References for The Apex Studio (Telford)

I had the absolute pleasure of working at Apex Studio for the first time on Thursday, when I was booked for a four hour shoot there by Brian Ashley.

When Brian and I arrived we were met with warm cups of coffee and an even warmer welcome. Trev and his mum are, quite simply, fabulous. We had a good chat, and I realised quickly that we were going to get along like a house on fire!

Trev is obviously an expert when it comes to lighting set ups and photography in general. Any help that was needed was there on tap, and there was no request too big or small that wasn’t fulfilled straight away. Saying that, Trev wasn’t at all intrusive and allowed us our space entirely until we requested him.

The studio itself is beautiful, with so many different sets, props and outfits (oh, the outfits!) There are backdrops in any colour you could imagine, and even a beautiful bedroom set with lovely natural light through a large window. It’s a place absolutely bursting with possibilities and we’d have needed much more time there together to even skim the surface of its potential.

I hope to be back at the studio again (and then again and again and again) and I’d recommend it wholeheartedly to other models and photographers without hesitation! Thanks so much Trev and Mum x

I was the model for one of the Wednesday night workshop at Apex Studio, Trevor and his mother (lovely lady) were fantastic hosts and set up some amazing lighting for the gels sets . The night went smoothly and I was made at home straight away . I had a fantastic time shooting there and can't wait for the next shoot .

Went for a group shoot at the apex,

Mainly because I’d shot the model once before & I wanted to shoot her again

But the studio was relatively unknown to me, but I was very pleasantly suprised with how it was set up, good option of light & a good few different backdrops & props available, I’ve already booked 2 more group shoots their, as I was so impressed, & I left with more questions than answers, I may have to go back for a bit of lighting tuition & explore the possibilities a bit more without a group there l,

I’d recommend this to many aspiring photographers as you will het help if needed & a lovely

Had a great studio day at Apex this weekend. Trev is so great and helpful! Hes so easy to chat with and really knows his stuff!

Pre comms were easy!

The studio day its self ran like a dream and everything I asked for he was able to help with or supply! The studio is great because it has sets and so much variety! Has all the lighting, furniture, props and even clothing youll need!

Cant recommend it enough!

My first time at Apex studio Trev’s pre-shoot comms we’re great and he has loads of creative ideas so the shoot goes by so quickly.

His studio is well equipped and he has great knowledge of lighting so I knew my images would be fantastic . He's a really lovely guy and I would highly recommend Trev to any and all models. Looking forward to returning, great evening and coffee from the lovely lady (trevs mom) 😃

This was my first visit to the studio and I'll definitely be returning. I was made to feel very welcome by Trevor and his mum! Plenty of tea and coffee and a well run shoot. Loads of lighting and well built sets. What more do you need. Highly recommended.

I came to the studio for an art nude shadows and gobos workshop, after shooting some promo stuff a little while prior and it was so much fun.

Trevor made sure to create different set ups to the ones we did previously, so the photographers were getting a variety of images and stuff that hadn't already been shot.

Everyone was super friendly and lovely to work with, the way that workshops are run is really efficient without feeling rushed or too strict. Everyone had a fair turn with each set up and got some really great images, I would definitely recommend the studio and especially the workshops.

Trevor clearly knows what he is doing and is so organised, so everything runs nice and smoothly. His mum is also a godsend, making teas and coffees and helping with set ups throughout.

I would not hesitate as all to recommend this studio and I hope to return soon.:)

I worked with Ashleigh Rae at The Apex Studio last week on a remote session, and was very pleased with how well organized the studio was. When I needed a change of modifier, it was handled quickly and efficiently, and the whole session worked smoothly and without any issues.

Booked a studio shoot with Trevor, never having worked in a studio before, I was a bit nervous. However, on arrival I was offered a cuppa and chatted with Trevor about what I had in mind. He was very happy to help and advise with the best lighting set ups for the projects we had in mind and left us until we needed him. A lot.....

I'd highly recommend Apex Studio to photographers and Trevor is already fully booked for forthcoming group shoots.

I'm sure I'll be back sometime soon, Trevor, sorry, lol.

He brings a high quality of lighting knowledge, along with a sense of humor and a well organsied studio.

First time shooting at apex studio today with the beautiful Elle modelling for us.

This is such a great place to shoot with many creative sets available.

Trevor was fantastic and has created such a nice welcoming environment for people to shoot in, he has obviously taken lots of time setting this up. Was on hand to offer advice and guidance on lighting when required too. Can’t recommend highly enough. Enjoyed it so much I booked onto the next shoot whilst I was there. Looking forward to return very soon.

I worked with Trevor for the first time recently, to get some promo images for a workshop coming up soon and he was kind enough to drive way out of his way to pick me up due to train strikes which I really appreciate.

Pre comms were clear and super helpful, Trevor sent pictures of his car, studio address etc to make sure I was comfortable before getting picked up.

The shoot went well, Trev's mum was there to help out and she made me a few coffees as well as assisting with lights etc. It was so laid back and enjoyable.

The studio itself is in an old pub which is really cool, lots of different sets as well as backdrops and lighting setups to use and play around with. We played around with shadows and gobos and created some really cool images.

I would definitely recommend Trevor and the studio, I'm really looking forward to the workshop on the 18th. :)

I paid my first visit to a 'Wednesday' shoot at the Apex Studio. Steve had a series of themed sets planed for us. All very slickly changed from one to the next.Friendly chat and a seemingly endless supply of tea and coffee.

The choice of model could not be faulted a talented hard working lady.

I shall be back to work at the apex and with Nadia.

I had the pleasure of hosting a studio day at Apex, with one to one sessions followed by a group shoot.

Trevor went to so much effort with the sets and is incredibly easy to work with as well as being very talented.

The studio is well equipped and has so many different sets and endless backdrops, it would be easy to spend days here and not get bored!

Warm, versatile and a great changing room - I would recommend Apex and Trevor to models of all levels.
