Well....I’ve just got back from an incredible shoot with Phil! We’ve both tried something a little different from what we are used to and it’s fair to say, I will definitely be shooting more of it & I think as will Phil! Sooooo much fun and such an easy guy to get along with! I can’t wait to work with Phil again hopefully In the not so distant future!

Absolutely loved working with Phil, he had so many great ideas and all of the photos turned out beautifully. Phil is completely at-one with his cameras, lenses, lighting, editing... the list could go on. The shoot felt professional but very relaxed at the same time - like I'd know him for years. Had my first shoot at the Boardroom studio recently and wow, what a beautiful building with abundant space, warm and full of gorgeous natural light.

Phil and co are fantastic and even had my namesake tea in stock as a welcome. It's always lovely to work around such friendly and warm people!

My third shoot at PHLY studio. Why do I keep coming back (and driving 75 miles each way) to use this studio?

It is a large room, has no sets, only a few props, but what is does have is character as well as an owner, Phil with Assistant Rebecca, who are both very friendly, easy to get on with, and instantly helpful if needed. The Boardroom is a large white room (over 8m long by 5.75m deep) with three large frosted glass windows (with Window seats and quite effective genuine wooden shutters that close properly) that give a very good even natural light. It has lots of studio lights and modifiers and this allows you to really play and learn using lighting, both natural and studio. I totally and 100% recommend this studio. I hope to keep going back there.

I had my first shoot at The Boardroom with the lovely Gingerface.

It is a lovely space, with loads natural light and a great staircase.

Phil and his charming assistant (sorry I forget the name) were fantastic, they were there to get me set in the right direction with the lighting and were always happy to aid or advise me.

I will certainly visit again and I have no hesitation in recommending the studio to any photographer or model

This was my second time working at The Boardroom and I just adore working here. Phil is always so welcoming and helpful. Booking the studio was so easy and communication with the studio is always prompt. During the shoot he was on hand to assist with lights or anything we needed including tea!

The studio itself is just beautiful! So much natural light and so many different places to shoot. So many options we ran out of time and still had lots more to do so we hope to go back again soon. I highly recommend working here! Thanks Phil!

I have worked at the Boardroom many times since I found out about it and I have to say I just really love the space!...

This time I decided to host a workshop and Phils comms were great, I really got a sense that he was interested in what I was doing, how he could help and even making suggestions which would work well in his space so that was awesome!...

On the day I couldn't of been happier! The studio was the perfect space for the look and style of what I was hoping to achieve and the results were better than I expected. Phil was brilliant throughout, helping to make suggestions, moving things around and just genuinely seemed to be enjoying it!...

I can't thank him enough and to be honest the workshop wouldn't have worked as well without him... a wonderful space to make into exactly what you want, with a studio owner who clearly loves photography what more can you want!...

We also had a little shoot before the workshop and the images are absolutely awesome, Phil got exactly what I was trying to achieve and the shots are just awesome!....

Thanks again Phil for everything!

And to all local photographers this is an amazingly versatile space, well equipped and great value. So get booking for the winter season!

Help was always at hand if it was needed and a warm welcome from the host throughout what was a creative model day run by Arabella. If allowed I will be back to use facilities again. A great space to work!

Had our first shoot last night.

And what a shoot it was!

Phil was very welcoming and helpful from the beginning. Was always making sure I was ok! We got through quite a few outfits. It was just an overall pleasure to work with Phil and we got some really nice shots!

Phil and the Boardroom were absolutely excellent to work with - Phil is polite, friendly and makes you feel at ease when working with him. The shoot was very last minute due to a cancellation at his studio but he had some amazing inspiration and mood boards already set up for my style and the shoot concepts we'd spoke about prior. The boardroom is a beautiful studio I would gladly work in again. Pleasant temperature, full of natural light that is able to disappear at a moment's notice with the big beautiful windows that are also a great feature. The amenities and tools available in the boardroom are great as well, and I had a wonderful shoot with Phil. I'd gladly work with him and the studio again!

Wow!! So so pleased I got to shoot here! I’ve been wanting to work here for a while and I’m glad the opportunity arose. I was booked for a 4 hour shoot so there was plenty of chance to explore the different sets and areas of the studio. Phil and Rebecca are so lovely and welcoming. I felt at ease straight away and looked after. Plenty of camomile tea to keep me happy ;)

The studio itself is just so beautiful. So much natural light to work with. Phil and Rebecca were on hand to help whenever we needed it. Lighting and setting up of sets wasn’t a problem, they were happy to help.

Amazing studio, great hosts and I really hope I get chance to shoot there again soon! Thanks guys!

I shot at PHLY studios yesterday, and I can’t say how much I loved it! I immediately felt extremely comfortable and welcomed to the studio, Phil is a hugely professional and talented photographer, he took some really amazing images and came up with some great ideas.

We extended our shoot from 2 to 3 hours to get everything we wanted to do in and it was so worth it,

I hope to return to the studios soon at some point, even just to have a chat with them! Really genuine and lovely people and I would recommend to anyone.

Pre/during/after communication was superb and there was absolutely no point during my time here that I felt uncomfortable or didn’t enjoy myself. :)

My second shoot in just over a month at PHLY as I liked 'the Boardroom' so much. ;-) Phil and Rebecca made us really welcome (drinks available as and when required) and nothing was too much trouble when we asked for help. If you like a nice big (virtually) empty all white room with three large windows that give lovely diffused light, this is the studio for you. The room has character as well with the floorboards and wall panelling that won't distract from your model as well as the window seats (lovely) and shutters for the windows. A great studio that should be on every good photographer's "I'd like to work with " List - Fully recommended!

Finally got to visit and shoot at the Boardroom and really enjoyed my time there!

There are so msny backdrops within the studio space to work in and around and Phil has a pretty good taste in music for background noise too!

Hope I get to visit again soon!

Had my first shoot at PHLY studio yesterday. wow!

was met with a warm welcome, and still cant get over the opportunities of working with the light in 'The Boardroom'. Even though it was a short shoot managed to capture some great images in the time I had.

Cant wait to get back there later this month.

Just got home from an amazing photo shoot event which Phil (the owner of the Boardroom Studio) organised with the amazingly beautiful Queenie (themalaysianbanana - see separate reference for her on her profile).

The Boardroom studio is an amazing place for photo shoots with lots of space and great natural light though those large windows.

Phil was a great host, both professional and friendly. I look forward to visiting for another shoot in the future.

my first time shooting at PHLY and a lovely experience it was too. Bathed I natural light I can only describe it as beautiful, it is so serene, calming and elegant. There were lights available but non were needed due to the amount of ambient light coming in. The service was excellent too, they make a lovely coffee and it was readily available. they even found a charger for me to borrow after I managed to forget mine. I will most certainly be using the place again and can highly recommend it. Thank you

While I wasn't the person who booked the studio, that was my first time at PHLY and I absolutely loved it. The natural light, no frills and with predominantly white walls, floor, and ceiling, made for some gorgeous simple pictures. Very impressed and should be on everybodies 'Studio to use' list.
