References for The Apex Studio (Telford)

It was a pleasure to finally visit Apex Studio and see Trevor again having been booked to work there by two photographers this weekend.

All pre comms with Trevor were great, and he was of course incredibly welcoming!! He even carried my ridiculous case for me - What a guy!!! Haha!! :P

The studio itself is really well equipped with plenty of sets, props, outfits and lighting - You could spend hours and hours here and still find something new to shoot!! There is also a lovely natural light space and we were very lucky to get some beautiful light coming through!! The dressing room is comfortable and well equipped and the studio space itself was lovely and warm.

Trevor was always on hand all day and was really helpful with lighting set ups and moving props around as required. He also makes a great cuppa!!!

I would absolutely reccomend Trevor and the Apex studio and I look forward to being back again soon!! Thank you Trevor!!

Tremendous shoot with Miss Rosie Lee at The Apex Studio in Telford. Rosie is such an experienced model, her witty charm makes it so easy to get great images, not sure how she keeps a straight face when needed though!

The studio owner Trevor is brilliant with his technical and creative support.

A great studio, easy access to M54, easy parking and easy to recommend.

Booked a studio session for a 2 hour shoot with Trevor. We had a theme in mind which Trevor was kind enough to offer lighting and technique skills to us to help acheive the shots we hoped for. A warm reception and very helpful place to conduct your shoots from. I'm sure I'll see Trevor again soon.

I held another remote studio day at Apex recently and Trevor was as helpful as ever, sorting out all the lighting set ups and backdrops, moving the equipment to different areas.

I had 3 different shoots and got a wide variety of shots (even when shooting in the same area), Trevor sorted some valentines themed sets for me and was able to transform the bed area etc when needed. He was chatty with the togs and helped the day go as smoothly as possible (despite me forgetting to allow for breaks), Trevor always puts his all into any shoot at the studio and it is much appreciated!

This was my first time using this studio but I will return in the future. Trevor made myself and my models Archingaimee, Alissia Blue and ElaineClair very welcome. Trevor was on hand to build sets and help with lighting where required a highly recommended studio

I had a great first visit to this lovely hidden gem of a studio. I had a booked session with Megapixel. It has a really great array of sets and plenty of backdrops. Trevor was lovely and helpful and a joy to be around. Such a helpful gentleman. I hope to come back here in the near future. I recommend it to any photographer or model. Thank you.

I enjoy doing group shoots and the apex studio does a good job doing these and are well organised with great themes.

Trevor tests the themes with the model in situ and micro adjusts the lights then explains what you should be getting with your camera and then checks you are happy with what your getting on your shoot, with is a good thing in my book.

Recommended from beginners to seasoned pro's.

Second ever Model Shoot first one the week before Trev was really welcoming and I got some great images. The other Photographers at the shoot Gary (RIP) Pottsy and Simon were really helpful and welcoming. Relaxed but very professional workshop.

I attended my second one of Trev’s workshop evening’s yesterday and what a great time I had!

It’s clear that he puts a huge amount of effort into these events. Carefully planning themes and lighting sets in advance. He had also sent me across a mood board to ensure I selected the most appropriate clothing to fit the theme and didn’t over pack which I often find myself doing when travelling to studios 🙈 I was very grateful for this!

Whilst there, he is a fabulous host to both models and photographers, helping and guiding everyone to ensure the best photos are taken.

Thank you so much for another fun evening Trev and look forward to seeing you again in March! ☺️☺️

Trev is truly wonderful!! not only is he a great photographer but also a brilliant host , teacher and more

I’ve attended a workshop recently he hosted and it was so much fun , everything is organised carefully and the lighting setups were outstanding! I was sent a few images he took from this day to and they were fabulous.

I’ve also shot at his studio with others and he has been a great help with assisting newer photographers and experienced! Always going above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy and get the images they need

I have a couple more shoots booked at apex before I move away and I’m looking forward to being at the studio again for a few last shoots here

Another reference from me, but this time regarding a remote shoot.

Trev has helped me on numerous occasions with remote shoots, with some being extremely creative on which he has worked super hard on.

Trev is always on hand and most helpful when it comes to photographer requests, set building, contributing to styling, even helping me with difficult hair styling, making teas… absolutely everything! And I am super grateful.

A massive thank you, and highly recommended by me.

I've shot at Apex about 10-12 times, all remote sessions. For those, Trevor has been invaluable; moving lights, setting gels, assembling/creating sets, rigging cameras, etc. Sometimes I provide a lighting diagram; sometimes a rough description to start with, and sometimes it's decided entirely on-the-fly. In all those cases, Trevor has been able to accomodate things quickly and effectively.

The studio is well-equipped, and has all sorts of odds and ends to enhance all kinds of shoots.

Highly recommended!

I came back to the studio for a last minute Wednesday workshop, this time with coloured gels!

Trev always makes it easy for me by requesting I don't bring too much and having a really clear idea of exactly what sets he wants to shoot.

A pleasure as always, I look forward to seeing the images!

I had visited Apex studio in Telford for my first shoot.

I had booked 2 models for 4 hours, which was also my first time working there and shooting with models.

I was also given some assistance by Trevor with the lighting and i got started from there.

For my first time, i did extremely well and got some very good images out of it.

I look forward to visiting there again soon

So lovely to see Trev again after a few years!

Trev was a fab host for my shoot, and the studio has a great variety of backdrops, lots of space and even a bedroom set. And it was warm! Essential as it was snowing outside.

I also shot with Trev as well as another photographer, and as before he came up with some wonderful creative ideas.

I won't leave it so long before the next visit and will 100% be back!!
