Andy is an exceptional studio owner, and today I was given amazing help and guidance that enabled me to successfully work with light, shadow and gels! My second shoot at Kempston with the lovely Irida, and it was an excellent experience. Andy is very friendly with significant photography expertise, and is happy to share his knowledge and offer guidance when needed. For a hobbyist with limited studio light experience, this was a great benefit. It is not the biggest studio ever, but it has amazing transformational qualities, and an abundance of excellent props, with great window light. Your only limit to creating great images is your imagination. Once you experience the studio it is easy to understand why it is so popular.

Andy will always offer help , tea and coffee and also lunch for the models(thank you for this)

the studio is very versatile, spacious, clean and with so many props!

Had first visit to Kempston today. Studio was very welcoming, and had great equipment. Also very helpful setting up studio lighting and environments for different shots. Model was also great, I recommend it.

This week saw me take the plunge with my first ever studio shoot, hosted at Kempston Studio. Andy greeted me with a warm welcome, then introduced me to Charley Taylor, before showing me around the Aladdin's cave that is KS. The range of fixtures, fittings, furnishings, and props is any photographer's dream come true. Whether creating a mise-en-scène, or opting for the more classic appeal of an infinity backdrop, KS has it all, with Andy on hand to provide knowledgeable guidance and advice, and any manual handling that's needed! When chatting to Andy, his enthusiasm for photography really comes through, as does his sincere wish for photographers of all levels of experience to leave KS satisfied that they've achieved the captures they came for.

The lighting options at KS are impressive, and I have to thank Andy for his patience with my ignorance and inexperience using a studio flash. He never once expressed his exasperation with me, even though I gave him plenty of opportunities to do so! 😊

Would I recommend KS? Definitely "yes"! I couldn't have wished for a friendlier, comfier, or better equipped introduction to studio shooting, and sincerely hope I get a chance to return soon. Thank you, Andy!

Where do I start? There are so many nice things I have to say about Andy and his studio!

I just completed my sold-out studio days at Kempston Studio, in which I did a total of 27 hours! Each day, Andy kindly picked me up from my accommodation and drove me to the studio. As well as this, he provided drinks, snacks and lunch each day! Andy treated me so well and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

Over the course of the days I was there, Andy and I had fun laughing at eachothers jokes and chatting about random things. He is such a great guy and made my studio days fun!

I couldn’t have asked for anything more - it was 5 star service if you ask me! I would recommend this studio to any model!

I also mentioned Kempston Studios to the Airbnb I stayed at, so anyone who stays there and mentions they are going to Kempston can get a discount!

I have already booked to come back in October and potentially for a workshop in August as well.

Well where do I start, from the word go Andy was ready to welcome me into his lovely and well equipped studio with a smile.

He explained where everything was and showed me the different sets that were available.

His humour and style were second to none and felt completely at ease in his company.

At a moments notice he was able to assist me with direction on how to use the different lighting equipment and how it's used and changing of the sets, his knowledge is great and having a go at recreating some shots

I was able to shoot with Kelsey on her studio day here and definitely would be returning, there are so many variables to achieve you could spend a week here and still be left with many options to shoot.

I shot with Andy during my second sold-out studio day at Kempston Studio. I would say the second to last set we did has been my all-time favourite! It was a bridal set, with me in a wedding dress and veil! Ive always wanted to do it and so glad I finally go to! Andy is such a lovely guy. He gives advice and tips when needed. I always enjoy seeing Andy and getting to shoot with him or at his studio. I will most definitely be back and will hopefully shoot with andy again!

I had my first shoot at Kempston today. I am sure to be back.

The studio has nice equipment and a great variety of backdrops and props. It is cleverly arranged so it is easy to completely change the look in minutes. Andy strikes a great balance between being ready to help out and staying out of the way when not needed.

The studio attracts some great models which is how I noticed it. There are lots more attractive events coming up.

Oh, it is easy to find and has its own parking just outside. That is a nice bonus.

Recommended to all of you other photographers out there.

Had another brilliant shoot at Kempston Studio where I learnt a great deal more about shooting styles and techniques.

On a previous shoot at the studio, someone suggested that I ought to have a go at experimenting with colour gels. So when I booked a slot for a studio day at Kempston with new model Kelsey, I started looking at ideas involving gels

On the day of shooting, I presented Andy and Kelsey with my ideas of what I wanted to do imagery wise. And throughout the shoot, Andy was on hand to explain and guide me through what worked best and offer up his experience which resulted in some pretty amazing pictures of Kelsey. And as usual, Andy was on hand to offer beverages, have a great chat and a laugh & a joke.

Great working with Andy once again and I thank you for everything in offering your expertise and knowledge to broaden my horizons and helping learn more tricks that haven’t discovered with my camera! Hopefully won’t be long before I return to the studios for another day!

I had an absolutely fantastic studio day at Kempston Studio! The precommunication was excellent; Andy filled the slots fast and kept me updated all the time!

