful for the air-conditioning. The studio itself is fantastic with a great range of equipment and costumes available. I really enjoyed having the luxury of my own changing room and found it to be an all-round lovely environment to work in.

Highly recommend and can't wait to shoot there again next time I'm in York! :)