On the day of the shoot, he met me near the studio and helped me with my heavy suitcase. Inside, he offered me tea and showed me my changing room featuring a lot of gorgeous outfits, props, and accessories I could use 🤩

The studio had a fabulous atmosphere! Andy turned on nice music, lit a scented stick, and helped the photographers throughout the day with lighting and everything they may need! He also made a lot of great backstage videos for me that I was incredibly happy with 🥰

We had such a great conversation throughout the shoot. He did everything to make me feel welcome and worried about my time and comfort!

In the middle of the day, Andy was so kind to organize a nice lunch for me considering all the dietary requirements I have 😅

And in the end, we had a stunning shoot with Andy! He had so many gorgeous creative ideas! He used a lot of gels and lighting settings to create really amazing shots! He showed them on the back of his camera, and they looked absolutely stunning! 🥰

Just had another great shoot at Kempston with Natasha Groves. Andy was absolutely brilliant and did everything he could to help with the lighting.

A really easy and hospitable place to shoot, this was my second time visiting the studio. Although not the closest studio to me, I have already booked in for another shoot.

I had my first ever studio day at Kempston, Andy was an amazing host.

He made me feel at ease and comfortable the moment he kindly picked me up from the station. He is respecful, down to earth, professional and all round gentleman.

The studio day flew by, shooting different styles around the numerous sets at Kempston. I love all of Andys work, he is creative and has a great eye.

I cannot wait to come back to this studio and shoot more amazing ideas and use more of his set ups, props and outfits too!

Another visit to the fabulous kempston studio been so many times before but know I know where I want to be doing a photoshoot from the studio is totally awesome and this place rocks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the studio is a aladdins cave full of ideas moveable sets and backdrops its a dream to get your creative juices flowing the lighting set up is always on point and the studio lends itself to make you feel at home the studio has nailed the fine points and super organized and loads of props for you chose

The studio owner Andy is far by one of the most genuine person around and a pleasure to call a friend the warmth and dedication and nothing to much trouble attitude and very knowledgeable helps the shoot goes smoothly and make sure you are happy to get the best from the studio Andy makes you feel so welcome comfortable and support is always on hand andys tea making skills are getting there I am running out.of ideas to describe the studio and the owner andy

So if you are a model or photographer of someone who is just starting out get yourself to kempston studio you will not be disappointed and well looked after and I for 1 will be back soon again and again

Kempston Studio has hundreds of positive references and I'm not sure I have anything new to add to them, but I will once again sing the studios praise, and Andy's.

Let's start with the pre shoot communications - Andy shares this with you in such a good way so you have access to the photographers booked on to the studio day and he's quick to advertise and update casting calls. The excellent communications carry through into the shoot days and you're always prepared with whose coming.

During the shoot day - Andy is always on hand to assist with lighting and changes his mood to better suit the photographer at the time. It's a phenomenal skill to be able to adjust your mood to suit a photographer but one that's so important as a studio owner. Andy always makes me feel important and well looked after.

The studio itself - is incredibly well equipped with literally every modifier you could think of, as well as ample set design options all cleverly interlocking with each other. The natural light option is lovely and the light wall helps to fill this in if necessary.

The studio is kept warm and well stocked with snacks and drinks. On top of this, Andy takes care to feed you throughout, really making sure you're comfortable.

I absolutely adore this studio and will return time and time again.

I arrived for a camera club session on Wednesday evening. This was the second time I have been at Kempston and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Andy is friendly, welcoming and easy to chat to, he also makes a great cuppa tea! he has a tonne of knowledge about lighting/set ups too.

Everyone at the camera club was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. It is a great place to shoot with a large amount of props and scenes to use. I love that its warm too!

It was a lovely evening and a great experience. I hope to shoot there again soon :)

I have attended more than 30 studio days at Kempston Studio since Andy opened up during the Covid times and I have many future bookings in the pipeline.

I love Kempston Studio it has everything I need to have a great shoot and Andy is always super helpful in set ideas and lighting (although the last few times I've arrived with ideas ... go me) and the tea is very drinkable :-)

I was look to find a studio further south to me that I could use.

Kempston Studio looked ideal. A quick message to Andy to ask about local models so I could try out the facilities and a half day booking was made with the lovely Kate Star, their resident model.

Easy to find on an industrial estate and no worries about parking, just park right outside; the studio turned out to be an Aladdin's cave of props that could be turned into photographic magic.

Nothing was too much trouble and Andy was quick to setup anything I required, from backgrounds to a tethering table for my laptop.

I can throughly recommend Kempston Studio to any models or photographers and I'll certainly be back.

Had an absolutely amazing shoot with Andy yesterday, he’s very polite and respectful, very chatty which made time fly by.

He lad loads of great ideas for the shoot and a plan to follow, I am over the moon with the few photos I have seen so far and cannot wait to see the rest!

The studio is everything you could want with different sets and a great selection of props.

The shoot was very laid back and gave me plenty of breaks between sets which was helpful.

Definitely recommend, looking forward to the next shoot
